  1. Something tells me that these sites that don't allow photography/film have something to hide. Like they don't want people filming their regulars cheating, or marshals not doing their jobs properly.. Whatever, they're losing out on free advertising. Their loss.

hi all! thank you for your answers! I've already found the good picture of badge in google. Of course Im not going to walk around in the form of a police officer, it is for airsoft only in a limited location. Here in Russia (south region) we have some rules about airsoft (not legal it's our own), for example do not wear insignia in public places and all weapons must be in bags. In this game we reconstruct Ulster Ireland conflict and my playrole is british policeman. here are some our photos for your pleasure ))

I highly doubt hes going to walk around the streets in russia dressed as a uk police officer ffs. Its an airsoft forum lads, ever think it may be for an airsoft loadout? it is illegal to impersonate a member of HM Forces yet we see plenty of players on site in the gear week in week out

The real steel G36C is polymer bodied to make it intentionally lighter, so it's a very cheap way of getting a "realistic" feeling weapon Forgot to mention about the ASG he linked to. A quick internet search reveals it's a rebrand of the JG G36C which apparently have quite fickle quality control with the gearbox and wiring. Not had one myself (so can't say if this accurate or not) but there are a large number of results if you look for common problems with the rifle on google. For that alone I'd really spend/save up the extra and get the SRC. If you want to try your luck with the JG/ASG, try checking sites for ex hire guns they may have for sale. I know landwarrior had a few decent ones available for a really low price a couple of months ago so it's worth looking into.

Search airsoft airbana into Google then click on the first link and go to skirmish maps. you can then see where all the airsoft sites are near to you.

    Advice for a novice.

Hello fellas. Great forum..! Please can anyone advise me on purchasing a decent m4 airsoft rifle. Back in the 90's i purchased a UHC (Made in Taiwan) UA954 BB Pistol. Good looking pistol with a good weight..It cost £44. brand new form a shop in manchester. Being a bloke the first thing i did was load it up and shoot a bb into the palm of my hand to see how powerful it was..! It tickled a bit and left a slight red mark. I was'nt impressed. But the biggest thing that let me down was it did'nt have an auto firing mode..! Now years later i have decided to upgrade to some of the new tech available these days but i am lost and need some good advice guys please. I'm after a something like a G&G combat machine GR16 AEG type of rifle. I understand these are a good make and will last and are upgradable? I'm not UKARA reg. It's only for back yard use.. so i guess it will have to be painted in noddy colours. Blue and yellow..! I'm nearly 50 and that made me feel like a 7 year old asking for dynamite..! On a serious note, i do understand the regulations. Note: i have been on various web sites and to be honest they are useless as 99% of the guns i like are 'Out of stock'..? Being a tight yorkshire man i would rather buy a used item but no one is allowed to advertise Airsoft guns in the UK.! I have a budget of around £200-250.. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Cheers guys.

  16. Personally I am not a fan of the mesh masks and I have two issues with them. The first is that there is no standard to which they are tested for safety so you can't before you buy know what level of defence it provides. Secondly mesh masks have been tested by a lot of people and on getting hit they do get shards penetrating. Its all about your personal level of risk, if you are willing to risk loosing an eye or damaging an eye in order to avoid fog out then a mesh mask might very well be suitable, but I honestly don't know a good way to test if its any good oither than to buy 2 and fire at the first one with paper behind it and determine its failure point. So for me face masks are not really about looking good, its about keeping my teeth and my eyes and so I buy the kit that has been tested to the appropriate standards.

  17. The only time I've seen shields in is in a game at my main UK site when you occupy a building, occupiers have unlimited and the team that does it in least time wins. Even with the shield (which can take any amount of shots, but have to be dropped if you die, and dead men cant retrieve them), it's quite a challenge! As for them being cheating. No. Cheating is if you break the rules your local site have put up for them. If you like them or not thou, that's a different matter Different sites have different rules on gun hits. My main UK site gun hits does not count. Where I play in Sweden, they do. some sites if you get hit on the gun its out of action, meaning you can use a secondary if you have one.

  18. When I said import, what I meant was posting my own RIF from an overseas address to my address here. But if an offence is committed just by "bringing an RIF into Great Britain" then I guess I need the defence as well. On a separate note; Gosh, that smile looks... happy.

Just for future reference, ASG import in to Europe and rebrand. Who the original manufacturer is can vary and don't assume they're just from the cheap end. I know they re-brand the Lomex M4, plus many of their pistols are KWA. Also their MP9 is KWA. Mean while, do not be tempted to get a two-tone gun, they are false economy - instead use rentals till you get registered and buy your own gun - you'll also end up with a collection of amo this way too (as rental costs normally includes 3000 rounds).

  20. It's three games within a year but not under two months, as UKARA says. The thing about importing RIFs I'm not sure about though because a lot of people do order from Europe and Asia, as long as you've got a UKARA defence it should be fine to order from abroad.

No ASG then that would be a great start to airsoft think ill stay away from them thanks two zero and thanks for the google key words zak just found one that's about 30 miles from me so not to far to go
    1 point
  22. "They clearly state that the three games must be played NOT UNDER two months and NOT OVER one year" This is the correct one. Thou, even thou you have to play at least one game/year after that, some sites will require you to play more frequently for them to update your UKARA. So I suppose they could say you have to play more months or more times before they send in the paperwork.. if they wanted to (highly unlikely). Never less thou.

*SRC GEN 3 is some polymer or something that feels less plastic and more like the real thing aswell. Said to match (and sometimes outshine) much more expensive guns. From what I've heard and my limited experience (got an ASG 2-3 months ago, was broken, returned for repair and well, I still dont have it), I would not get an ASG. I have very little first hand experience thou

No less than than three skirmish games at a registered site over no less than two months - you can't play three games in less than that and expect to get registered. You then get them to stamp/sign your UKARA form and then you send it to a registered retailer who process it for you. Some skirmish sites will send it on your behalf if you ask nice enough. You then get an email telling you when you're registered - just make sure to double check your junk email box (where mine appeared).

Hi mate, welcome to the site. Most g36c rifles are pretty sturdy but if you could give us your ideal budget then we could make more accurate recommendations. The most recommended starter g36c you'll see is the SRC G36C Gen 3 series. They're very solid rifles (for the price) after you downgrade the spring to make it legal at most sites since I've seen a few of these over 350 fps (the limit for most sites) out of the box. Here's a few links: http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=7030 http://www.airsoftworld.net/two-tone-src-g36c-gen-iii-airsoft-rifle.html A fair few sites use these as hire guns for good reason. Obviously get UKARA out of the way first (if you're over 18). If you're underage then you'll need it two toning and a responsible adult to buy it and "gift" it to you.

  33. What about when you can't see where your shots are going? Like when it's dark or the light isn't good for it, or whatever? Once you get to know your rifle snap shooting without using sights becomes quite easy, but if you want to be certain you're going to hit your mark, when it really comes down to it and it matters, sights are invaluable. I always use sights unless I'm caught unaware. If you find them pointless then either your gun is terrible, or you don't know how to sight them in/or set your hop correctly. A tip for sighting in that I always use, find a big open area and get your hop set flat. I find under hopping ever so slightly is actually better for range because the BB's drop off is more gradual instead of it just dropping out of the air when it runs out of spin. Set your sights on the point where your shots start to dip. For me it's around the 30/40m mark. Then you know that so long as you're within that range you shots will be climbing up to the reticle, so aim up as appropriate for super close range, but anything beyond that and you'll have to start aiming high. Once you get used to the set up it's a piece of piss to get along with.

  40. My son who was 13 at the time recieved a bright orange l96 rifle complete with scope/bipod for xmas, it was just because he wanted to shoot targets in our back garden. Which turned out to be really fun, at the time I never heard of airsofting and I'm not sure he did, but after researching about his gun and a few others we found a site close to us and i took him for his bday. Both of us loved it, we did use his rifle i think for one game but realised it wasnt as fun as using the sites aeg's also it drew a few under the breath comments and snickers from the sites regulars so we left that in the car for the rest of the day. We were both buzzing after the day had finished. Needless to say 9 months later we attend that site once a month, i bought us decent weapons and army surplus kit to use, and I take a couple of his school mates with us, theres usually quite few kids on site some regulars and some that are just there for a bday or something. I do hear cod/bf3 mw2 mentioned a lot but thats just kids having fun. My point after all this is let the kids and there dads enjoy the day the way they want too, I'm forever helping some kid reload bb's or get dirt out of his muzzle or just generally pointing them in the right direction. This snobery I see onsight from the regulars/members towards some kids/ppl because they got cheap sh1t equipment and no clue how to use it annoys me, cast your minds back to when you first started and think how it was. I love it when i hear kids all buzzing about something they did or saw ingame, by the way that bright orange sniper rifle is now fully upgraded and shooting regular at 480-495fps with a matte olive colour paint job, it looks the part and shoots the part.

Be happy with what you've got and plan for what you want to get, ignore those who have greater means, theirs or those they're borrowing from others.

  46. I had a word with one of those lads a few weeks ago to demonstrate to him that his gun was not capable of firing anywhere near as far as he thought by comparing it to my AKS on the hyperball field. He didn't seem very impressed or pleased. I only did it because every person hanging back where their guns can't even provide covering fire is basically increasing the opposition by one. I had no idea why this obvious noob came across with the confidence usually only obtained through knowing wtf you're on about. Now I get it: he thought gaming had clued him up. Penis.

  48. that they seem to think the range of airsoft guns is the same as in cod and wonder why when thye aim down the sights and fire at the other side of the site that the opponents dont take their hits....
    1 point
  49. How can you even start to talk like that to him? Seeing as you own black viper and an ls pistol, you can't downplay his choice of guns, especially calling the 'cheap crap'. If bulldogs are the best bb's you have used, then you're obviously not in any position to put down what other people use.
