    Sling Lenght...?

Nah, 1 point sling all the way! None of this wierd gun bondage faffery. And I can just drop my rifle, it swooshes down to my side like a proper gucci smooth operator. Apart from the time I forgot I had lent the sling to someone else and wasnt wearing one and just dropped it straight on the concrete ground and everyone just stared at me like I was some kind of mad man... BUT other than that it looks proper cool like.

  2. I almost guarantee there will be crushed BB in the barrel extension as Enid has said above . Try not to use RAtech parts , they are primary contributors to "GBB don't work well" trope as their upgrades really aren't aside from in very limited cases

  3. Ran one on my C8 last weekend, and genuinely there was a point where I was kneeling there trying to clip the damn thing back together thinking "why did I not just put the slingster on it.." Slingster ftw 👍🏼

  4. There's not even a fixed stock RPK with black polymer parts. Also bank transfer so fk you if anything happens. All new would cost £570-600 but I don't think £100 less is worth it for no warranty. https://justairsoft.co.uk/products/lct-rpk https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/lct-rpk-nv-airsoft-gun-aeg https://www.thecageairsoft.co.uk/perun-v3-hybrid-mosfet/ https://www.bztactical.co.uk/madbull-black-python-ii-6-03-650mm-inner-barrel https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/prometheus-purple-hop-rubber-with-nub https://www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/gg-titan-turbo-35k-high-torque-motor-39096-p.asp

  5. Sounds like the very same symptoms my ghk experienced when I bought is used off a lad. I discovered small smashed fragments of beebs, right at the front of the bolt/nozzle where it’s supposed to lock into battery It was just enough to mis align everything! Like these were MASHED in, didn’t look out of place there at all!! I dug the remnants out with a sewing needle and it’s never had an issue since 🤞

First release version, purchased 2019. Has been sat a while and I could do with some funds for another project hence the sale. Stock internals apart from 1j nozzle fitted as was too hot from new. Has been sat for about a year so wouldn't be surprised if hopup needs adjusting. Could probably do with a good clean and re-lube too. Cosmetic marks from skirmishing. Mags still fit tight, magwell could do with the filing treatment as causing mags to become scratched (pictured). Doesn't effect the functioning of the rifle however. Included: Gun 3x mags Original box 3D printed speedloader adapter PTS flip up sights Foregrip Original nozzle Stock adapter for AR style buffer tubes SOLD - No longer included. Would prefer pickup or I can hand deliver within a reasonable distance from YO7. PayPal, bank transfer or cash on collection. Would prefer not to post due to weight and value. Anymore questions drop me a message.

  8. @TheFull9 it's weird, I know that's the right way to use a sling, but I've got too used to doing it the wrong way. Maybe I need to wander around the house with a slung rifle until it feels normal. A few days might do the trick Separately... with a heartfelt 'pretty please', could @LzChase please fix the typo in the thread title, it triggers my OCD (or something similar) every time I see this thread show up on the activity page

  10. Unfortunately there aren't any M1.8s there. I'm not entirely sure that the screw was measured correctly at the fasteners I took it to, so I'm going to go to another one on Monday and see what they say. I've spoken to a mate who's told me that M1.8 isn't a standard measurement so I'm thinking something's gone wrong somewhere! Cheers though, Accu looks like a useful site to have for future reference!

  11. Thanks dude - Nothing obvious, sadly. The problems started with a loose buffer tube but now seem to have expanded. I'll see about taking it entirely to pieces tomorrow, trigger mech and everything and then working back from there. It's annoying because it was super reliable!

  15. Only use standard WE parts in all mine , in the early days Ratech parts were a bit better but I’d say WE’s QC has stepped up and generally above average and fit for purpose , plus readily available and cheap . Maintenance is key , dry gas and lube what you want to lube sparingly .

    Sling Lenght...?

Yep, this is exactly how I run my slings. I have a couple of Blue Force Gear VCAS and a Ferro Slingster. The Vickers slings are superb and ones I use most. The Slingster is good too, but I prefer the adjustment of the BFG as it seems more rugged. Three-point slings just seem outdated, and the issued SA80 slings are dogshit. Fucking around trying to clip them back up was an utter nause, especially in the rain.

  25. Completely strip the BCG , check for damage , relube / replace oring etc if need be. check the hop unit , again remove and service and probably replace the rubber . light lube to the inside of upper receiver for the BCG , strip mag valve out , relube etc try again

They get a lot of hate, but I like three-point slings for the flexibility.

    Sling Lenght...?

I think the point that everyone is missing here is that the sling techniques that apply to firearms don't really apply to airsoft. Putting tension on the sling is usually to help with stability and recoil control. Airsoft guns really don't have that problem. Set up the sling however is comfortable for YOU. If you want more tension on it, have more tension on it. If you want room to maneuvre the gun about have less tension on it. If you want both, get an adjustable sling.

    Tanaka WZ63 GBB

    This advert is COMPLETED!

Never thought I'd sell this but I have other things I need to sort out... Tanaka WZ63 GBB - Incredibly rare, especially in this condition. The only airsoft WZ63 that exists, full metal as it was made before the Firearms & Swords law revision. The mags are HPA tapped from factory, but you can change this with a different valve. From memory, Tanaka thread should be WA/WE spec, so you can change the fitting in the mag for an imperial fitment to your usual HPA lines and equipment. Comes with the original box and tool.

  31. Have a look for kyle lambs sling setup guide. It quite common on YouTube and covers another about getting the length/tension right.

  32. I rather too frequently leave the sniper rifle or DMR on the ground whilst i run into some short range conflict with the mk23/glock. And rather too frequently spend 5 minutes searching the woods to find where i had laid the damn things down!

  33. From the sounds of what you’re looking for, I’d say Earmors are the least of what you’d want. Depends how much you value your hearing but I don’t think I’d trust a £20-30 headset.

  35. I've written quite a bit about AUG's. However I'm out of the loop so to speak. You can visually see the difference in 2 of the budget bodies. JG uses a smooth body all over, same as the TM and CA. APS/AA and a few others have raised textured areas on the stock and pistol grip. Of those 2 bodies there's very little difference in feeling, but the JG is slightly nicer feeling IMO. Neither body is any worse or better than the other. TM/CA and externally identical to the JG in all standard variants bar the HC. The HC is closer externally to the ASG commando, but I've seen that with both APS and JG style bodies. All uppers A1 A2 are identical across all manufacturers. A3/A4 variants are usually an A2 upper with a RIS kit, And are imo the only aug variant you should avoid as the balance is all whack with them. Some AUG's have a 3 position safety allowing a semi only position. You can modify a 2 position safety to be 3 position if wanted. I've shown the modification in other posts on here if you search. The internals is really what separates AUGS. JG are the best budget internals. They come with a better motor and gearbox internals. APS can and do have issues with the piston head having an injection point on the sealing face of the piston head that can eat the o-rings over time. The gears aren't as good as the stock JG ones, and the motor is weaker on the ones I've played with. It is a solid gearbox however and even stock with the dodgy piston head it is reliable. CA do the only AUG with a stock mosfet. JG are better value and a Mosfet can be installed on an AUG without even opening the gearbox. So the mosfet is only a selling point if you can't install one yourself. TM do the best running gearboxes, but the gears are soft and they don't take FPS increasing upgrades without also wanting the gears upgrading. Overall I'd say unless you want a HC out of the box, you are universally better off with a JG. ASG do a few variants in both APS and JG body's. Typically the value/discovery line is 0.8 joules and has plastic gearbox bushings, but the rest of the gun is standard internally. The sport line is 1 joule and may have slightly different internals but nothing significant. The proline sometimes comes with a mosfet, and should have bearings and a QC spring system, but these are model and age dependant upgrades, the mosfet is a very recent addition I haven't had one of these in my hands yet. Of the 3 if you are capable of upgrading, the value/discovery line is the way forwards. Bearings (£10) and a spring (£5) and your already over the sport line. I would also be very surprised if a value line didn't come with a QC spring system provided it's from new/new stock. Externally you may get either a JG or APS but I wouldn't be overly worried about that for the £110 price point. It's a far more budget friendly option than the others that only have minor gearbox improvements. https://bbgunsuk.co.uk/asg-aug-a2-styre-electric-airsoft-gun-in-black/ All models in all manufacturers come with the same hop unit. There will be some variation on internal barrels but not enough to swing a buying decision as the ZCI S/S barrel will out perform all stock barrels. Same with motors and after market HT motor is going to be better than anything stock bar the TM HC variants. So keep the base gun cheap as possible. As for your other worries, Creaking is a feature on an AUG. They all do it. As too is BB's getting lost in the body on mag changes. All uppers have some movement. These are the price of wanting to run an AUG, and you have to want to run one and live with the body issues otherwise get a M4 variant. The Hop unit and barrel should be free floating on the spring as this is a vital feature on the AUG it locks the body, tensions the gearbox, and aligns everything internally. You can not shim an AUG barrel it'll cause you a massive headache.
