Impulse
CQB gun. Cyma m14, but with a TM m14 stock. Not 100% on the optic mount at the moment because I know the Laylax mount doesn't work well with the Cyma receiver (had to use it; outer barrel didn't work with the TM receiver) and ends up being off by a fraction of a degree, meaning you can never zero the scope properly. Currently using the G&P scope mount as I want a low profile mount, but if that doesn't work like the Laylax mount doesn't, I know my TM scope mount will work, it's just a bit higher up. And no, I'm not joking. I will take this to CQB games Lozart, Pinovic and Baptimus_Prime 2

Supporters Popular Post TheFull9 Posted August 24, 2023 Supporters Popular Post Share Posted August 24, 2023 Been posting these old photos (around 2010-12) on social media then remembered they've never been on here either, only Arnies back in the day. The quality isn't a bug on the forum or anything, the images are just intrinsically that low resolution. Couple of iterations of my 14.5" NGRS back when I had the King Arms CASV. These days it has a carbon fibre handguard so it's just a tad lighter than the EGLM setup. Beorn
Brace yourselves for yet another generic M4 build. My first RIF, totally stock rifle covered in chinesium bits and bobs but I'm pretty happy with it to be honest! Just need to earn a bit of weathering on it now or maybe take a rattle can to it... if I dare

uncleanlatent
Just picked up a Vortex strike eagle 1-6 LPVO for my HK416D NGRS. Zeroed for 30 meters and this thing makes me feel like I’m cheating! Would highly recommend. CrackCommandoUnit1972

Supporters SeniorSpaz87 Posted August 29, 2023 Supporters Share Posted August 29, 2023 Done a few projects in the meantime. First, I *finally* found a Kaiju; the gun that originally got me into new-gen KWAs before the seller backed out and I ended up buying my Black Cherry TK45 a few years back. Well, now I have the Kaiju as well after all these years. It was a store display model too so its like new, and the seller had a set of mags cerakoted to match, so I have the full set of 7. I have also worked out all the kinks on my converted APS CAM870 mk2. Mods include a bunch of dremelling to take a HPA tap, cutting through a QD sling point to route the line, two MatchSavers mounted to the side of the new Magpul handguard for quick topping off, some modifications to fit both a APS shell-catcher and top rail, a +1 printed mag tube extension, and some smaller bits and pieces scattered throughout. I also have been working with biodegradable filaments to print short-lifespan shotshells that can be fired and left behind; the bio PETG works decently but I want to try the algae-based PLA as well. Here it is in action: IMG-7666.mov And the tons of shells Ive been printing and testing: Nick G and Ronin0033
Johndaniel4863
My latest purchase to swap the MP5K with on my loadout. Plan on mounting a M600 scoutlight onto it as the G&P flashlight handguards are like hens teeth. Just trying to decide whether to put optics on it, or leave it with the iron sights? Removed the flash hider and swapped out the M4 style buffer tube stock it came with which will end up for sale as it made it look too modern for me Nick G, John_W and TheFull9

alxndrhll
Just had the PTW back from having a service and the finishing touches completed on a second upper. Popular Post Darkmikey22
So another British rifle added to the collection. To most its nothing special. "Just another M16vn"..... But here I have started to build a colt model 604. As issued to the British army in the late 60s, early 70s. Now the 604 is something of a Frankensteinian. It's neither a M16VN (XM16) or the later M16A1 (model 602). Main differences are compared to either the xm16 (VN) or the 602 (M16A2). The 604 comprises of a xm16 stock with a pivoting sling mount. Not the static version fitted to the later model 602. It also sports a partial fence. The XM16 was known as a slab side, where the 602 was a Full Fence. It also comes with an A1 barrel but still uses the early 3 prong (duck bill) flash hider. The British version also came with just plain export markings, aswell as being painted black with a paint called Suncorite. Now mine is still a work in progress. Ive had the markings filled. I'm still to source the correct rear sling mount, as well as the chromo smooth fake bolt. I then tried to replicate the suncurite paint best I could. As the real paint was just slapped on. I tried the same but in the pics looks smoother than it actually is. Only other thing is slings. Early version came with AR15 slings. But very quickly guys swapped these out for SLR slings. So will look at that in the future too. Next up. A British colt model 701. To most its just a M16A2.... It is, but not quite. Main difference being, the fire selection. The US issued A2 was colt model 702. Which externally are identical apart from the 702 was 3 round burst. Where the British issued 701 was full auto. Pictured here in use during OP barras in 2000. As far as I'm aware these where only purchased in small numbers, compared to the earlier colt model 715 (C7) which is still in wide use today. With mine, I've replicated the correct export markings along with with the correct "auto" one. Upper is just a standard G&P upper with a real A2 handguard. Later known as the C7. I built mine a few years ago with help from Jonathan ferguason. He's helped me out with my 604 too. Got another project he's helped with in the pipe line too haha. Just to bore you about hahaha. The 715 in the video is very unique. It has mainly A2 features. But the upper is odd. It has an A1 rear sight, but has a A2 brass deflector. Also another M16 A2 with the auto selection. Was originally bought by the sas, but is now in use with pathfinders, paras and royal marines. Here's the one I built while back.
