  3. 1st which brand of scar do you have there might be compatability issues. Next what do want the gun to actually do? Next don't do everything at once you need to know what mod actually works. I would start with just the hop rubber and nub. See what that does maybe Next get the barrel. Would then get the mosfet (maybe at same time). see if that combination gives you the results you want before spending more money. Also if you don't have one get a chrono. No point moding a gun only to be told you can't use it on the game day if it fails a chrono spot check.

  6. Hmmm, I think I did see a video about this on YT quite recently, but I'd also have to say it feels a bit moot. BB's don't travel in quite the same trajectory as real bullets, because of the hop. They tend to fly 'flat-flat-flat-up-(and then straight down)' or 'flat-flat-flat-down'. So really the calculation only makes sense if you have no hop applied, and are using a pure ballistic trajectory. At 'proper' range (ie. at 30, 40, 50m out) the hop applied makes all the difference to how the BB behaves and the point of impact, and you'll be tuning that in the field. I sight my guns in my garden at 15m, and it's all about the windage rather than elevation - making sure the barrel and sights are in line! All the real work with tuning hop and sights can only be done once I can shoot out to 40m Edit: found a blog page and the video... https://reconbrothers.com/training/zeroing-your-optic

Almost brand new G&G M14EBR 22" version in the very rare Silver color You can find either silver 18" or black 22" somewhere now but not this combination The condition is excellent. Have been only keeping it as collection so it has never been taken into a single game. Has an integrated ETU and shoots at about 380FPS on .2 bbs. Uses mini Tamiya type battery. Comes with a 470rds high cap. The bolt catch IS FUNTIONAL and the release is very strong and satisfying, not what is normally expected on an AEG This originally costs about £600 to get it imported and asking for only £380 posted in original box

    £380

  9. I have done, bear in mind that you'll be paying their shipping rates on top of the sellers domestic rates, plus import duty etc. Sometimes it's cheaper but I usually only do it if there's something I want and the seller won't ship to the UK (nothing ITAR restricted though, you still won't get that out).

  10. Edit - Got 4 coming next week 😬 Just deciding what route to go looks wise, either a B&T Tri-Rail on the suppressor with some gizmos or somthing a bit more modern / unique.

  13. Hehe, know the feeling. It's the same for me, but regarding my TM Glock. All because I can't find a holster that fits a 6 seconds mount. But anyway, the AAP turns from okay to good with just a hop rubber swap, when you consider the cost of the pistol (sub €100) and rubber (say €15 including a spacer like a ML I-Key) it's a pretty good deal! Treat it carefully and it'll last a while. Then if you want maximum performance/reliability/cosmetics you will naturally spend a small fortune on it, but it's the same with Capas, Glocks and pretty much all Airsoft guns bar MTWs and Mk23s, but those are the exception because cost/design/technology. My pistol costs a lot, but I could have done without a fancy mamba upper, a CowCow hammer set, a TTI trigger, magwell and a dot, my carbine could have done without the expensive TTI carbine kit, charging handle+external selector, you get the idea. It does feel toyish, I'll give you that, but if you want "realism" then the AAP isn't for you

  14. So for those of us that list “Airsoft” items on eBay regularly you may be confused why some listings are removed yet other listings for identical or similar items are allowed to remain. tonight I finally managed to speak with one of their policy team managers, who gave me 40 minutes of his time and actually answered every question asked, without evasion (my previous experience of appealing a removed item, has just been met with evasive answers, and I promise someone from the policy or escalations team will call you back to explain- never happens! ) Some of the answers made a lot of sense , and I thought I’d share the information given. so here goes, and happy to answer any questions or clarify anything I’ve not explained well. Firstly Ebay worldwide are bound by California law, and are only licensed to sell certain items on their platform - it seems odd, but that licence affects their platform worldwide. California law prevents the sale by e-commerce of any articles that can be attached to automatic rifles, or that replicate attachments for automatic rifles (where they chance or enhance their operation). So things like, Stocks, vertical foregrips, hand stops, suppressors. Etc are all regulated. They have an Airsoft policy preventing the sale of Airsoft guns, receivers, and this includes BB guns and pellets guns. The6 do allow ammunition but interestingly only up to 0.25 calibre is the term they used. The adviser was unsure what that meant but he assumed it was BB WEIGHT., it’s more likely to be air-pellet calibre (I would guess) The next thing of interest is how they deal with an unauthorised item. They often flag breaches of the firearms policy as breaches of the airsoft policy if Airsoft is specifically mentioned in the advert. They do that actually to help us UK (specifically UK) airsofters out. Because….3 firearms policy strikes and your account is suspended/removed from the platform if you’re in the US. So the penalties for breaching Airsoft policy are much less serious - they amount to a “education warning” Your account is then flagged and monitored for attempts to relist the item. They removed over 1750 Airsoft suppressor listings (as an example, that’s what I had removed) in the last 28 days. They had no reason to believe any of them were real, they simply are just not allowed by California E commerce laws. Which they claim they are working to change with a category amendment to the trading licence through the courts - however Airsoft is flagged as a tiny niche market for them and it’s not a priority. Finally how are your dodgy items detected, - some but actually very few are by keyword, and image algorithms that have them flagged and checked manually. mostly they are checked by batch sampling on item numbers (an invigilator or verifier will be sent 500 items to check every few days) and they are flagged if it’s not right, then removed. He provided a lot more information about the processes and the legal reasons behind the issue, and why they can’t easily change rules from country to country - but the post is already to long and quite boring for most. this will be useful to ebayers who don’t understand why their items are removed when they don’t appear to breach the stated policy.

  15. Cali is a sinking ship. Let it die, folks. I’m just hoping they don’t bring too much of their crazy here as a result. (Texas, USA native here) It’s literally a max exodus right now. Interestingly I’ve never had any issue buying airsoft items off eBay, including replicas, fake suppressors, rails, etc, even parts that will fit real rifles.

    Spring calculation

My local cqb site has a limit of 330 fps with .20 so 1j or 295fps with .25 so I need to come down a bit but will be short stroking 4 teeth as this is solely a semi auto build which is why I wanted to know roughly what spring I'm at so I can take the roughly 60 fps I lose from the short stroking and add that with a spring upgrade to bring me between 320 and 330 on .20

  17. What I meant is that as long as you don’t spam on semi you don’t really need a mosfet. But yes, agreed generally the mosfet helps hands down with many things but it’s really not necessary. I have 3 titans in 3 of my recoils and the other 3 are without mosfet. The 50 shades below does not have a Titan and if I’m being honest I prefer the feel of the original so called mechanical trigger. Although, I do appreciate the hairline trigger on the mosfet when my fingers have frostbite lol

  19. Being an owner of a number of TM recoils, a MWS and a Systema, if I’m being honest my recoils are my to-go rifs. I even bought a 50 shades of tan 416 to do the so called SEAL team loadout but I’ve come to realise a black rif is more preferable to my loadout style. Having said that the tan 416 with tan PMAGS actually looks the dogs danglies.

    Marui mp7 worth it?

I've got the Umarex MP7, used it extensivly even in woodland games and can't fault it tbh. Shoots well on .30's has great range and acuracy and has never missed a beat. The only issue I'm aware of relates to the mag catch, a mate got one the same time as me and it would drop a mag randomly. We put a new catch in it and it's been spot on ever since. TBF patrolbase offered to replace it but was an easy job so not worth returning it.

  21. I'd say "God damn California", but I'm convinced that She already has. Can't buy a toy silencer on eBay UK, but you can walk into a shop in California, steal $950 worth of them, and walk out with no consequences.

  22. OK cheers, gonna stick with the stock blowback unit and nozzle for now. I have ordered the Waldo customs snappy boi thingy though. I've had this new one since Friday and so far have installed a CTM trigger and lower (in Ranger Green). I can see myself getting a new upper and the hop unit at some point...jeez, this is going to be an expensive one isn't it...
