I've been on a fixed carry handle obsession recently so I picked up a bag of bits that theoretically I can turn into a CAR-15/Colt SMG at home

Even selling on behalf a friend, swear I've seen this episode before 🤔

My work here is done. What a cockwomble. He was even commenting on his own sales post wondering why noone was buying his overpriced offerings. As I tried telling him 80-85% of retail is not the accepted norm here, add to that: 1. GHK AK QC issues 2. Its not a rarity so doesn't merit extra 3. TM and VFC offerings are much better and cheaper 4. Its Xmas and the market is flooded with people trying to offload gas guns 5. The mere act of opening brand new parts and putting them in a gun means that they are used, I don't care if they have been placed there by the Virgin Mary herself, you cannot charge new prices. 6. His payment method left people open to being ripped off. Oh and his annoying way of trying to word everything precisely plus the claim of being a Professor when he lives in a shithole in Romford all made me want to wind him up even more. @TackleHes redone the advert without applying the new rule 5, ban? In fact hes done it on all his ads

I'll never understand why a "friend" can go to the time, expense and effort of upgrading their airsoft guns but creating their own account to sell them is such back-breaking work that can be considered a war crime.

That's the thing though, the only person he's been let down by is himself. If he's posted something which has got lost it's down to him to claim for it from the courier. If PayPal didn't give the buyer a refund when said parcel didn't arrive then they could be dropping themselves in it. Of course if he chose to either not buy the extra insurance or sent it via a courier who don't take rifs then it's his own stupid fault. All this is assuming we're getting the whole story which I'd bet we're not

My first AR platform is my take on a KS-1, using an EMG/Ares SR-16E Mod 2. Yes, the optics are wrong, but I don't have the £6K needed for an actual Vortex AMG and there's no replicas out there yet. The colours are also off, but give it a few years and all the issued KS-1s will all look like this 😄. All told, I'm happy with it, despite the dramas I had getting the base RIF. I hope it performs well enough. @PopRocket123 I said I would win you over with my next project. So am I getting better? 🥺

I don't think they should be What you described is the common occurrence of mag out, bb's fall out with one in the chamber that is cleared when the trigger is pulled. Op has said that the BB is stuck at the bottom of the hop up (Where the BB's load into), and can't be cleared by firing the pew. Does your hop unit have an o-ring or something similar at the feeding tube?

Fair enough that he's pissed off about being let down by Paypal after being fleeced out of guns he'd shipped before but why take that out on prospective buyers. Even if he listed something of interest to me, I'd buy elsewhere and pay more not to deal with his attitude.

Mine sometimes does that too and as I understand it it's a common problem and can be prevented by not being gentle with the release button. Also if/when it happens I find it easiest to push the shell back in and hit the release button again rather than trying to lever it out with a tool

And yet people still miss it 🤷

Hopefully this new rule will also help prevent people messaging about 5 year old adverts in the future too 🤔

Lol, you know me, I'm the "nuke em from orbit guy"😏, but I think a couple of days for members to get their heads round it before we start deleting, issuing warnings, or banning the mofo's🤣

Use heaviest bbs you can get, assuming you running full power. I use 0.43-0.48g depending on availability. And you should at least try to use an optic. Red dot or magnified or whatever, it helps a ton for single shot. I run a mix of scope and red dot on my SPR300 and both are great: red dot is lighter and faster, better for medium and short ranges; scope is heavier and slower to scope in, so better for longer ranges. Getting quick scopes with a red dot is very fun though. Also, get yourself a cheap chrono like the xcortech mk3, it comes real handy when you're testing power before game day. If it's above the power limit, just cut the spring bit by bit until you get it right. In terms of play style... I just run and gun with it like I would with an AEG. Play it like you would in a game. You will be severly disadvantaged with normal AEG power levels though. The whole point of a bolt action is to get a significant range advantage. You will basically just have to camp corners or jiggle peek because you only have one chance to catch someone before being forced to move away because you don't have the same volume of fire as a rental with a g36c does.

So an update, over the past couple of months, I've slowly sanded off the original varnish and just about finished recoating. I used 3x coats of water based wood stain (Dark Walnut), then 3x coats of Danish oil. I picked up a repro butt plate and tarnished with some salt & vinegar, it's not perfect fit, but better than the metal one it comes with. Happy enough with it, it's far from perfect, but then that adds a bit of character 🙂 Original vs real steel Sanded Reoiled Butt plate
