Amazing first gameday at apocalypse today for me and my friend who is new to airsoft. Games were fun, staff were great and the weather was incredible! Ran around with my new arp9 with my drum mag and tried to pretend i was ten years younger until my back decided to remind me that im getting old! ?3 points -

Great day today, Another indoor game and decided to use my MP5SD6 instead of my M4. Definitely made me choose my shots wisely as the mags don’t have the capacity of my m4 mags. Wasn’t a high scoring game for me but was happy with the amount of consistent hits I got, albeit I came home looking like I have chicken pox ??? My lad enjoyed himself too although we did take the P out of him for his choice of headwear, all in good fun.2 points -

Purchasing an accessory from a RS retailer - risk assesment?
Chev Chelios reacted to Zarrin for a topic
My local plods from Surrey police are actually aware of my airsoft kit as I was burgled in 2014 and lost a number of RIFS, the officer they sent to interview me a few days later was actually a regular at my closest site Epsom tunnels so he was very sympathetic to the trauma of losing all those pieces - was nice to start that conversation without an air of being interrogated as to WHY YOU GOT GUNS, and instead bonded over our shared hobby ? - we also had a good conversation about using RIFs in self defence in a home invasion scenario from a legal stand point; took away some interesting pointers.1 point -
How much gas do i need for a gbbr
shatis reacted to MistakenMexican for a topic
I played a full game day today. Including venting the mags and refilling them, I used one large can of Nuprol 2.0. So about £8-9 worth of gas. I can’t remember the last time I used more than 1 can.1 point -

The "GENUINE" VS-24 is a 5KU VS-25. The CO2 Mags are Well and basically worthless junk. No mention of Steel FCG, NPAS or barrel/hopup swap from stock WE shite barrel/hopup. Absolute mockery of a pisstake.1 point -

Trigger response: 13:1 faster than 16:1. Motor/battery stress: both will stress (13:1 will stress a bit more), but there is no practical difference.1 point -
Selling an Airsoft gun.
Mr Dellski reacted to Galvatron for a topic
The harsh reality is that two-tone airsoft guns depreciate much worse than than their RIF equivalent when all else is equal since the market for two-tone is mostly those without a defence to buy a RIF. 60-70% of current retail (not what you paid) is your typical going rate for used RIFs in good cosmetic and functioning condition to nigh-on pristine and perfect functioning condition. Two-tone will often fall below 60% because you have a smaller market of people interested in buying them since most people with a valid defence to buy a RIF will buy a RIF over two-tone. As EDcase said, to make the most money is to sell separately but it takes more effort and it will take longer to shift all of it. If you want it gone quickly, a bundle with a few deal sweeteners such as mags, ammo, batteries, a case, etc. will be your best option but expect to take a bigger loss than selling separately. I know I'm twisting the knife in saying this but G&G's GC16 and CM16 series with ETUs/MOSFETs are among the worst airsoft guns to sell & resell because they're not price-competitive any more. You can get M4 derivative guns from Double Eagle and Specna Arms with integrated ETUs/MOSFETs that have more programmable features at a price that undercuts G&G's offerings massively.1 point -
Selling an Airsoft gun.
Crazy_Crystal reacted to EDcase for a topic
Generally its better to sell everything separately but of course its more work to take pics. You'll probably have more luck selling here as its more busy. Make sure to put things in the correct category and don't forget to include a paper with your forum name and date. EDIT: I see you listed it already but you did not include the paper with name and date. Best to add a pic with that so it doesn't get deleted. Good luck ?1 point -
Not sure about others, but what I personally see is that the smaller the indoor site the higher number of PPPs (Proton Pack Players) you'll get. Precinct 13 is pretty tiny, when I went they said they limit to about 16 max and even that is too much and it gets stalemate'y. Which I could fully believe because there's only a single lane you can move down, you can't get through between the shops in the backs, only via the main concourse. They've put in about as many wooden structures as they can which makes it viable and overall not bad with small enough numbers but I'm not sure I'd go on a Friday night/weekend.1 point

A lot of sites do them of varying frequency. Driver Wood does a boot sale every 4th Sunday of the month Skirmish Airsoft Billericay partnered with Essex Airsoft Boot Sale for today's event. The latter had its own in Colchester back in February. RIFT Airsoft's annual "Shift Your RIFTs" has a weekend-long boot sale along with a few retailers under gazebos in addition to the skirmish events Red Alert has a boot sale every month or so The Midlands Airsoft Fair is set to return to Newark Showground in June. Last year it had both boot sellers and retailers, the latter of which had a few freebies such as morale patches, small carabiners, etc.1 point

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. The gun owner had some responsibility for not having some basic knowledge of absolute no-nos but the site owner/manager is more responsible for the reasons you started. He eventually did accept responsibility by settling the cost of repairs. I think he was as casual and non-chalant about it because he admitted to doing it before and having no complaints. The fact that he didn't think to check if there was a quick-change spring bothers me the most.1 point

It probably won’t wear the nozzle guide much as it will naturally roll the hop wheel and not scrape across it. A non-destructive way of testing would be to put a long strip of gaffer tape in the channel in the upper receiver that the charging handle runs in. That will move the bolt down a hair and may stop the issue. Then at least you know the likely cause and can always peel the tape out after testing.1 point

I must figure out how to get to Splatoon, looks like a decent days shooting. Red Mist 6: Operation Foxcub (Gunman Eversly, camp alpha) weekend filmsim, coldwar gets hot An amazing turnout for the Saturday, around 60 split over Warpac (DDR Section + USSR section and Nato forces (Rifles had a whole 3 sections plus us 'paras' with a couple of tag alongs from the 55th. A great day's shooting and story followed by a decent night drinking and social. For the Sunday numbers for both sides dropped but not crazy, the paras used: a G3 (ICS, metal, heavy) and pleasure to shoot a Fal which again super smooth and well hopped and I was using my (toy weight) mc51 which I really need to replace some parts on, maybe look at hop options, likely try and improve air seal.1 point -
Sad news today chaps and chapettes. It is with great sadness and a heavy heart, I must report the end of my beloved MS2 sling clone. This is the very sling that started this whole thread. I never imagined it would grow to be so popular over the years. 31 pages, and 280k views! Thank you for 12 years of service. RIP Sling ??1 point

Thankfully not. ? A player's gun was too hot for the chrono test so the site manager offered an unorthodox "solution" by drilling the nozzle of the said player's gun so it would fall within the joule limits. It could all have been solved with a quick-change spring swap out.0 points
