  1. As I suspected, BLINDSPOT is indeed a scammer. His phone number is based in Los Angeles, America. His story didn't add up and when he sent me a photo of the item.he was selling, it was from a Google search dated 2015. There is bad language in the screen grabs. Sorry. I forgot to add this image which shows where he lifted the image from.

  2. Did my first battlesim today, at Red Alert. Was good fun, even tho both my RIF's didn't get used. One of them was still 2 above the FPS limit, even after shortening the spring. The other one had the MOSFET burn out... Thankfully I met up with @Skullchewerand @GAMBLEand their squad (Thanks again for having me join and thanks for putting up with me!), and one of them had a spare RIF for me to use (absolute legend!). The gameplay itself was great, much slower pace than the usual airsoft skirms, but it did involve more squad communication (even tho the comms failed sometime around lunch, which left me and 3 others (out of 9) as the sole people with working comms) and more tactical manouvering which made me feel very tacticool! Looking forward to the battlesim light Red Alert is going to start running.

  3. Still not sold. Just seems you’re looking for short cuts. Anyone in our community that puts up content has earned their knowledge. Badabing, Ollie, negative, 4uad, airsoft Mike. Didn’t see them on here asking for help. You need to put in the time mate, Experience is earned.

  4. Not to be a debbie-downer, but is your priority producing content or amassing a collection of RIFs? You say you've got 23 or so RIFs, unless they were all donations I'd say that you have had the money to get a decent camera set up. Even just a mobile with a tripod is good enough. - that's all Negative Airsoft uses, just a phone suspended by a monkey grip thing above him while he works/berates RIFs. The best time to start anything is always 'last year or the year before'. But some get lucky in the algorithm, try and work out a niche in the airsoft YouTube world. There's enough licking shit-stains on the interwebs already. All the best, and do it for as long as you enjoy it.

  5. I don't want to rain on your parade too hard, but building a channel now needs something exceptional. Supply is saturated and there are some great airsoft creators out there who languished in the hundreds (or dozens) of subs and views-per-vid, before just fizzling out. Even "celebs" like Negative Airsoft get views in the couple of thousands, which means fewer than that watching all the way through. Is there any particular unique selling point that you're pitching? This is intended as a constructive question, because unless you're bringing top quality content from day one, you'll probably need some sort of gimmick to distinguish yourself.

  6. As above. A more expensive camera won't help much if the footage is out of focus and poorly lit. Also try scripting the videos as currently they're full of ums and errs which make you sound like you don't really know what you're talking about

  7. In order to get good analytical answers, I would first share what you already know, and what you're already planning to put in this video. I have to admit it does sound a little weird that you're putting yourself as an expert opinion in your video (or so it sounds), and turning around here to ask what everyone wished they knew. If we don't know you, we can't know what you're aware of, so we can't give you good answers. Since most people who show up to airsoft forums are complete noobs, the veteran members made a natural assumption. If you do end up needing to "give me information" threads, it's best to couch the question. For example, if I were asking this question, I would read the first few pages of posts in some of the categories, and then find some items to discuss. And then once you've started a discussion, you can ask things like "Is it true that G&G sux bahwluks?" and people will probably answer.

  8. As above, grip and maybe bolt release need to go. Tip for reassembly (and dissassembly) is it's better to install the pins first then grip then stock bolt, as the latter will pull the gearbox tight against the pins making it difficult or even impossible to push them in (certainly without damaging it). The reverse is true for dissassembly take the bolts out first then the pins should be relatively loose to pull. Like leo i tend to pull gearboxes out set to safe, but tbh whatever setting lets the gearbox come free/slide in is the one you want to use.

  9. No game on yesterday, so one of the lads brought out his targeting system for us to muck about with Good stuff! Shows you just how fast (read slow) your reaction times actually are Bit of actual practice, never harmed anyone ? Different game modes available, they light up different colours depending on the game mode, then either change colour or go off when hit. Great fun!! Oh, and I got my gbbr out for the first time since Oct! Effing awesome ?

  11. 0.89g at 147.64fps = 0.90J, which is nowhere near 480fps at 5m with any BB you are going to use in airsoft. 0.20g at 480fps = 2.13J. I would not trust anything printed in the instructions for Nuprol goggles. Anyway, you still have not demonstrated that this comment is accurate: 480 fps at 5 meters is what most mesh goggles are rated for.

  12. If you are going to try to increase your channel's reach, you really need to improve the quality of your videos. The videos that I have seen are not great quality and, in the case of your disassembly (or disassebly) videos, too dark and somewhat out of focus. You do not come across with any sense that you are an authority on what you are talking about.

I have my concerns and suspicions about this new guy. His meta-data says he joined yesterday evening. His bio says he joined a while ago but never posted. That disparity alone sets my spider senses tingling. Add to that he has messaged me, looking to sell an item I have been searching for for a while and wants do do it all through email. It all seems a little too convenient and distant to ms Has anybody else been messaged by him where he happens to have the exact thing you're looking for?

  16. Take that grip off, if ya haven't already. Look through the mag well and see if the bolt catch interacts with the gearbox shell. Turn the selector to safe and tilt the gearbox forward while wiggling gently. Good luck!

  17. Another excellent day at Tower Airsoft in Essex. Around 50 players were present, which meant there was lots of room to sneak around and infiltrate. The day started with a fallback game, which was then reversed. In the first leg, we were defending and, once hit, had to retire 30m, repeating this until we reached the church, whereupon the next hit sent us back to the safezone. A group of us set up a defensive position on our left along the old road and put up a determined defence as we were slowly pushed back. At one point, I ended up behind the enemy's front line and had a fun few minutes knocking them off before players returning from respawn did for me. We held out for the duration of the game, still being in possession of the church at the end. When the game was reversed, the same group of us ended up attacking the area we had previously defended. As attackers, we had to respawn on our marshal, who was somewhere behind us; I am not sure where as I didn't get hit. The area was fairly lightly defended and we pushed forward quite quickly, taking out the players in front of us and a fair number of those who were to our left in the centre of the field. We reached the vicinity of the church and moved towards it; just as we were about to assault it, game over was called as other members of our team had taken it from the front. These two games took up the morning. The Double Bell KAC PDW had its first run out for these two games and performed brilliantly, with excellent range and accuracy; its lightness and shortness made it very easy to use in fairly dense woodland and bushes. After lunch, we played a game of "escorting the stag to the bridge" (apparently, it was going to be "escorting the stag to the church" but that had been attacked in the morning, so the bridge became the destination). As a bit of background, there were two stag groups present; one lot were regular Tower/Airsoft Plantation players, while the others were first timers and were renting. The aim of the game was to escort your stag, looking a bit like Nursie dressed as a cow in Blackadder, from the bus yard to the bridge at the far end of the site. The stag had one life so the game ended when they were hit or when they arrived at the bridge. The defenders started off in the village, blocking the route to the bridge and they had to fall back 30m when hit. Leaving the bus yard, our team split into several groups; those of us with the stag took a route along the boundary of the site, hoping to bypass the defenders. Apart from a couple of skirmishes near the village, this worked well and the stag was safely escorted to the bridge; I had lost sight of him by this time as I was hanging back, making sure that no sneaky defenders were moving up behind the stag and his escorts. While the stag was getting out of his costume and the other team's stag was putting it on, we played a quick game of infection in the bus yard. I am not sure what the result of the reversed game was; all that I know that we had some great little firefights in and around the village and I never saw the stag, which was probably a good thing for what remains of my sanity. The next game was a scavenger hunt; a number of mortar bomb cases and yellow canisters were scattered across the entire site and the two teams had to collect them and bring them back to a central collection point on the main road; extra points were gained for also having your stag there at the end of the game. Buddy respawns were in use. This was a fun game with lots of small encounters taking place all over the site as patrolling groups bumped into each other. After searching the bus yard, the village and the bridge area, the group that I was with formed a perimeter near the collection point, covering our colleagues who were returning with more items and making it more difficult for the enemy to get their items back. That sort of ended the day, although there was another game of infection in the bus yard for those of us who wanted to play a bit longer. As usual, the day was well organised and well run, with really good hit taking and lots of calls of "Good shot" and "Well taken", along with at least one "You sneaky bastard". Weapons used: Double Bell KAC PDW Ares VZ58 Umarex/S&T ARX 160

  25. The problem is that you are not going to get many followers with the current quality. It is not just about the clarity of the footage; the presentation style needs to improve significantly. Have a look at the Pheas Airsoft videos; he may not get everything right but even early his videos are well presented and interesting.

  26. Slow start for me today. Took the spring VSR and the Tanaka m700 and I can say that the Tanaka m700 hates low power. I put the small gas router in it and was getting 0.04J (the Bbs were pretty much rolling out of the barrel) and the middle one was only between 0.3 and 0.4J, but the normal sized one was 1.5J which was too much, since Worthing Airsoft is getting to be woodland CQB again so a 30m MED is way too much of a liability right now. Furthermore, the spring VSR was chronoing at 1.17J without a suppressor on and I didn't bring one, so I had to drop the BB weight a little to get it under 1.14J. With a suppressor it chronos reliably at 1.11J, losing 0.06J as it goes through the suppressor, but all of this took a while this morning and I missed the first two games. Onto the day itself then, but it was pretty good. The weather was amazing, though it was a bit breezy, so shots were swinging wide for everyone. Running the spring VSR at 1.1J with no MED was a bit of a laugh, but there were definitely still moments where I was like "ah, I wish I had 2.3J right now...". I might experiment playing with that 30m MED and a reliable pistol or SMG secondary (I'll need it) in future at the site, but next game day I need to make sure the KJW m700 is still set up for 1.1J, since I have some 'Namsoft the week after the next game day in June and I'm pretty sure Gunman has a sniper ban at Eversley at the moment because the ferns are grown up, so everything has to be 1.14J or under. Also ran the belt kit today for my Vietnam stuff and it's so good. Who needs modern tacticool molle setups anyway?

    Best budget EOTECH clone

The HWO T-1s and 2s I've got are pretty spot on overall, look right, clear lenses, overall decent build standard and cheaper than their good EoTechs. I've got one on a TM EBB and it's not shaken any connections loose so far on that specific example at least (which is a problem I saw a long time ago on the cheaper T series china clones). I've tried a few different EoTech clones over the years and for whatever reason the chinese factories just don't seem to be able to pump them out to a good standard in the same way they can with Aimpoint micro copies. The format is just harder to replicate it seems, I suppose it's just a bigger object overall with more going on vs a T-1. More wires, longer connections, bigger windows etc, so to make one that's not blue tinted or with a terrible reticule or electronic functional problems costs more money. I love the look and the big window for up close so personally if I do put one on a gun I'll just bite the bullet on the more expensive copy (maybe a used real one some day), but most of my shooters have ACOGs when I want magnification or T series red dots.

    Tips for Dmrs

You have two areas of improvement, one of which is vastly more important than the other. First, improve your target recognition, shot tracking, positioning, etc. Shot tracking will get better as you get to know how the replica shoots--without sun to see the BB you have to rely on knowing where it's supposed to be, the sound it makes when it hits the environment or players, and even look for physical disturbances, like rustled leaves or shirts. You should also be very familiar with your effective range to make sure your shots aren't simply falling short of target. If you wanted to be analytical about it, you could easily use google maps to create an overlay of your field and notate some distances to let you know what your range is from certain positions. Positioning is huge for DMR players, but that's pretty self-explanatory. You should know what your optimum positions are on the fields that you play at, where fire will come from, what points you can move up to and back from, etc, how to manipulate angles on different pieces of cover. The second much less important area of improvement is your replica itself. Doing stabilization mods, using higher quality, heavier ammunition, changing your hop rubber and nub, or even polishing your barrel are easy ways to improve effective range. Improve yourself before your replica!

  30. Quality day at Special Ops again, lovely weather, 60-70 in attendance but everything went smoothly so no delays. I decided to haul in the Tippmann M4 HPA, the VFC HK416 GBBR, and of course ol' faithful, the DE M906C Well I couldn't get the hop working nicely on the Tippmann with 0.28s at the range, which was a surprise. I might have mangled another hop rubber somehow, I'll need to do some forensics... So anyway that was sidelined. The 416 and the 906 went off to play. For the first time ever since I've owned it, I didn't use the 906. I just enjoyed the GBBR experience too much to go back to the AEG! Again I could probably have racked up a few more kills with the AEG, but damn it the recoil just sells itself as an experience. My two new mags didn't leak, so with 4 of them and a speed loader, and an acceptance that I'd be somewhat more like a sniper than a rusher (though I still did that), I had a great time picking off people at a decent range, and entertaining the people around me ("that gun sounds awesome" was heard more than once). And I got a decent medium range pistol kill too. My only small problem was the 416 tended to lose the hop setting, it drifted to 'none' at one point, though of course easily fixed due to the clever way VFC used the gas block adjuster as the hop adjuster. Could do with some advice on how to prevent that from unwinding! Carlos and everyone else made the day a pleasure, though it was possibly more so for my team as we won every single round, even though the other team looked stronger at the outset. Excellent burgers for lunch, and the freely available bottles of water were very welcome in the warm temps Roll on the next one on the 29th... Edit: a special mention for the Cyma MP5K I tried, that gun is a simply fantastic little thing, if I do buy more AEGs that one is going to be at the top of the list. High RoF, and very accurate ?

    RPK handguard swap.

If your just swapping the original LCT handguard for the LCT AIMS one, then you should not really need any special tools apart from something to flip up the latch for the front handguard retainer. Most LCT AK part are quite interchangeable since they are airsoft spec not real steel spec.

  45. Yup, bloody good day! For the record @Smiling-Dutchmanis a good player! Takes his hits and plays intelligently, but with a good sense of fun. The last game was stick in the mud. They often do silly little short games like that at the end of the day, that's a good one. The one time we tried it on full auto... ouch. Thanks again for shooting me in the nipple ring ? Had a personal best yesterday. In one game mode I set up in a good sniping spot with my DMR, got 6 definite kills and a few "Did I get that guy or did someome else?", with 0 deaths throughout the game, while holding an objective point. I'm sure others here have done better, but I've not managed a K/D ratio that clean before.

  48. Ran our first game at the Trenches we've been building for the last year the other weekend! The theme was Gallipoli - our fictionalised battle of 'Hellespont', so I was running shorts and Pith Helmet with my WW1 kit... (Yes I regretted the shorts) One of the best moment was being held hostage by an enemy officer... I'd been ordered to guard him, as we had taken him prisoner in a raid. However, during an attack I was too busy killing two of the attackers to see him draw his pistol, no one had disarmed him! He almost made it out of our trenches before anyone noticed, but someone managed to shoot him in the shoulder past me, giving me the chance to grab his pistol! I then proceded to kill a further two attackers with it! (Photo credits to Crafty Sniper Photography) (The full kit, had the tunic on in morning as it was quite chilly)
