Mk18 performed phenomenally, was picking off people that before I wouldn’t even have bothered at and didn’t use nearly half as much ammo as I thought I would! Current loadout, as posted a few days ago. Tried to mix a bit of Boba Fett with Master Chief/ODST, Starship Troopers and Unreal Tournament whilst remaining unique, very practical/usable and without spending shit tons of moolah on posh cosplay gear that would be a nightmare to run about the woods in. Eat my UAR! Unreal Tournament 2004-style profile pic. An "oh shit, there's a Xenomorph" pose. That moment before merry hell kicks off and the smart guns light up... All good fun, this cosplaysoft. Ran with the Mk18 recoil and Arktis chest rig again, the fleece came off when it warmed up and I was busy trying to work both squad and team level comms 😂 Spot on day though, and I’ll try and get a review together. Impulse Posted October 18, 2021 Share Posted October 18, 2021 Finally got a natural picture at a game of me, which is a rarity since I'm always hiding in bushes so the photographers never see me, but AI500 didn't have enough bushes! This has been my go-to loadout during the summer. I'm the one on the right, doing as much of the sniper business as I could since no "sniper rifles" were allowed at the event. If i'm playing a site that doesn't go back to the safe zone for reloads between games (eg Gunman Camp Bravo) I typically take 8 mags out with me. Plus smokes, bangs, pistol +2 mags. However, I’m off to UCAP Vendetta in a few weeks and am thinking about dusting off the plate carrier as I think it’ll be a bit more effective in the close quarters environment where there’s less kneeling down and crawling about. Or perhaps "Fishin'soft"? OD, plenty of pockets for mid-caps, face pro and kneepad inserts. What's not to like? 😂 933 for lightness. Im half tempted to run with this next time... It's great stuff for airsoft use, super light, easy to work with, and takes all the sting out of hits while still letting you (mostly) feel and hear them. I did have one chap "cheat" call me yesterday, very politely, with my thanks, as I'm always super-careful to call hits while wearing it. The helmet is an M88 with a fan box on the back, piped to the goggles - it can get a bit sweaty in the foam. I'm constantly pondering doing a more "authentic" one out of foam, although having BBs whang off the plastic is quite satisfying. The "lasgun" is a G36C stuffed inside an EVA foam shell, running short M16 mags though a magwell adaptor. That big silver barrel is a dummy with a 3W red LED in it wired to the trigger. The real barrel is that small lower tracer unit. The "iron" sights are just hacked out of the foam using a bit of trial and error, and are accurate enough for CQB use - the whole outfit is really very practical. Most cosplayer add "weathering", but I'm constantly painting over damage - I've just spotted that there's a BB embedded in the stock. loctez 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Nothing OTT just a chest/shoulder piece of some sort. Just not sure how to go about it... as for "weathering"... nothing like genuine damage for authenticity!
