So I was working yesterday, surveying a building. This little guy showed up, my instrument has a built in laser pointer. (visible in the picture, right next to Mr. Cat) Could've been a 1h job, it ended up being 2 hours6 points

After a bit of wear and an engraving service (I know the font isn't quite right but I'm happy with it) I also improved the hop so it shoots 0.25 quite well.2 points

Cunning or Cheating?

So..... The “Dead Mans Walk” witnessed it last weekend to great effect, circa 8 players taken out In one game player walking nonchalant style towards the opposing team head down, rifle down, pistol out of holster and pointed towards the ground when eventually close enough to guarantee some hits, up comes the pistol and pewpewpew wasn’t long before an opponent opened up fire 😂 Eliminated players complain of cheating to marshals whats your opinion? (Sneaky bastard was me by the way)1 point -

If you don't have your hand in the air, your not dead to me, so you get shot at. It's sneaky tactics, but if noone on the opposing team even challenge/called out to them to ask or remind them to put their hand up if they were hit, then they were not being observant.1 point

Cunning or Cheating?
Cheeky vimto reacted to Cyberlawyer for a topic
Personally I totally agree with the players that complained to the Marshals and believe this should be dealt with in the strongest possible terms. Why do I feel so strongly on this issue, Two reasons: First it’s a matter of player safety. If a player is allowed to get away with this behaviour then the only realistic way for the enemy team to react is to treat everyone doing the ‘dead mans walk’ as a live player and open fire. This is going to lead to massive over shooting/over killing on the poor sods who are genuinely ‘dead’ and actually making the slog back to the safe zone/respawn. Yes there is an argument that dead players should have pistols holstered and hand/rifle in the air, but the reality is this only happens until they have withdrawn from the firefight that killed them and is impractical if the terrain is even moderately uneven and the respawn is more than about 50 yards away, particularly on larger sites where there can be multiple engagements between where a player ‘died’ and the respawn. Secondly, it is completely unrealistic and against the spirit of the game in an honesty based system that is intended to mimic engagements with firearms. It is not being clever or sneaky it is just as dishonest as players who don’t take their hits, in fact more so as there is no possible argument that the offending player may not have felt a BB at the end of its range that hits a bit of gear. It is straight out gaming the mechanics of the system.1 point -
So update on the g&p 3.5 valve. I was getting pretty bad results from it. My bone stock mws/MTR16 bolt gives me 83-89m/s with a fully gassed up and fully loaded magazine with 0.25’s which is around 1j and below. The very same bolt with the g&p 3.5 valve in its setting which directs most air forward (the setting which should give me the most m/s), I got a maximum of 98m/s, around 1.2 joules I think. The variance was also greater- towards the end of a fully gassed up magazine I was getting as low as 85m/s down from the initial shots of 98m/s. The trade off of shot-to-shot consistency for that extra 0.2j isn’t worth it to be honest so I’ve swapped back to the stock valve. I also tested the g&p valve on its most “closed” setting and I was getting very inconsistent m/s, between 45 and 60. Maybe this setting is out of the operational range of the valve though. All in all, I really like the g&p bolt, although the increase in joules was unexpected. I’ll reserve this bolt for outdoor use I guess since my cqb arena operates at a max 1.2J and I get 1.25 with the g&p bolt. The g&p adjustable valve leaves a lot to be desired in my case. Others seem to have had success with it but for some reason in my system it didn’t give me the FPS boost I wanted.1 point

Yeah I really didn't have a choice in joining a UK based airsoft forum as it had the best MWS thread and that includes you stormtrooper.1 point -

I think its worth getting a local engraver to do it. Make sure they have reference images because they don't have a clue what it should look like. Check the font they will use. I'm happy with mine which cost £20 but I know the font is a bit wrong and its not very deep. I took the slide to show and ask if they could do it. Unfortunately mine was done with a diamond tip etching method so not very deep. Ask if they actually engrave it. https://airsoft-forums.uk/topic/3820-gun-picture-thread/?do=findComment&comment=4108011 point

My experience as well. I had a few issues but it was easily resolved. I'd buy from them again though they wouldn't be the first place I'd look for anything I needed urgently. Phone them, don't email is my only advice.1 point -
The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

I did play this Sunday, was muddy but it wasn't raining. Had some serious fun, although my gun wasn't behaving properly as shots were going everywhere but where I aimed (I later found out that the barrel had two nasty scratches on the inside for some reason). In one instance I was aiming at one player but hit the guy 2 metres to his left Overall a good day, hits were called, laughs were had.1 point
