  1. Due to the increase in scammers, and to add better protection for buyers, any sale or swap advert in the Classifieds must include one photo with your AFUK username and a date. Effective from 01 December 2024. Below is the updated rule 5: All sales and swaps advertisements must have a picture, all pictures must be taken by the seller. Do not use a retailers pictures - take your own. There must be at least one photo with a piece of paper showing your AFUK forum name and date next to the item(s) for sale/swap (this updated rule is effective from 01/12/2024). Do not use Photoshop or other editing software to include your username and date, this is what scammers do and will result in adverts being deleted from the Classifieds. Using photos with different usernames from other forums, and links to other forum photos, is no longer acceptable.

My first AR platform is my take on a KS-1, using an EMG/Ares SR-16E Mod 2. Yes, the optics are wrong, but I don't have the £6K needed for an actual Vortex AMG and there's no replicas out there yet. The colours are also off, but give it a few years and all the issued KS-1s will all look like this ?. All told, I'm happy with it, despite the dramas I had getting the base RIF. I hope it performs well enough. @PopRocket123 I said I would win you over with my next project. So am I getting better? ?

  5. Well the S&T No.4 Mk1s seem to finally be on the shelves! £379.99 at PB (or £450 from DCA if you fancy emulating the KLF) . I'd been holding off buying the SMLE version for an age waiting for this release, with PB tantalisingly stocking the correct No.4 mags about a month ago, but not the rifle. Well, order placed, including two spare mages. Hopefully buying an example from one of the first factory batches won't be the usual lottery due to the (I imagine) largely internally identical SMLE version having been around for a few years already. Interestingly it seems the S&T No.4 mags only hold 32 bbs, compared with the SMLE mags holding 35 (albeit apparently they work interchangeably).

  6. You previously tried to sell this for £449, you failed to mention it was faulty, the only images you then shared were manufacturer stock images, & the text of your ad was as follows: Factory new for MWS(ZET) gbbr, shipped from china. Requires 17 days for shipping. No any other resellers in the worldwide. rocket inno Nothing about that looks like a secondhand sale, & 17 days to ship sounds like an on demand drop shipper.

    Border Force seized RIF

I have mentioned a few times before. The average grunt on the ground does not know what a UKARA number is. They only check up to 10% of all parcels that come through. Your parcel was one of those picked to be searched and they saw it was gunshaped and set it aside. UKARA does not mean goods wont be seized, just that you can get it unseized after the fact. Quote your UKARA number to the person dealing with your case and ask them to check the Database. It will take sometime, but keep chasing up and you will get your RIF. Screenshot you asking to put UKARA number on the parcel in your correspondence to the retailer (Just in case they didn't do it). Don't let up though as they may end up destroying it if you are not fast enough.

    Border Force seized RIF

I think it's more about the paper work from the seller's side than anything else. I bought at least a few guns from HK and never had an issue like this.

    Border Force seized RIF

Bad luck mate ? It seems to me that they've seized it in error because it should be completely legal. As Tommikka said, write a letter stating that it is legal under VCRA Section 36 (add any other relevant sections you can find) and provide your UKARA. Hope it gets sorted

Go through the points one by one. It’s probably the VCRA skirmisher defence, so check through all the points that they have referenced, reply covering them complete with your UKARA details (check they match the address in case of any changes and/or typos) and be prepared to have it decided in court VCRA Section 36.7 It is a RIF You have a defence with UKARA membership https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/38/section/36 VCRA Section 39.7 Refers to VCRA 39.6 and customs and excise act section 1 39.6 is with regard to the specifications of an IF (Eg If you didn’t have a VCRA RIF defence then you could have import an IF at >50% defined bright colours etc. (perhaps it has been checked to be overpowered for the UK, but the section references IFs) https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/38/section/39 https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1979/2/section/1 The other points refer to the various pieces of legislation. You should look them up but the key points will be: 1)VCRA RIF defence - your UKARA membership, plus be prepared to document your intention to continue to play airsoft skirmishing at insured sites 2)IF non compliance - should be covered by your RUF defence 3)Sender may not have correctly declared contents Be prepared to say to the court “Oh dear, that was very silly of them. I’m a responsible player and had intended to conduct a fully legal and open import, giving my UKARA details to the retailer 4)They have sent a non compliant RIF overpowered for the UK (only a guess on potential reasons) If so you’re either screwed or can go for the “It should have been supplied with UK compliant settings which can be arranged via x tech support in the UK

  18. Still not 100% that im gonna get to this, but im going to do my best??, but having not played in a considerable time, starting to pull kit together, need to fit deans connectors to a couple of guns, check gas mags, decide what I'm gonna wear.......Ooh I'd forgotten what a kerfuffle it can be?

  19. Sorry I am not a retailer, I bought this product from china and I bought it for personally use at the first point, but then I found the rare arms product are more attractive me than mws system guns so I just keep it in my case, and treat it properly. If I don’t buy any mws in the future I will sell it for sure. But I am just a noob player not a manufacturer or a drop shipper.

  20. OK, you've pretty much confirmed that: 1. Your a retailer, albeit one with very limited stock, & probably a dropshipper. 2. Your items are new, but also faulty. Forum rules exclude retailers, & all sales are meant to be secondhand items between private sellers, which you are not. You've made no attempt to interact with the forum members except to attempt to market a new but faulty product. I suggest you approach established retailers once your product is performing as it should, but this forum isn't the place for you or your product. Be aware that if you reattempt to market it here under different accounts, they will also be banned.

  21. Hi, the nozzle is made by polymer, it is not a metal nozzle. The reason why it is special is because it use the central shift system, so the BCG can have this nicely curved cut, so it can use the real steel dust cover.

Hi All, been on the forums for while, but never posted until now! I used to play fairly regularly starting in around 2009, but I stopped a couple of years ago, looking to get back into it in the coming year! Look forward to getting stuck in again.

  25. Sadly not that I know of bud. There are not many of us with these (or at least speak on forums here about them). In saying that, I’ve learnt more or less all I need to from searching YouTube. Yep, have a massive tube of Aeroshell here that will last me 20 lifetimes ? And concur, clicking that little tiny thing above is the way after use. For mag loading, I use the ODIN one with the GBLS adapter. Have bought a couple of spares in case my original cracks from Cage Airsoft.

  26. Have a good way to carry the hop allen key as the rubber beds in so you don't lose it. Something to load the mags that does not become a ball ache, I recommend the EMG electric speed loader. Grease is not a big issue, I paid huge amounts for aeroshell when honestly white lithium is fine. Use the heaviest BB's you can afford. When done for the day press the thing in the image it removes tension on a spring.

  27. Finally started a Crye MR-C build. I've been wanting to make one of these ever since GRAW came out on the Xbox 360 - 3D printing (and affordable design software) is now making happen after being on the back-burner for over a decade. It's just a wall-hanger/prop. Maybe one day I'll make a functional Airsoft gun but I'm not too bothered on that front. Still have a good dozen hours of printing, then numerous more hours of sanding, filling and painting. Stitch bitches should note this takes design elements from the two mock-ups I have found in my searches, and Crye's own low-res 3d renderings (they all differ slightly), along with some small creative liberties taken on my part (i.e trigger and ambi fire selector).

So Sixmm.com are pretty poor at Customer Service, but it also turns out they are shit at in house order monitoring too .... having chased for an update on my order 3 times with no response I disputed via PayPal, received an immediate 90% refund only for the items to plop through my letterbox this morning! RESULT!

  31. Hello all, received a letter from border force. Would appear mine is one that’s been caught in red tape and has subsequently been ‘seized’. Import from Hong Kong. The letter states I can appeal this in writing and by seeking my own legal representation, however other than simply stating that yes it is a RIF and I intend to use it for Airsoft purposes I’m not entirely sure what they’re asking for. I appreciate putting a UKARA on the box, however that doesn’t really seem to mean anything. if anyone has had a similar issue and happy to advise it would be much appreciated.
