Just got back from my local CQB - Z-mart. Was a big night of firsts for me. First time with my own kit, using mid-caps, a side-arm, tracers, sights the whole lot. What a bloody great night it was too, great mix of players from rentals to old-hands, springer shotguns to HPA. But we were all there to have fun and that’s exactly what we did. Loved having my own kit and a tracer really does come into its own in indoor CQB. Mid-caps are fun but I was glad I decided to use a hi-cap as my last mag, only dipped into it twice but I was glad not to be worrying about being down to my last 100 rounds. Having the sidearm was brilliant in tight stairwells, it’s also quicker to swap to that than change a mag mid fire-fight. It’s definitely gonna take a while to speed up my mag change! Pew decided to briefly shit itself and stopped working but it turned out the mag detector thing had got out of place so a bit of a fiddle and I was back in the game. Also need to remember that on a 1-point sling my rifle’s fairly close to the ground so ducking when using the pistol does mean it occasionally dinks the ground. Maybe I should look into a 2-point one to sling it onto my back. TL:DR - awesome night at Z-mart

Finally got my mag adapters to run the more manageable mp5 mags. mag wobble is no more than the standard magazines. I'll test them out this weekend for any feeding issues

Fortunately the "only orders over £135" for the UK tends to push me away, but before that I would agree with you. Bought so much from Taiwangun in the past

The only downside with the TM G17 gen3 as I see it are the specs. Although running a G22 holster solves that problem. Wonderful pistol if you’re into upgrading and rebuilding. There’s a ton of aftermarket parts available.

Just had 4 sticks of unobtanium land this morning:

420fps on 0.12g's 349fps on 0.20g's 290fps on 0.28g's ....mystery solved? Haha, I know, probably not....but wouldn't that be funny?

Hate to say it but it's probably both. Gas efficiency on the 1911 isn't great, coupled with the small mag means that when it gets in any way cold they can struggle. There's things you can do like high flow valves, aftermarket gas routers etc etc but it depends how much more you want to spend on a gun that's not great to start with.

Ahoy and welcome and yes. Given that we know these turn into shitfests, I'd wonder if some (not all) folk are going to them now to have a whanger weekend where the normal rules of airsoft (starting with the first one) don't apply. Either way, it's not something I'd rush to sign up for.

@Angus1 Did you check if the new piston has exactly the same amount of teeth? Could be that there are 1 or 2 teeth short. What was compression like in the gearbox? Was the air seal good with the whole compression set together and the nozzle sitting in the tappet plate on the end of the cylinder head.

These are double stack 1911 mags. But upper part of the pistol is Hicapa. So your gas capacity isn't going to be great. This will work much better with warm mags.

I think assuming it will be an absolute mess is a given at this point.

I had teeth snap off my spur gear on my specna edge. I've ended up getting a new zci shell from ak2m4 with all new Gears and internals

If the site limit is 350fps then HPA is likely to be closer due to the nature of the setup. Just because you (and I as a matter of fact) run AEG's in the 330 range doesn't make the 349.9fps HPA user a cheater. Yeah it's more energy, yeah it's faster and yeah it'll hurt more, but it's still within the rules. If you reckon someone is cheating then that's what the marshals are for, if you do nothing in-game and then complain on a forum nothing will happen to change your issue. I wish my RIF was accurate enough to specifically target fingers or any particular part of another player. Generally I'm slinging BB's in their general direction on the off chance one of them will hit 😂 If you play this game there is a high likelihood of some very close combat, hell I play CQB most of the time and often look like I've a case of measles the following day! Some of the shots hurt like f**k but that's what you're signing up for when you go on a game day. Last game day I needed cleaning up after a shot broke the skin on my forehead (no complaints from me, didn't even realise till I got some odd looks in the safe zone) and I've even had to get an out of warranty replacement on my watch after I stupidly forgot to take it off and it got smashed by a BB - think it was a pistol that time. HPA has a bad rep as it's easier to cheat, but that's not the systems fault, it's the users and the marshals. If all else fails, play somewhere else.

Been working on some OPFOR kits. Nothing political meant by any of it of course. Type 21 is just about done (need to custom make one more piece) and I can go with a helmet or BF4 Scout if I want haha. The final pieces for an EMR kit were ordered today, I also have a Downed Airman Vietnam kit in the works, and two or three other Russian/Soviet kits that I think are done as well.

Well got my kit together for tomorrow's Big Skirmish at AWA. My SVU courtesy of @Asomodaiwill be having its first run, which I'm looking forward to. Got a big bag of 0.32s to go with it as well as a 3d printed stock extension which is stuck on such that it can be taken off if needed without leaving marks (the adhesive is still going off, but it will be invisible when it has finished). Also got an alternative 2x scope with a filament reticule which is pretty good. There's a red dot sight in my case too. And of course my obligatory "Running Fat" badge. Have got a second Ops panel so I can quickly swap between M4 spray and pray games and DMR. I haven't decided yet whether to try an run with both the M4 and the SVU at the same time.... That's a pretty heavy kit if I do. But I don't fully trust all my pistol mags.
