Tell Us a Gag. Please!

A man finishes work on Friday then goes to the pub with his mates and doesn't come home till Sunday evening. Naturally his wife isn't happy and asks how he would like it if he didn't see her for 3 days. "Fine by me" he replies Monday he didn't see her, Tuesday he didn't see her then Wednesday evening the swelling round his eyes went down2 points -

AEG shoots at 0.5J on 11.1v battery, but 1.1j on 7.4v. Why?

Negative Airsoft has had to deal with a stack of KWA's with low power on 11.1v LiPos. There's a video on his Patreon with the 'fix' for the problem. You will need to add a bushing onto the Tappet spring guide to increase the spring tension, and you might also have to cut the tappet fin down (DSG style) so it will release earlier in the firing cycle to get nozzle moving forward earlier. If you cut the fin down - remove the delayer chip as well. I intend to do the same mods on my my KWA once I notice any kind of power drop. I take no credit for the info above - if this helps you fix your gun - please consider signing up to Negative Airsoft's Patreon for a fiver a month, even just for one month. There's loads of information in his longer-form videos that you won't see in his standard youtube releases.2 points -

Pure guess: Tappet timing. The nozzle is not returning forward fast enough for the next cycle of the gears causing a huge airleak around the hop unit. Lower voltage battery means that the gears are rotating slower to complete the firing cycle giving the nozzle time to seat itself in the hop unit before the piston (thus air) is released. It's become a common issue on KWA guns but in theory could apply to other manufacturers. You can test by turning the gun upside down and placing a small square of tissue over the hop unit feed inlet. if the tissue is blown upwards when firing on an 11.1, yet not (or to a much lesser extent) on a 7.4, there's a good chance that could be your issue. If that's the case, make sure that the you remove any sector gear delay chips, replace your tappet spring and make sure your tappet is lubed on the rails, moving freely and in good condition. I'm sure others will chip in with alternate possibilities.2 points -

Hi All, So I bought the new Gate Eon Full Gearbox (Got it for a decent price so cant complain about that but I'll still complain.) Sooooooooo, I read a post that listed (from a gate employee) comaptibility with AEG's out there one of which was Krytac, so being a trusting sort of a guy I thought I'd take the plunge and get it ordered. So box arrives, opens it and to be fair it's nice, and went to install into the LVOA. Fire selector will not fit, Krytac have holes cut into the gearbox shell for the gears to fit, the EON does not. The EON selector plate fits flush to the gear box body so even if I modified the gear (Filing the bottom of the gear so it can sit flush with the gearbox recess) the actual gear would not fit under the selector plate. So that's a no-no. Also in the instructions for the gearbox it states that "The spring guide must be screwed to the replica's receiver. Shooting when the spring guide is not properly screwed on or not screwed at all, may cause damage to the gearbox, which is not covered by the warranty." You cant do this with the Krytac, even if I was to get a longer screw to go through the buffer tube, the thread on the spring guide is smaller (Option is to retap and thread? would that void warranty? I'm waiting from a response from gate) . So as you can probably guess, much dissapoint. So, I'll install it in my secondary (Old VFC HK416D) fire selector fits! (YEY!) mag release does not (Boooo!) it's one of those that you have to push in and screw mag release button onto the actual arm (It's doesnt use an actual screw if you get me), the gear box gets in the way so you cant push the mag release arm in far enough. Anyways I'm describing it poorly Next issue...the buffer tube screw, again thread to thick to secure the spring guide but got everything thing assembled and setup and it fires really nice...I've got a stand alone Titan 2 bluetooth (one of the new ones) that I installed in another build and thought I'd done a pretty good job with my shimming etc but the gate factory build is just a lot crisper (using same motor and battery) so yeah, the gearbox is nice but not without fitting issues on 2 guns, which I thought where compatible. I maybe able to change the fireselector on the Krytac but it was'nt money that I'd factored in and feel a pissed off to be fair but meh what can you do. I'll update the thread when I get a reply from Gate. Oh and the Hopup, well built, looks nice, does not work in the VFC not matter what I tried, about 60fps lower than stock , double feeding, just a shit show,. I've tried measuring the distances with calipers to get it as near as I can, used cut down springs instead of the supplied orings for spacing, I've used thicker and thinner o rings for spacing and still cant get the thing to work in the gun (I'm not a top tier tech but I've exhausted the time I'm willing to put in to get it to work) The thinking of GATE hop and Gate gearbox match made in heaven I have disproven, well for my VFC your mileage may vary. So, I justed needed to vent. The gearbox is nice mine came with the Expert firmware installed which is capped to 25bps (you can bypass this but it negates your 2 year warranty which is part of the reason I got the gearbox). It's snappy and consistant (warhead highspeed motor) but not without it's niggles which I can hopefully get some answers from Gate. Cheers if you took the time to read1 point

I think it was deliberate - he was correcting his own memory from ppk to USP. So it could have been just further evidence of his inaccurate recollection? Or They were all anti 2A types who loathe guns and think they're all the same...1 point -
One of my first pistols was the socom gear M9A1. The slide fit like a dick in a shirt sleeve and gas efficiency was almost as bad as a 1911 in the winter. I don't think it ever locked back on an empty mag, although the day I put Guarder Power Up gas in it and got 400fps on the chrono was hilarious!1 point

Load-Out / Loadout Picture topic
Jaylordofwaargh reacted to TheFull9 for a topic
It's certainly an option, I'd never tell anyone to not carry some water, does all depend on site size/game length as you say. I used to have bladders on my back more because that was haute couture in the late 00s, but what I do these days is drink loads between games and I'm fine at sunday skirmishes; the drinking matters more than the carrying. However I'm a bit of a water addict (I know, shocking) and always get through 2-4L on any normal day in work anyway so my routine is solid (no brews, nothing fizzy). For some folks they might get chatty between games and forget, whereas nobody likes me so that's not an issue. Put it this way, there's plenty of folks at almost every game with maybe a pistol and a hi-cap on a belt, their gun in hand and that's literally it. Sometimes not even that. At most games in the UK that's more than enough to actually participate. Now I love a bit of cordura as do most so some kit is fun, but do try and keep it slick. I mean there's equally some out there who love nothing more than lumbering around like the proverbial juggernaut, 1 bb still takes you out but they look pretty cool sometimes and that's their thing and I enjoy seeing what they put together. Unless you personally really wanna be that guy though, keep it light and simple, learn to appreciate that minimal aesthetic.1 point -
My first loadout! Only skirmished twice in my own kit so far, but I don't have any complaints (touch wood) Tried to build it without breaking the bank. Most of it is bargain basement stuff. Only things I really splashed on a bit was the goggles (Valken Thermal Goggles) which are honestly immense and don't fog up at all, even on Saturday when it was a warm day. Carrier is 8fields I think, lid is an amazon special, pants are Viper (I did originally have some amazon specials too but they were shite and broke on first use). Any suggestions on things I could add? My plate carrier seems to look a little bare so I'll probably look to add a few little extra bits there, and I defo need a battle belt of some sort down the line as the thing I'm using right now is just a plain old clothes belt. Still I'm pretty happy with it for my first loadout I can't lie!1 point

Another vote for the Maple Leaf/Omega Nub combination, although I prefer the slightly softer nub from AK2M4. 0.35g - 0.40g at 440 fps?1 point -
Strike Industries TM MWS completed(?) Might experiment with a small red dot or something, but I can't see it changing much more than that. Started in March last year! Time flies. Love how it turned out. To match, also built a Strike Industries TM G17 (decided to not go with the EMG/G&P prebuilt one in the end). Waiting on a nicer red dot to arrive, but God knows when that will be. Make quite a nice pair!1 point
