New pew, replacement for my LM4D workhorse. Paired it with a PEQ15, 3x magnifier and RDS and finished it off with a Bifrost BT for flame fun.

I don’t think it identifies as a carbine any more 😂

Probably the most problematic build I’ve had, but it’s finally done!

Umarex G36C with a custom barrel extension (It’s about .4” too long 😬) Kurz style gas block, Ultima H-Key rail, SOTAC (I believe) EOTech and magnifier and a LLM when it arrives.

Stock needs drilling to fit as the Umarex one isn’t correct for the impression, hence it just “resting” and the fire selector markings need removing and replaced with the “SEF”

Reference attached, Luftlandeaufklärungskompanie 260

Latest acquisition, which I got in a trade yesterday.

Already have the full size one, so I'll be looking forward to tinkering about and playing with this too.

Is that not 1:1?

By full size, I meant the full stock, longer barreled version

Really nice camo job. Did you use netting as your guide lines for the hexagons?

Did you manage to remove the twang noise from the nozel spring and recoil spring? If so how did you manage to do it because ive tried putting grease on the sping and it still has a loud twang noise.

Aye, but the others in his pouches look just like my one ;)

Just as well I'm not a stitch counter lol.

My own Mk18 Mod 0 isn't too dissimilar.....

I seem to have fallen down an AR15 rabbit hole, think a URG-i will be next unless an L85A2 pops into the classifieds.

Another 1 for the British Forces Collection.

A colt model 603.

Pictured here in use during SAS jungle training.

Also made a second upper for my Colt 715.

Making it a colt model 701. (Export M16A2, with full auto function, not 3rd burst like usgi A2s).

Pictured here during OP BARRAS.

What makes this different to the A2's that are available please?

Most of (if not all) the A2's I've looked at are full auto, I've found an A2 kit with a lower with the correct markings for a burst mode but nothing else.

As far as I’m aware, the 705’s (Fixed Carry handle & Burst - Military A2, also known as the “R645”) only difference is that the 701 has full auto capability.

Not much to see here today, just a long black stick among green/brown vegetation that apparently is invisible to others and silly quiet.

I don't know how you can't see me, wearing my short sleeve RG invisibility cloak and my usual invisible grey backpack :D
