Just had my MWS delivered! A little annoyingly the extra 3 mags are the Type 89 but I don't think it'll matter much. I can see why everybody recommends an MWS, I'm in LOVE!

So Sixmm.com are pretty poor at Customer Service, but it also turns out they are shit at in house order monitoring too .... having chased for an update on my order 3 times with no response I disputed via PayPal, received an immediate 90% refund only for the items to plop through my letterbox this morning! But in the absence of such hypotheticals becoming reality, airsoft guns are not air weapons. I should also point out that if Section 57A of the Firearms Act was somehow nullified and airsoft guns became air weapons, it would remove airsoft guns from Section 36 of VCR Act, because it doesn't apply to firearms. Meaning two tones would cease to exist and RIFs as we know them would actually become more prevalent to the general public.

Mine had the classic Ares piston failure years ago and is on its second micro switch. Having opened it up, it seems that the threaded part of the cap that locks the spring guide into place had given up, allowing the spring guide to bounce around, which had jammed the piston. Fortunately, it was a plastic toothed piston so the gears survived. I have fabricated a replacement from a bolt and a piece of steel and moved everything into a replacement gearbox as one of the internal threads at the front of the old gearbox had stripped and the other was on the way out. All seems good.

So tried changing bucking and it got worse, tried different barrel still bad. Checked compression on nozzle (should have done this before) and Maxx pro noz was leaking loads. Tried another max pro noz and same thing. Switched back to shs and hey presto it worked a treat. Now consistent fps at 270/280 and 0.9j-1j on 0.28g. Happy days and thanks for the help folks

If it was the genuine legit TM stock then I’d understand Ive ordered plenty from HK retailers, and have yet to get stung by taxes…. shipping on the other hand , they pee up your leg!

Sold all my pistols except the Mk23 and was going to buy a TM 1911 but heard that with the mags being small, they couldn't hold much gas. I started looking for a CO2 version (I also have a lot of bulbs left over from having a CZ Shadow 2) and was going to get a KJW KP-07 but stumbled on the Secutor Rudis 'Acta Non Verba' in this really nice stonewashed gray. A week later I found a TM Goldmatch for a price I simply couldn't turn down. Both shoot really nice and the TM has nice snappy recoil but I'm just wondering how long the plastic slide is going to last.

That's a great point. However... Perhaps better to say that nobody has yet prohibited it. Hasn't been applied, yet. I really, really hope that we don't get a test case for this, particularly in Scotland.

How long was the wait between games? From looking at the RIFT website they say you get a minimum of 8 games in a session but one session is 5 and a half hours long. Even with Tony's notoriously long briefings that sounds like potentially a lot of time hanging around in the safezone (something that's guaranteed to put me off a site. I've paid to play not sit on my arse)

,I was around 16 stone few years ago and over the years it been hard to shift the weight, I started running so I when airsoft with my son I could keep up and have fun without dying from exhaustion. So, over this year I have been running more and more, I started out slow from couch to 5K and in June I did my first race for life 10k event its so good getting across the finish line. I can now run the 10k distance without stopping and my current weight dropped to 13.4 stone at age 40 right now. Thanks.

Well as a fat lad, I usually enjoy my game days. Never much running involved tho, I don't get a chance to play very often but should make more of an effort TBH.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned in an early post. If airsoft guns are legally airguns then mail order delivery wouldn’t be possible, it would have to be RFD transfer to RFD with all the associated costs, delivery by an approved courier as some shops offer with airgun sales, or physically collecting face to face from the shop. As mail order is allowed I presume that airsoft guns aren’t legally classed as airguns.

In the last update from Sportsman's Assoc there was mention of Border Force accepting membership as 'valid defence' which surprised me. I wouldn't have thought they'd know about it.
