Bad Publicity?

I don't understand why people are even bothering to discuss KM. He makes normal gameplay videos - few thousand views over the course of several weeks. Makes sod all money. He makes clickbait and overly confrontational videos showing he purposely goes for headshots - appeals to the non airsofter "lads" and COD teens crowd, plus gets regular airsofters discussing him non-stop. Millions of views a week & some serious cashola. Whether what he is doing for airsoft is good or bad is a moot point. I'm sure he knows why people have issues with him but doesn't care because either way, video views pay the bills. If airsoft sites don't like what he's doing, they should just make it clear he's not welcome to play there. If enough do it, he'll run out of gameplay content.2 points -
The Cage
Shamal reacted to padraigthesniper for a topic
Last week i sent my SA E11 off to the cage to have a Perun Mosfet fitted and barrel refitted. The gun came back today and they have done a crazy good job, the wiring is better in the stock, the gun shoots how i wanted it to. They listened to what i had to say and gave me good updates. The gun shoots and feels like a dream now. Trigger response is almost as good as it gets and the active breaking fixed my big gripe that the semi didnt always do full cycles. I had them re install a new barrel and hop becuase i messed it up trying to do it myself. I nicked the bucking on the install i did they advised me to get a harder bucking of the same model and after testing it i can see why. They also fixed my fps issue, last month i installed springs and got lower fps than expected just chronoed the gun and its shooting the correct fps. Would Highly reccomend them for anyone who needs mosfets or any tech work done. Gun shoots just how i want it now. Its gonna be tough waiting for the lockdown to end and let me skirmish it i cant wait. Brilliant service would highly reccomend 👍 Padraig1 point -
So my first rif (2nd hand) arrived this morning. It’s a Cybergun ak47u. As it was a few years old and the previous owner hadn’t opened it for a few years I thought I’d give it a bash, well that was a learning curve! (The trigger spring and reverse latch! What little bastards!) It was definitely worth stripping down, compression was non-existent, cylinder head was ok but piston seal was so loose it had no chance of sealing. Replaced and all good. it had obviously had work in the past, it was shimmed well and needed no adjustment there, but the bushes need to be replaced. Also all the wiring has been soldered at the motor and trigger which made working on it slightly more of a pain (will replace all cables and install mosfet soon). The spring could also do with being replaced and bearing guide fitted. Exiting spring has a pretty poor cut job on it. Cleaned lubed and rebuilt. Had a bit of a faff with the trigger but got there eventually. Had an issue then with not being able to select semi, cause found to be bad position of wire when I rebuilt it, adjusted and now all good. Now waiting on payday to get some replacement parts ordered and then just the wait to get to use it!1 point

generally i'm using gate mosfets, so there's an entirely seperate connector for the trigger going to the mosfet. that mag looks ok, personally i quite like the orange (granted the airsoft version of orange does tend to be a bit on the light side). what i really wish is for decent plum.....1 point -

yeah, tricky one. i tried ordering something similar (claimed to be cyma and all) but it was a solid half inch too short to fit an e&l motor/cage.1 point -

Most people don't see the problem but it's a 7.62 mag in a 5.45 calibre gun. As far as airsoft goes it functions just fine but some of us...well...we need to get out more quite frankly.1 point

Haha I have to admit I am not a big ak fan myself. But for my first rif I wanted something that had a good rep indoor and out, I shall be replacing the handguard for a tactical, either top and bottom or just bottom for now. adding a few bits to this then going to pick up a hi Capa I think. Yea of course no worries.1 point

Union's ain't it. More prominent in the US, but I've talked to camera guys who I've worked with who supply their own kit, but had to get a spark to literally plug it into the wall and turn it on.1 point

Magpul stuff is just designed to work.... it does what it says on the tin... unless its a Chinese fake! Rifle ergonomics is important and it certainly helps with the game.. I've put on the Magpul MOE K grip on my rifle and it feels so superior to the Marui grip from a build quality... however, the Marui grip has a finger rest which I prefer and kinda makes it more comfortable than the Magpul grip coz my delicate fingers are rubbing against the Marui metal trigger guard! So to fix that wee issue the tigger guard is being replaced by a Magpul trigger guard which looks better and certainly has better ergonomics so which will make my rifle look better which in turn will make me play better (who am I kidding lol) and that's good for everyone1 point

@SSPKali when I last spoke to him he said he put the question to an airsoft group on FB but no one seemed that interested in such a system, all very negative! I did say FB probably not the greatest place to ask the question. GDPR questions never arose, far more interested in working out the technology side of things. The one-time URL that would expire is a nice touch and of course the ability to view your own information. Sadly I don't think he's continuing with the idea due to the negativity he experienced, I did recommend he just build a rough working concept and get a single site to trial it. Maybe it's worth me reaching out to him, be interested to know what others think; constructive ideas etc.1 point

I for one am SUPER DUPER BORED at the moment and this is the most interesting UK Airsoft thing to talk about. The guy stalking him is almost as entertaining as the drama itself. Even if its all actually shit Also, since i hate cheaters ( and speedsofters ) with a fiery passion. Hearing this cheat is getting banned from more and more sites. It is bringing a little joy to the repetitive life, we are currently in. Maybe once he is banned from every site in the UK. His videos will dry up and we wont have to every hear about him again. Or he moves abroad and then hes no longer our problem1 point

Need Help! Can't Figure Out How to Contact Advertisers?
Jedi_Master reacted to Sitting Duck for a topic
The person(s) to ask would be @Jedi_Master or @proffrink if you can't contact seller directly, then perhaps see if you could leave a message or ask a question in the advert itself & then seller might be able to reply/pm you The reason why restrictions are placed on newly created accounts is coz otherwise AF-UK gets a load of shit spam offering fake ID's, exam certificates Viagra etc... etc... etc... So I'm guessing the restriction on contacting members regarding ads is to avoid potential spammers & scammers bombarding sellers etc... yes it is a pain perhaps, but I've seem other forums for other subjects/interests impose a couple of hundred posts before you can even see classified ads section we still get the odd spammer/scammer sign up but thanks to some restrictions, the clean up & moderating is lessened (but must still be a pita for mods to deal with at all sorts of weird hours) make some posts, introduce yourself, talk about crap not just to bump your post count up, but also to demonstrate your genuine interest in peew peew to show to mods/members you are not just joining to buy toy guns from people get posting, but not spamming/shit posting (that's my job btw) contact/ask people but don't pester them - await a response & eventually AF-UK will recognise you without restrictions etc... welcome to AF-UK, #1 airsoft forum for big kids that never grew up1 point -
Hanguard Identification Help
John_W reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
Judging by the mounting hardware, I'd say clone. There should be five holes in the back of the rail, the extra two are threaded for an anti-rotation plate to be bolted on. That, and one of the QR sockets seems have gone walkies. Unlikely (but not impossible) on the RS.1 point -

What have you made?
Alimcd reacted to HuttArmouries for a topic
A bit of a ressurection project here. I bought this star m14 ebr about 3 years ago because it is a lovely chunk of c&c aluminium. It uses a proprietary gearbox and though I managed to get a new shell I soon realised that I couldent get the switch. So it sat and gathered dust for a long time. Recently I picked up a cyma m14 gearbox and a dremel and set to work. Unfortunately since the m14 gearbox has a sideways motor the current stock wont fit. Ill be making a layered plywood target shooting style stock instead. It will also be a good test run for the sks project I have planned in future. still working out how best to attach it as the bracket currently stops the motor from seating fully. Im happy to be finally making progress on this gun and It should be done soon. The main gearbox shell fits very tightly but ive found I had to remove the selector mech to get it to work so this is now a semi auto only gun. Parts I still need to source: some sort of bracket to bolt the stock to new charging handle as the old one shattered lots of little bolts1 point -

It's ground floor into my garden with 6 feet fences but I appreciate the heads up. It is a TM Sorry for not including the model. It is a TM MWS I appreciate it, but it is from my ground floor, into my garden with a 6 feet fence and I informed neighbours just incase. I am somewhat of a hypochondriac with this things but thank you TM MWS sorry for that, Abbey 144a. As recommended by TM but Zero one recently were surprised and said use a stronger gas. So I have Abbey Predator Ultra gas coming soon. Think that should be similar to green gas1 point

Obviously the tigerstripe fashion was last year so I'm late to the game but it'll be ok. Did get asked to censor 1 thing by a company (for now) so apologies for the black blob haha. Best thing I did was replace my really old pre-licensed VFC 'Stark' G17s with a TM Gen 4, bone stock, it feels toyish as hell by comparison but man it runs like a german train and shoots the lights out. I started with TM pistols when I first got in to the game, stayed from the path some years ago with some VFCs (when they were truly mediocre at best) and going back feels gooood.1 point -
