Surrender and bang rules are b*llshit I dont care if someone is 6ft or 6 inches I am pulling the trigger and expect the same from them. I have had people try to go for the surrender and dry fire so you never know. If you are worried about getting hurt by a little plastic bb fired out of a toy gun then you you really need to man up or take up knitting instead.

The dead players is a good one. When you have flanked players and drop them then they shout "AH MAN WE DIDN'T SEE YOU" - Yes I know you didn't please pipe down. It's nice having a bit of banter but not when you are in the process of flanking more people that have no idea you are there. Also try to avoid using being dead and walking back to safe zone as an opportunity to scout half the enemy team. Everyone does it now and again without thinking but some players are terrible for it. I don't think I have ever heard it mentioned in a briefing but it is a cheap tactic.

  5. Yes you can. Some sites might have this rule but never heard of one. Main rules are; Dont be aggressive to other players. Always play safe as possible Dont be a try hard its a game no one is a real soldier. And the most important one is get stuck in and have fun.

If you think you have hit someone but aren't 100% assume you haven't. I'm sure people thinking "well they aren't taking their hits so I won't take mine" is the main reason cheating escalates in a day, and in actual fact you never hit them. Don't fire in the safe zone, ever. A lot of sites cover this in the brief but either way it still happens so much it isn't funny. Sometimes I wish I could hold my gun up to someone who is doing its face and say "this gun has no magazine in it, are you happy for me to pull the trigger to confirm there's not a BB loaded?" - I would never do this but I am illustrating a point in case anyone isn't sure When crossing in front of another player shout something like "crossing" let's them know what you are doing and avoids some point blank friendly fire incidents. Fortunately a lot of sites mention this, but if you aren't sure if you are hit just take it. I've been walking back to the safe zone and realised that what hit me was a rain drop.. It's better safe than sorry. Edit: Most of what I am saying tends be covered in safety briefs, but anyone that plays at a site regularly will notice that occasionally the person doing the briefing is essentially relying on regulars to highlight anything they missed. This is something I have seen happen at multiple sites.

  8. Find a good team , run internal events, thats how my team (Bolsheviks) do it. People take their hits, everyone gets on because if you dont you get booted. We have a setup where the organisation committee play the enemy for the rest of the team.

  9. Just make sure to buy his face mask from some where half decent and not an ebay cheapy. A decent mask is the single best investment for you for your sons safety

  10. I had the same problem with my ICS M4. When I went to the mall I asked in there shop and he recommended a choke which ties over the stock. Not as tidy as a sling point I know but it's holding up just fine till I sort out a proper one

  11. Perhaps consider a buffer tube sling mount. There are loads out there - the Magpul ASAP style one is quite good. Like you, I'm left handed and went all out to make my M4 completely ambidextrous right down to the bolt and mag release. I messed around with a few QD mounts on stocks but didn't like them. The ASAP style buffer tube sling mount was really straight forward and works well though. I'm sure PTS used to make them for AEGs too - if not, I'm sure there are clones out there.

  12. Very nice but suggest you buy as many selector sears, nozzles and mags as you can before they disappear

It's 3 hours from me but I will make the trip befor the end of the year. I don't really us surrender rule. If am that close to that I wouldn't want to shoot then that must mean I could use a knife kill. Being that close usually means I have spent time creeping around enemy team so to say the word surrender or bang load enough for the player to hear will alert the other opposing players to my position. It is often possible to take out two or three players before firing a single bb. On the etiquette front, if u are knife killed and the player whispers "stealth kill" in your ear don't shout hit. Stand up and walk back to regen. Once back in the game shout as loud as possible to alert your team but dead players don't talk.

I usually go for the knife kill if I'm that close. No-one ever argues with a foot and a half long blade painted to look real (P1908 bayonet=they don't like it up 'em). If you have to shoot someone close up, aim for somewhere less vital, never the head.

  16. Rough translation - payback time you will now feel what " FINE " really means God help you if she also says " We need to talk " I'd consider getting a groin cup - just in case

  17. Bought an ICS MP5 SD6 with a 7.4 2 cell lipo battery and an SRC charger. A single point sling, new half black face mask and a condor molle vest with a 3 mag pouch. Oh and a rail for the Mp5. Next up is a bladder, phone and fag pouch and a bb pouch for the vest and another mag then a holosight. Still waiting for my helmet to be delivered. Just need a day to play with the new bits. On a side note, My Mrs likes the feel of shotguns and may be up for a game! CQB mad blonde with a shotgun hehe.

If you have the drop on someone and would be able to shoot them point blank, give them a chance to just accept that they are dead. Either a tap on the shoulder with a hand or melee weapon or a bang rule if that's something your site does. The stairs thing is pretty simple. If you shoot down at someone you will hit them in the head at short range and that will hurt a lot. Don't start complaining loudly about other players. If someone isn't taking hits, tell a marshall so they can watch that player. There may be a reason for it (your gun isn't as good as you think it is, the other player may be wearing too much clothing to feel the hits etc.)

Everyone plays for different reasons. Just because you or your team are serious players, a lot of people just want to get out the house at the weekend. Also, only the losers are playin for fun! Hahah

  20. I hate hearing abuse fly on the field of battle, we all get the hump now and again but I hate it when players start hurling abuse at each other. Really ruins it for me.

  21. Even being asked by a member of my own team as I walked back to dead zone where are they then - soz m8 I'm dead so can't say - jeeez most of this is all common sense fair play stuff really end of the day - don't sweat it if you get it wrong at first - you are a newbie ffs (I'm still a noob tbh and it is just a game but we try our best to play fair & we are all learning by mistakes) newbie rental kids you kinda expect them not to fully grasp it first time around it is when you see the experienced players bending or blatant cheating it really stinks Good on ya for asking - you got the perfect idea of trying to play as fair as possible (if only all players did this there would be few rows & bitching so we could all just get on and play ffs)

Biggest gripe for me in the few games I have had is "dead people don't talk". We had some guy get hit aways in front of us, come running back for a re-spawn screaming at people to move up.... Not only upsetting everyone but giving the whole teams position away as well. We were at the time creeping through undergrowth silently to sit an pick off the people looking at the main assault points.

    Gun brands

G&G - Excellent overall, very little problems with the combat machine series (such as some magazines require a bit of tape to feed properly) Very good reputation. Classic Army - Again, excellent guns, built very nicely. I'd avoid their Sportline series as the plastic they use for the receivers are very fragile. King Arms - Pretty much the same as Classic Army, but with a more 'exotic' variety of guns available. An underrated company. ICS - Fantastic guns, good reputation about almost all of their rifles, my L86 is built like a tank and performs brilliantly after some tinkering with the hop up. I've noticed that their M4's are shaped differently compared to the standard Marui/clone M4's, but that's probably to do with the split-gearbox design. Airsoft-Ed has extensive knowledge on their L85's, if you have any questions about them, ask him. GHK - veeerrrryyyyy nice GBBR's. Nothing but praise from their owners. Realistic finish and solid performance, the G5 is a pretty good cold-weather gun despite it being a GBBR. But I'd recommend doing your own research on them before plunging into the gbbr route. G&P - Great platform for building an aeg, finish is nice on all their guns, however they're a bit pricey for what they offer. A&K/P&J - I've only ever owned their spring SVD, but I have heard nothing but praise about their aeg's, try and purchase one from Taiwangun as UK retailers overprice them. JG/Golden Eagle - Aged, since the "Golden Eagle" re-brand, prices for them have increased dramatically for the soul purpose of making money from them, they're overhyped by such retailers, claiming that they're "better than Tokyo Marui - JBBG" but there's nothing special about them. If you find a JG online, purchase it from (again) Taiwangun or other Hong Kong/Taiwanese websites. I'd avoid purchasing second-hand, normally heavily used and poorly maintained. Also popular for their VSR clones as they are cheap and, to some extent, built better than the Marui version. Cyma - Fantastic value for money, their AK's are very reliable, but avoid their M4's as they're a bit crap, as expereinced by Airsoft_Mr B. They've recently introduced some tri-shot M870's in metal and plastic varients, not much is known about them but they look to be nice little shotguns. Tokyo Marui - Their standard aeg's have aged.. Poorly. For how much they cost, you can get a MUCH nicer and better performing gun, same with their Tr-shot shotguns. However, their Recoil guns and gas blow backs are still considered the best on the market by many, understandably so. Cybergun - Same as Echo1, they put trade marks on existing cheap aeg's then overprice them for it. WE - Hit and miss, personally. Their aeg's are good, using the same materials that they build their GBB's from, gearbox's are pretty bog standard. If you're going to purchase their GBB rifles, don't bother replacing parts as soon as you get one, wait for the parts to break then start to replace them. They do however require an NPAS which makes the fps adjustable. My Hi-Power and AK fell apart, but I think my AK fell apart due to the recoil kit I put in it. Says it all really. Well - Eh, avoid. Their Gen 1, 2 and 3 L96's are good, the Gen 3 is better built but needs upgrading if you want it to be somewhat useable on the field. KWA - Good guns, but proprietary parts are a bit annoying. Their ERG is fantastic, crisp recoil and solid performance. Excellent gas guns, especially the popular MP9, amazing performance from such a little gun. The noise it makes is scary. Double Eagle - Shotguns are fantastic, however everything else they've made is a bit mediocre. Jin Peng - Lol, Tippman - Their M4 has good reputation so far, HPA so requires extra money being spent to make it work, definitely worth it though. Systema - I'll leave them to your own judgement, people that own them praise them but people that don't own them tend to talk crap about them. However, they perform amazingly, very quiet guns, but I'll never own one. Celcius - Better than Systema as they're constantly innovating and offering different upgrade options for their guns. Reputation is good, price is ok for what they offer. Real Sword - Excellent guns, people buy them for their realistic features and finish, and for their unique guns that they offer. Ares/Star - From what I've heard from people on the forums, the problems that their guns have are a bit of a widespread myth, from my own experience they're just as reliable as any other aeg. But do your own research about them and come to your own judgement about them. Krytac - Excellent guns for the money, better gearbox's and overall design than most aeg's in the same price range on the market. Dytac - What G&P should have been. Fantastic looking guns with better-than-standard internals, people have been running 11v lipos through them without issues. Definitely recommend them over G&P any day. SRC - Eh, avoid. Mediocre quality for the price that you pay. Their G36's are nice, but comparable to JG's G36's in terms of performance. APS - Comparable to Classic Army, slightly lower quality but solid guns overall. D-boys - Popular for their cheap Scar-L's & Scar-H's, most of their guns have a poor finish, the paint they use for their M4's feels like a chalk board, good guns though. Their AK's are nice, most of them being made from steel and wood but you don't pay the Real Sword price for one (albeit their finish is poorer.) Aim Top - Solidly built guns, but the externals are a bit naff. Comparable to JG. LCT - Realistic fit and finish, but they're pretty much a conversation piece, I've noticed they're more attention grabbing than PTW's (probably over-exaggerating). Which isn't a bad thing at all. S&T - Toyish externals, especally with their Tar 21's, a good option if you want a cheap exotic gun that won't fall apart straight away. Snow Wolf - Like with S&T, a good option if you want a cheap exotic gun, they're only popular for their M82's and M41A pulse rifle. Evolution - They seem to be well built, but I don't know much about them. AGM - Again, same with S&T, a good option if you want a cheap exotic gun (primarily their WW2 weapons such as the popular MP44 and Sten gun.) quality and performance is comparable to stock JG's. Echo1 - They essentially re-brand JG's, AGM's and other cheap manufacturers and overprice them because they'll include an extra magazine. Essentially, they're a money making gimmick. CAA - Comparable to Classic Army, nice externals, standard internals, the furniture for their M4's looks absolutely horrendous IMO. Like G&P, they're a bit overpriced for what they are. Hope that helps.

  26. I wish I had know how many absolute bell ends play airsoft. From simply double digit IQ morons right through to full on cockwombles. I started playing at halo mill and met a great bunch of lads, that I wish I had made more effort getting to know and kept in some sort of touch with. now I just seem to meet people I wouldn't piss on. Maybe it's a me problem, maybe I need to change sites.
