The way I see it, a country or regional ban would potentially lock out a large percentage of scammers, & it's not that drastic when you consider the number of viable posts we get from the likes of china/india/Russia etc etc, pretty much zero. Then add add a post count before classifieds access is granted, again that would deter many, but even if some are persistent & attempt to spam posts or waffle about airsoft, it's likely we'd soon weed them out by their lack of knowledge & possible poor grammar ?. That then just leaves the relatively small number of uk based scammers who play, or at least used to, think Steven Glennie etc, who may have the knowledge, but probably not the persistence to try to accomplish the post count access, but it's a lot of work to get there knowing your first dodgy deal would probably get you banned & back to square one, which will hopefully be made more difficult by members keeping their wits about them when it comes to paying for stuff, ALWAYS GOODS & SERVICES VIA PAYPAL, & if its swaps, insist that whoever has the lower feedback needs to send their item first.

Collector. only kept on display. Will add more pictures soon with scope etc This is a beautiful piece that ive very proudly had on display. When these were first made the initial batch had the metal (Zinc die-cast) Cerakoted after that batch they released a basic version without it, this rifle is roughly 9 years old and bought from a Japanese collector that like me had it mostly on display. It is in excellent condition and ive been reliably told by other collectors that it could handle red gas easily. Has period correct scope and sling, comes in original box with manual and 10 shells that I think are made out brass. Recently applied a boiled linsead oil coating on the walnut stock. As always would love this to go to a collector. Can post but would prefer a pick up due to how giant the box is. UK only

    What have you made?

Playing about mounting my Kywi pouches with 1” velcro one-wrap and with some off cut paracord made this quick access TQ* mount. Pull down on the red handle and it is instantly accessible. Probably 1001 things you can do with one-wrap, need to order a big roll as so handy for strap / cable management. *don’t buy knock off TQs unelss you clearly mark them FAKE. If you carry a real one get some basic first aid training (hint: very little of it involves tourniquets!)

Isn’t scamming the second oldest ocuppation? Sadly money brings out the worst in people. I’ve been lucky I think but I always try to communicate with people offline as well, if they have a mobile number great but not always fool proof. I think the ratings system works well and if people actually contribute on the forum is a green flag. But as always buyer beware, do your due diligence and if it’s too good to be true it likely is.

Tbh I hadn't even considered the voodoo witch doctor stuff as to me that's more of an annoyance as it's pretty obvious they're bullshit and they usually just spam all sections rather than sticking to the classifieds. Admin do a pretty good of removing them quickly too but if they're unable to spam the forum anyway then that can only be a good thing. I agree that any approach needs to be multi layered and there's no 1 magic solution. As I've posted before the best deterrent to scammers is for all users to use common sense, stay vigilant and, possibly most importantly, call it out when they smell bullshit.

Possibly not, maybe the less technically minded jizzbuckets will be kept out ?, but then the post count limit would hopefully befuddle those using vpn's, to be fair whoever thought that an airsoft forum would be a good place to offer the services of a witchdoctor & his potions, but doesn'tstop them trying. Multi layered is the way to go, just like irl, make your place look more secure & less attractive than your neighbours, so the scrotes go elsewhere........send em to zin, they need the business lol 😆

With VPNs being so common would country or region specific bans actually do anything?

  15. Agreed. In the past viper kit was considered pretty crap but they've improved alot over the years. While it may not be up there with the real steel gucci gear it's certainly good enough for a sunday skirmish

  17. The Bulle gear from flecktarn is great, but they don't seem to have a plate carrier option currently. https://www.flecktarn.co.uk/solidcolours_olive.html If you want something "uniform" for you all then China might be the way to go. If you just want the same colours then I'd watch out for cheaper end second hand real kit coming up like WAS etc. Depending on your budget you should be able to land some reasonable mid range kit like tactical tailor or Eagle industries in the £100-120 ish region.

  24. I agree that metal slides are more realistic and fun so if perfect performance isn't critical then go for a metal one. I had a KJW KP09 and it performed really well so that's definitely a good choice. Most of Mine are WE and apart from the Hi-Powers they're great for price/performance. I even have a few from Vorsk and haven't had any problems with them. For plinking they all perform roughly the same so just get the one you like the look of. Important not to lube too much. Don't spray anything in the nozzle or barrel. And even though you haven't mentioned it I would advise to stay away from Co2 as they can be a lot of hassle/expense when they go wrong.

As much as you can try and lock down a forum and add as many hoops as possible for a scammer to jump through, someone who knows they can get free money from people will become an athlete at jumping through hoops. The best defence is you becoming suspicious of absolutely everyone you don't know personally. If someone came up to you in the street and said they would give you a watch in 3 days of you gave them £200, would you hand over the cash, no of course you don't, but some people do, that's why this guy is sending everyone a Pm because 1/10 people will bite but wouldn't you feel a bit more comfortable knowing that money has a string attached to it and if things went sour you can pull it back? That's what PayPal goods and services is.... I don't know how many times I've seen posts from people saying they sent some random person money through friends and family or via bank transfer because the seller wanted to save on fees, those fees are there to protect you... Not them I don't wish to toot my own horn or jinx it but in the 20 years I've been playing and the 700+ guns and countless bits of equipment I've bought no one has ever scammed me but maybe that's because my due diligence is so high, before I send anyone money I read their full profile, I scan all their posts, I see what guns they've sold in the past, I read all their feedback, I see how long they have been in the site, I try and find their Facebook profile..... I want every single bit of information I can find before I hand my hard earned money over to a stranger and if that person is new to the site but genuinely might have that product, I'll ask them to take a photo of the item with them holding a can of spam.... A literal can of spam, you want my money, go buy a can of spam, is that over the top? Maybe but it's my fucking money (this came up from a car forum over 15 years ago, guy claimed he had some super sick car and no one believed him and someone threw out this stupid idea to hold up a can of spam next to his car and he did, forum blew up, spam photo became a thing to prove said item was yours) Scammers will always come and go, you'll never get rid of them but please do everything you can to cover your arse by using G&S

    Sixmm.Com Review

I'm sure the majority of orders do make it and it was PF that sent my stuff to the wrong address end of the day (though 6mm did zero to assist/rectify). Just use Paypal at the very least and remember you have to go to the Help tab along the top to find the Resolution Centre button, open a case, submit everything and then you have to go back in to the case to Escalate it manually in order for PP to review and you get your money back. Wouldn't recommend anyone use the place generally but in this scenario it's a different matter.

I went mad and called her some bad names and told her to pack her bags and go and live with her mother and that I wanted a divorce My best friend didn't get off lightly either. I told him "Bad dog Rover, bad dog!"and made him sleep in the garden.

    Fogging and glasses

If you mean me then yeah they work. Did about 40 pairs and some people are buying 2 pairs at a time now. Just in the process of trying out some revision sawflys which will get tested this weekend.

  33. nice idea. I went a different route and added fans to the side of the glasses. No bulky box or tubes as they run directly off a USB battery pack. A 2000mAh lasts about 2 days.

  34. There are few things I don’t compromise on one is tyres on my car and the other is eye pro. I would say spend as much as you can afford on decent eye pro. We can’t grow them back and fogging is much preferred to blindness, might sound dramatic but it I wouldn’t risk it. I use military eye pro and been hit in the glasses a fair few times and glad I spent the dosh.

  35. Personally I would never use anything that wasn't full seal. Try a pair on and see how many different angles you can poke yourself in the eye with an unjamming rod from.

  36. A middling to average skirmish day at Imperium today. I'd not been to a skirmish there before, only the Ground Wars (filmsim/battlesim type games). Despite it being 'just' a skirmish, the games themselves were well thought out. Capture an area, move a truck to another area, extract an item etc. Not just a typical, attack/defend fallback game. Used my GHK M4 and it ran like a dream all day. What let the day down to begin with was Imperium didn't do a great job of setting out the teams in the morning - red team was clearly outnumbered and had nearly all the rental players. The first game we just about hung on, but then got steamrolled three games in a row until lunch. After lunch they did a head count and found it was 46 reds playing against 67 blues; no wonder we never stood a chance! Once the teams were sorted, the afternoon games felt a lot more balanced to play. With some good back and forth action. There was the usual 'not calling their hits' but I didn't witness it myself. I did have one annoying moment though while attacking the FOB. At Imperium grenade kills are instant death, no medic just straight back to regen. I grenaded a position, ran round and got lit up. When I got there one of the lads said he was more than 5m away then mediced the others back in...

Life seems to have lost its humour for me. Fire off a few for me and remember, call your hits 👍 Regards Nigel
