  1. Trying to get in on the "competitions" game. Don't get me wrong, I buy an AC ticket every now and then but this is taking the largest of pisses
  2. Obviously to pay for the laser engraving they had done....
  3. That explains alot, this is where I have played the times I have been. As in the hay bales were the limit...
  4. That's not ambush activities Botley is it? Thought the site was squarer than that? There was a white board with some x's and y's but no other marks as the game was explained using named locations...
  5. Count yourself lucky you may still get one! I made the mistake of losing mine along with a hard to replace pickupool patch... I may order another at some point, a forum patch that is. I replaced the deadachiu patch very quickly....
  6. I swear I started a similar thread a while ago with the intent to post all maps I find..... But yeah, it doesn't need to be a work of art or even anything beyond simple line drawing with basic features and names. First time (awhile ago now) at a new site (ambush Botley) and they start talking about locations "yeah, but where is it?" - oh just follow someone.... By lunch we had a conversation with owner about it, we had done a very rough sketch of the rest of the afternoon by the end of the day, someone had found a dnd map maker and boom, a usable map was born. The Gaol do theirs very well, with the "long game" locations, timings and scoring options all listed. Shout out to Justin as it hits 10Years in May. CS used to hand a copy to all site first timers. Many smaller sites might not need to bother, Red1 chiselhurst for example is compact enough to have have its areas clear and easy to navigate. As is mentioned already, it doesn't need much. For me, the effort of getting a map either on website or handed on game day speaks volumes about the sites level of welcome to new to site visitors. Excluding of course the smaller sites that don't need to...
  7. Found this gem in the Gear section https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/item/49315-accession-research-goliath-sling-and-jagd-shoulder-pads/
  8. Aren't these the folks that bought a certain cringe airsoft FB page with how they are going to "change the face of airsoft"? Follow up question, How high were you when you posted this ad? Can I buy some of that?
  9. It's OK, you can admit swinging the ban hammer gives you Thor vibes, this is a safe space...
  10. Maybe @Alex89Typecould say why we shouldn't fall for it.... Other than the day glow orange other side of Atlantic feel...
  11. Saw your picture on FB, been meaning to drop by that comment section to see how it's going. The orange arm bands are shiny new, I was there in mib Feb and we used blue and yellow, both sets needing a wash.... Big fan of sites that do double arms, and also red right other left, although I do have a hi team kill count from not having coffee that morning..... Ghillies? Fuck em, both arms above what ever foliage they have but on themselves
  12. It's completely not what you are looking for but the pattern 58 pouches are perfect....
  13. Definitely sounds like something Warzone could be talked into....
  14. My grip, was mostly due to the length of game with little in the way of gameplay...sure wet days need a touch more grace but still it's the time between games and the allowed bombing up time. It was the "your lucky we are using the whole site for this game" but what that game needed was a little more focused area. I will go back in the summer to give it another go, but on wet days I'll head somewhere else
  15. I mean, when I was there the marshals couldn't id which ammo crate belonged to which team as they had no markings... So needing cameras....yeah, ick
  16. The NAF is not a milsim event...it may have kit restrictions. Depending on which team you sign up for. Have a look at cold war airsoft, these is a site near Newbury called Gunman that run regular film and milsim style events. Have a look at kit requirements there to give you a better idea. Some will even have hire kit.
  17. That is until you find that unicorn that is collection only and round the corner....
  18. Thought these were offered as a pair o. Release for the same cash... Also would not be willing to trust those mags don't need a bit of work to be consistent.
  19. People talk but rarely see the positives in his impact on Airsoft. Just think of all those "like new" two tone bolt action rifles that fill the classifieds of many spaces. Most wouldn't be able to make it to Mack's without him 🤫
  20. What is particularly amusing about this is Gordon is the admin of ukac2.0 one of the very few almost respectable FB groups and Chris is the Admin of the Airsoft UK group... Didn't know he was a massive fan boi.
  21. The correct term is patch whore, and yes you appear to be that. Given my short time in the hobby (call it a 5years or so since first game) even I have seen a number of groups and "orgs" come and fade one of the most hilarious was "Ascension research/Airsoft" They bought a meme/cringe FB page with hints that they were going to "change the Airsoft landscape" So I shall also remain sceptical as well.
  22. Most of my postings on this thread is going to be "ok, so..." Ok, so.... Got to driver, the lads TM MC51 came in at a respectable 297 (.25's), great start to the day. Took both of my paperweights to see if I was using them or not. Or not, as it turns out. The ics with a full seal now shoots 1 shot with a new mag at a spicy 354 on .25's, the OG spring will be going back in there.... The Caa m4 with the king's arms gearbox...I think need to go back in and have another look at the trigger. When pulled, there was no spin from motor but with half a pull and carefully holding I can get it to fire but lacks consistency. So another one I need to crack open again.... Any tips on what to look for as to trigger contacts and placement?
  23. I do love the ics split gearbox, like, a lot. Makes it so simple to dive into the cylinder section of the box. So, I went back in and cleaned all the grease off various places where it had no right to be....I made some mistakes.....and started again with both cylinder heads, turns out that was my issue both were leaking from the front and not sealing. Cue the silicon grease Next up is seeing whether or not I need to have a slightly longer nozzle on one of them...
