Scar h mag pouches options
Nick G and one other reacted to The_Lord_Poncho for a topic
I presume that Scar H 7.62 sized mags are the same size approx as SR25 7.62 mags - if so, i find that a two (5.56) mag pouch will happily and neatly accept a single 7.62 mag (at least, the MTP Osprey ones do).2 points -
Multi barrel shotguns in cqb ???
Rogerborg reacted to strykerles for a topic
I use a Cyma SGR12 sometimes in cqb and try not to use it up close if possible as I've been shot by it and it does hurt (keep a pistol handy) it can't be spammed as quick as an rifle due to the increased wind time. it's not possible to fire as quick. My AK could easily put out 10 bbs before the SGR has put out 6 it is a bit of a grey area when it comes to allowed shots though1 point -
It is a curious one. Some of them are unhopped / randomly hopped and/or low powered junk where you'd be lucky to get one BB on target at 20 feet. But some are not, and that "predator targeting" rash if you unload at 6 feet can be unpleasant. Also, if you end up with just one BB loaded, they can sometimes shoot a bit... spicy. In mitigation, I'd suggest that they're generally used by people who know what they're doing and who aren't out there to be tOp TiEr OpErAtOrS - I'm always mindful to keep mine aimed down, even more so than with other toys. As with a lot of airsoft, I suspect it comes down to what a given site owner / marshals / marshals' mates want to use, until one of them objects to taking a full load in the face.1 point

A lot of photoshop type scamming attempts recently, not sure if it's just one or two shit bags doing it, or is it a new tactic by scammers in general ?. As long as everyone, new & old, does their due diligence to the best of their abilities, & NEVER pays with anything other than PayPal goods & services, then there's usually a good likelihood of getting your money back.1 point

"Hello buddy, I have Movie prop series Maruzen ppk/s gbb pistol with silencer and magazine laying around collecting dust, Text me here is best [email protected], I get lot of spam calls and leave phone in the truck but check mail . Thanks" so yeah, scammer1 point -
It's not even that useful as a parts donor because mine also has that front end structural failure, so I assume that's endemic and common. It's the sort of thing that you might pick up at a bring-and-buy for £30 or so, then try to figure out how to restore the safe and semi to make it usable (but more likely just throw it in a box and forget about it).1 point

Hear is a link to the new generation steel kit for further info. https://www.bunnyworkshop.com.hk/products/ng-m1a1-01 Would ideally like to sell the lot as a whole but would be will to sell parts separately. Cannonfodder reacted to Tackle for an advert
Regarding the issue of "reduced" pricing, yep it's a big con, for example, if a large chain marks a particular item up at a higher price, & maintains that price for 28 consecutive days, they can then advertise it at a "sale" price, even if Joe Public thinks it's still overpriced. The loophole the bigger chains exploit is that they advertise it at the inflated price at only one location, usually their smallest outlet located in the back of beyond with barely any footfall, imagine a so called shop barely bigger than your average shed lol, usually attached to a delivery warehouse or similar, but by doing so it allows them to fiddle with the prices at every outlet they own at a later date. Just saying😏1 point -
SCAR H mags are essentially a modified FAL mag so anyth9ing that fits those will work.1 point

The front triangle's normally held on with pins, so there shouldn't be any structural reason you can't do it. Could either just pick a free float rail that's shorter than your front sight, or one of the ones that has a cutout - e.g. https://madbull.com/catalog/en/products/handguard-ras-rail-mount/daniel-defense-licensed-omegax-rail-12-fsp-fde-tan.html1 point

Yeah, get the largest capacity lipo, lion or life that will fit. The c ratings would be useful if they were not arbitrarily decided on or innacurate. Good chargers can measure the internal resistance which is a good measure of a quality battery, lower is better, it can also show cell imbalance in IR which is the sign your pack needs replacing. I know deans is popular but xt60 is a better connector. For many guns xt30 is sufficient. Better c rating is better ofcourse... I have got batteries from Amazon and patrolbase, they are all satisfactory1 point

Rogerborg reacted to Dan Robinson for a topic
There's lots of that going around various businesses and industries - and the lack of critical thinking in the populace means that companies more often than not get away with it.1 point -
Kind of sad though, as it indicates they believe they can shrug off their duty of care.1 point
-
It depends how much you shoot and space to fit it. To simplify it 1300mAh equals ~1300 pull trigger. Unless I'm mistaken you should aim for always a higher C rating just to make sure your motor can draw enough amp (especially when you spam semi indoor). So 1300:1000=1.3. 1.3x25=32.5 A.1 point

Steyr AUG …. But which one ?
The Waco Kid reacted to Iceni for a topic
Lonex hop unit, No idea about them. The stock plastic units are fine. Maple leaf hop rubber - I can't comment on that either. We have 350fps and cold weather here in the UK. So soft 50deg rubbers are generally more our thing. I'd run the stock rubber and hop unit till it breaks. https://www.evike.com/products/31081/ ASG mags - No issues there. You can get the MAG 170rnd ones from Evike. There my absolute favourite AUG mag. Good capacity, no winding, no rattle. If you can afford it then I would always recommend those mags. Equally the King Arms and ASG 110rnd mags are good options as well if you hate rattle. https://www.evike.com/products/31490/ Matrix spring - no idea, It's not a branding we see over here. Madbull Python 6.03 - Avoid Avoid Avoid. The barrel is too wide for an AUG's inner sleeve and will bind up causing all sorts of issues. The ZCI ones are spot on if you can find them. All of my AUGs use them. The other brands I have no idea about as the ZCI's have always been on point. https://www.evike.com/products/11878/ ASG AUG - It's an ASG sportline by the looks. Identical to the JG but with the added trades. Metal bushing, Basic motor, QC spring. Absolutely solid as a basic gun or upgrade gun. The JG may or may not have a QC spring depending on how old the stock is. With the ASG one having it in the description I would go that way. I wouldn't upgrade anything for the first few games on it. Get a feel for it first and work out what you need to do. If you go with the big batteries I've linked lower down be aware that the inline fuse may have difficulties as you can see a lot of current draw. So It may be worth adding some bigger fuses to the order. Or have a plan to bypass the fuse if it starts to glow. I'd run it on a 7.4v big lipo. 2200mAh. I Know I can fit a battery 103.6 x 34 x 15.5mm into mine no trouble. 101.1 x 35.5 x 16.1mm also fit and work. You may have to modify the bottom of the gearbox plate to remove a plastic part that sticks out (2 mins with a dremel). I would also convert to deans as mini tamiya connectors are crap. I'll link a battery that will work, but 20/40c is pretty low for these. Giant power over here do a 35/70c 5c charge model that is my preferred battery. If you are wanting 11.1v then you need to speak to someone else as I don't own any - It may also be worth talking to your local gamers as you may need 11.1v for your power levels. https://www.evike.com/products/47743/ Motor is not something I can't advise on. Nor gears, As you run different power levels, So what I know won't translate to what you need. For UK power levels 350 fps, I tend to find AUG's will run hot on standard spring configurations if you get the seals right. I think mine are running cut M110's but it's been a while since I had them open.1 point -
There is no massive difference between batteries in my opinion and they all lie about C ratings anyway. You can find similar batteries all over ebay/patrolbase/hobbyking etc.1 point

A blonde woman walks into an ice cream shop and asks for a chocolate shake. The employee says, “Sorry miss but we are all out of chocolate. We have vanilla and strawberry.” She says, “Oh, ok then I’ll have a scoop of chocolate.” “Sorry, but there is no chocolate. Only vanilla and strawberry.” She thinks about it and then says, “Ok, then I’ll have a chocolate cone.” Frustrated, the kid behind the counter tells her, “I’d like you to spell ‘van’, like in vanilla.” V-a-n. “Ok, now spell ‘straw’, like in strawberry” S-t-r-a-w. “Now, spell ‘fuck’, like in chocolate.” She thinks about it for a second and then says, “There’s no ‘fuck’ in chocolate.” “That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you! There’s no fuckin’ chocolate.”1 point

Absolutely right. To me, airsoft is about a bunch of (mostly) grown-ups playing dress-up and running around like toddlers on tartrazine, shooting each other and having a bloody good laugh at ourselves. I like seeing new players at site get bitten by the bug, learning off the experienced heads, showing off guns and gear, and generally being huge nerds. I don't see us as any different to model railway enthusiasts, stamp collectors or any other hobby that has a passionate, niche following. Boasting about hurting people, especially "noobs," generating drama where there is none or generally just being an obnoxious tit does nothing to take the hobby forward.1 point

Definitely, I tend to cross-reference a selection of vids from a broad spectrum of producers, as well as looking for old skool written reviews, which unfortunately are getting few & far between these days, & finally even the likes of amazon type reviews just to be sure. Even then you may end up with a bit of kit that works for someone else but doesn't suit you, but at least you can say you tried, instead of relying on the opinion of a paid tosspot or a 12yo "operator" 🤣 Ain't that the truth, I was infantry, trained hard like mofo, but did nothing of note outside of the UK & Germany, so you'll never hear me claiming to be a war hero, but first time I attended a paintball event as a civvy didn't stop me feeling slightly superior than my non serving work colleagues, I say that, there was one other guy there who was a former fusilqueer, & his bro in law also ex rgj, so between we thought we were gonna dominate that shit. Whistle went & the 3 of us were off like greyhounds intent on seizing the tactical high ground etc.............. Yes, it was a very painful life lesson in humility, which we laughed about later, once the dozens of donut shaped welts stopped stinging🤕1 point

I came to the conclusion he was a prize knob end after seeing a few videos. He's one of the few people who I have "blocked" on YouTube because he kept coming up in my feed and all his content is the same shyte showing him to be a twat of the highest order. As with several YouTubers he uses those hit marks even when it's blatantly obvious the bb landed miles away. I do like watching Dutch The Hooligan. He seems like a good egg; actively encouraging younger players and apologising when he thinks he overkilled.1 point -

sooo, anyone had any dealings from this guy? https://airsoft-forums.uk/profile/40820-de09/ he contacted me to say he had an item i'm after, I'm willing to give him the benifit of the doubt even though he's new but theres some red flags as far as i'm concerned. He sent me a picture of the item, then another on request but apart from the date note (which is in american format) the pictures are identical even though they were taken on different days (same placement on floor etc)..... the colour/lightness of the note also looks suspect so i suspect its a photoshop what do you guys think?
