Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Pigeon_Haris and 2 others reacted to Madhouse for a topic
Apologies for using incorrect terms, I'm new at this. I'm also a sceptical git and there's enough scammers out there for something like this to be a flag for me. Thanks for the additional info, I'm sure it'll be useful for whoever buys it from you to know a bit more about it's history. Let me know how you get on with MI6, I'm still waiting for them to get back to me as to why there was no toy in my Frosties on the 27th of October, 1987.3 points -
I've only been to Anzio twice but won't be going back for a while. Jamie who runs the place, acts like a power mad war lord. To paraphrase him "It's upto you to make sure your gun is site legal before you turn up, chrono at the start of the day isn't mandatory but we'll do random checks throughout the day and if caught running hot, your out of here" So in theory I could rock up with my MTW, turn the reg right up, cause some damage to some poor soul and unless I get grassed up or random checked, not get caught. The first time I went, I got asked for 1 random chrono but wasn't asked what weight I was using, just fired into it and the lad just wondered off. My 2nd visit I didn't chrono at all. Set my reg the night before and took my chrono with me. Tested it in the game area before the brief. The mission briefing is the worst. He briefs the first and second game objective together after the quite lengthy safety brief and then picks on a random person to see if they were paying attention. You can see him get a chub on if someone gets it wrong!! Its quite a big site with lots of similar looking buildings so knowing that I've got to get a bomb from "D3 to the pub" on my first time there isn't really going to sink in. Plus then you've got to remember the mission after as well. I did ask a marshall what was happening now and they clearly didn't know, just said erm well everyone's going that way so I'd suggest following them!! Ah rant over. Anyway, I'm a KM fan boy so feel free to disregard everything I've just said. As a group we've agreed to go back one more time and just play one long day of room clearing. I'll ditch my KMCS suit and equip my Dye mask! Ensuring the dirty looks stay consistent from my previous visits 😂😂2 points

Yep, Update i posted on his item that he was a scammer and contacted the site to let them know, he seemed to get a bit upset that I’d sussed him out and he couldn’t do his big “reveal” he obviously gets off on it. He said I wasn’t getting the RIF and I could cry to my mummy about the £35.. I have reported him on fraud website with his phone number and bank account details hopefully that will do some good but I won’t hold my breath. My takeaway from this is don’t do bank transfer, ask for a photo of the item with something as proof, and google a name before paying. Luckily it was only a small amount and I walk away slightly poorer but wiser (and hoping that some day I cross paths with the little toe rag)2 points

Pretty solid, I expected it to flex a lot but surprisingly it doesn't. TTI triggers and selectors are solid as well, the finish is nice although the red ones have a slightly different shade than AA's red accessories. The selector was supposed to be stiff, it is definitely positive but not hard at all to operate. If you buy the TTI selector it comes with a short stroke buffer and stiffer nozzle spring, so you only "need" the main recoil recoil one.1 point

Don't feel too bad, there are some very plausible scammers out there who will put in a fair amount of effort to build up trust. My rule now is no chat, just ask sellers to email me a PayPal invoice listing the item, postage and expected delivery date, and the total that they want me to pay via goods-and-services. If they can't or won't do that, walk away. Don't get caught up in any "Yeah, mate, actually..." tall tales or back-and-forth on postage and fees with lazy twunts. https://www.paypal.com/invoice/create1 point

First DMR attempt
Gray_Ghost_666 reacted to Rogerborg for a topic
You buy a chrono which shows Joules, you set it to 0.36g, and you look at the Joules figure. My DMR is shooting at ~1.8J on 0.32g (site limit is 1.88J). I couldn't tell you what that is in fps, because there's no reason for me to know.1 point -
In Hungary, my country of origin, they have 400 fps on normal stuff 500 fps DMR, 20m MED, single shot 600 fps boltie, 20m MED The engagements aren't any different than here, just everything happen about 5 meters farther. The game culture is very different. Sites are much bigger, it's always working in squads with objectives, almost always there's a side commander coordinating the squads, there are dedicated medics and most importantly at least 6 hours game days with no breaks.1 point

Admittedly I did get a brand new one of these in Italian Vegetato recently for £25 off Amazon. Problem is, it's a really crap vest. The pouches are barely big enough for M4 mags. Very awkward to use.1 point

if you google 'the heresy group Anzio shit show', grab some pop corn, sit back and get educated on how first and only truly are doing the uk airsoft game scene no good at all.1 point -
Is it an indoor or outdoor gun? Because if it's an indoor gun the stock rubber will do, if it's for woodland games then you may want to get some nice range, in that case I'd recommed any of the ML rubbers (found decepticons to work particularly well), in 60° hardness. Don't forget a ML I-Key or a Hadron H-Plate to get the best results.1 point

I think the sales guy is on a better margin with KWA to be honest: Which basically translates to proprietary parts. Regardless, it has a quick change spring which is going to be a help once you start getting close to your target FPS! (which is what by the way?)1 point

Gg Gec36 Upgrades?

for range you want good quality heavy ammo (as heavy as you can afford depending on the round count, for me the ~.3g range is a nice balance of cost/performance for outdoors), a hop than can lift said ammo (i'm a fan of maple leaf macaron+omega nub combo, or pdi W-hop for guns that don't like the ml feedlips), as good an air seal as you can get and energy output at least decently close to the site limit (which might be lower than ideal for outdoors if your cqb site has a lower limit) for air seal have a look here for how to check it: that's if you're happy enough opening up the box. alternately the shot-shot fps variation on a chrono can be a good indication (you want every round at the same fps) you also want to be cleaning the barrel on the regular if you aren't already (minimum before every game day, if not also during) if you've got all that sorted and still want more then you might want to look at barrels, the ZCI stainless 6.02's are very good performance for the money, just pick whatever length is closest to the stock barrel.1 point -

Border Force Seizure
GothicGhost reacted to Cr0-Magnon for a topic
This is actually the second time it's happened. I also got three police officers turning up at my office. The conversation went like this: Police: Why have you tried to import a RIF? Me: Because I'm a UKARA registered airsofter. Police: Oh cool, some of the guys from the station are airsofters. You're obviously not dodgy. Have a good day.1 point -

Gunfire promised me a refund nearly 2 weeks ago. After querying it on Monday they said they are trying to get the money or products back from UPS. I just submitted a claim for a refund via Paypal. The dispute between Gunfire and and UPS is nothing to do with me.1 point -
