I just bought @HuttArmouries cyma cm356 springer shotty. (That was close, autocorrect had fun there!!) I've not had a tri shot before and I have to say, it's really silly. 🤣🤣 Love it. Can't wait to use it on some unsuspecting 'softer. 😁

So I took to a friend of mine who is handy with RC toy cars and for some reason he manage to fix. My idea is that when putting the motor in, something was making it stuck and wouldn't run. Although I am sure that I've tried it out and didn't work.... Well, it's all good and running now

Superb morning at Driver Wood on Sunday - a 2.5 hour game, starting just before half nine, and running all the way through to lunch. Its the first time I've been there when they have run that, instead of two nominally one hour games (but which can get eroded through general faffage). As I only ever go for a half day/morning, packing as much play into that time gets my vote. Quite a fun game concept too - with lots of balloons located all around the playing area at different objectives in the team colours - idea being that you shoot out the enemy team colour balloons, and defend yours. Also I took along my 12 year old daughter for her first taste of airsoft - which she absolutely loved! I managed to give her a heavily curated experience - generally with us sticking as a pair, and me playing a lot less 'aggressively' than normal (and taking a lot more hits in the process!). She got a few hits herself, including her highlight of taking out a group of five enemy players ten minutes before the end - leaving her absolutely buzzing. I managed to arm her with a fully polymer Specna (even a polymer buffer tube) that I built up from a few parts - super light and the stock can be adjusted pretty short. Shout out to the site shop as well -coming to the rescue and selling her a multicam hoody for just £5 as she didn't have anything suitable in her own wardrobe.

Another excellent game at South Herts Airsoft today. For a while now once a month SHA have been running a full game day midweek. Numbers were low (12 total) which allowed for some sneaky shenanigans, but with the site being quite small you're not at any risk of wandering around not seeing a soul. Great games and sportsmanship all round, this place is definitely turning into my preferred site and I highly recommend anyone to pay them a visit. At £20 green fees they're a good deal too. I'd recently put a Maple Leaf hop rubber in my specna arms M4 so wanted to test it out and I'm more than happy with the results. The stock rubber was barely able to lift .28g bbs, but now it's sending them much further and I think it'll easily lift heavier ammo. In the end I ended up using it all day with the MP5K staying in the gun bag. The only downside to the day was the fuck up fairy playing havoc with the trains

I bought this and it arrived in good time and well packaged! Very easy to fit, it requires minimal filing on the nozzle wings to prevent it from catching on the receiver rails. There is a small risk of it jamming but I still have the stock spring so will upgrade soon and see how it runs and let it wear in a little. At this price it really is a no-brainer (have you seen the cost of a full travel steel bolt kit?!?!?) 10/10 would recommend this!

You stand to earn more selling separately. Bundling will often include something of little to no interest to a buyer so lowballers will be commonplace as they will look to buy for a partial resale with a profit. The G36c could fetch around the £90-110 mark. Having been two-tone may push that price closer to the bottom end. Do you know which brand the L96 is? Is it two-tone or a realistic colour beneath the camo tape? With the Wingun sidearm, do you know if the leak is with the pistol itself and/or the mag? Being boneyard, you may get £20-25 (plus £15-25 for the capsules) but the missing slide lock could be challenging to replace unless they are universally compatible with those from a USP/Mk23 or something along the lines of the H&K pistol family.

Before you do anything you should take yours apart and fully examine how it works. Look at what the outer barrel head (the part that fits into the upper receiver) looks like and above all measure the lengths you need. You said you can't measure the outer barrel, even though it's broken? Surely you can just measure the 2 halves?

They're both way too short. You need a standard 14.5" barrel for an M4.

Is there a specific reason you need to change the outer barrel, or is it just for aesthetic preference?

If you want recoil, if you want lock on empty function, if you want a gun you just pick up and use get a TM and buy new. If you don't care about those functions and like to work on your guns get anything else other than an Ares if the still make an H.

I have a Cybergun/VFC AEG Scar-H. It's a nice gun with good externals but the mags are expensive to get a hold of (about £15-£20 per mid-cap) from Asian retailers. I haven't worked on it internally yet but i've been told that VFC internals on AEGs are pretty shit. IIRC it has a standard V2 gearbox meaning upgrades are plentiful and cheap. The only parts that aren't standard are the hop unit and nozzle (length is like 35mm or something) but Maxx make a CNC rotary hop unit for Scars that will fit the H apparently. You'll struggle to find one new at a reasonable price due to trademarks and availability - The only retailer I know of with them in stock has them priced at 400 euro. I got lucky on the forums here and snagged it for about £100 plus £20 for a replacement part that was missing. Double Bell make a Scar-H which has no trademarks making it cheaper than other AEG Scar-H models but the magazines are still pushing the £15-£20 price range area but with the RIF being £200-£250 it's still a significant investment. I can't comment on the quality of the internals having not owned or worked on one. Personally, i'd suggest looking for a second hand one as you may be able to get a rifle + mags but from what i've seen they rarely come up for sale. Even when they do come up, unless you get really lucky, they're great examples that have been cared for, upgraded and the owners demand a good price for them. If there's anyone super knowledgeable about AEG Scars reading this, i'd love to pick your brains over some stuff. Please PM me.

Depends on your budget, I love my plastic cybergun two tone L but have a metal cybergun L I like to use too but it's heavier, my go to now is a WE scar-H GBBR. I've had no issues with any of them but they'd not used very often.

Went to the farm in Lincoln yesterday for the first time yesterday and apart from some really inconsistent performance from my ICS APE had a great morning, I say morning because into the second game after lunch my son got a call to say his son was being rushed to hospital with a suspected broken leg. We rushed off to pack up and leave, and while doing so were asked why we were leaving and then instantly offered a refund for half the day that we would miss. We declined and we told that if we came back to mention it on booking and they would only charge us half a day. Just to add a cherry on the top my son posted on the Lincolnshire airsoft page to say how appreciative he was of the gesture and the first response was from the farm team to ask how his son was doing (fine btw thankfully not a serious break). So not only is it a really interesting site to play, it is well run, good game play and pretty decent people running it to, and a second cherry is that it is really reasonably priced for a full game day!

I spoke to Ollie today for a good 20 minutes - he had a table with PewHub at the Midlands Airsoft Fair. As you'd guess, he was well enough to attend and is in very good spirits despite the very grim situation so it didn't dull the tone of discussing his GBBR builds and he gave some excellent advice on MWS builds that I will certainly take on. I'll leave it for Ollie to give a clearer update on his condition with his next video as he's awaiting something more certain from his oncologist.

Had a couple of deliveries today, type89 aeg from lymorejosh & a G36K from Daro198 , Royal Mail knocked it out the park as the type89 was only posted yesterday. The UGL I bought last month from JinxDuh but it bothered me that I only had a G36C to put it on so a G36K has been on the cards since the UGL arrived.

Well, just cos I'm not supposed to do any exercise while my knee(s) get sorted, doesn't mean I can't exercise my digits and purchase some airsoft kit, does it? So I've snaffled a couple of good things from the Action Hobbies boneyard... a large hard case for the princely sum of £12 (it's a bit tired and shabby, but it'll still do the job), and something I've wanted for a while.... an SLR! Well, a FAL. Well, a FAL carbine. But it's still a thing of beauty all the same 😍 A JG 3000 SA/LK 58 with 4 (count 'em) hi-cap mags. And it's been upgraded... a high rate-of-fire compared to my other JG guns, even on a 7.4v. It's allegedly got a Gate Aster hidden inside. But.. yeah, it's a boneyard gun - so it's not perfect - 2 of the hi-cap mags seem a bit buggered so they'll be conjoined into a single working (hopefully), and more importantly the single shot mode is a bit iffy. It's usually fine, but every now and again it won't fully cycle. Still shoots on the next trigger pull. Maybe the Aster wasn't quite set up properly? I'll set up a new thread for tech advice on that. In the meantime I just love the heft of this (metal receiver), and the look of it of course

Compare your form to the PDF in the first post of this thread For the questions on that form you would put: B RIF / parts = yes C RIF = no and RIf part = yes with your UKARA details inbetween Generally you would not need a defence for parts as it’s not a RIF, but the form could be used in the context of parts to modify an IF to RIF or for multiple imports of separate parts to ‘smuggle’ and manufacture a RIF

Came with 4 mags, 1 is leaking so I'll get that all fixed up. Coming with me to the upcoming Vietnam filmsim as the mags fit perfectly in my SKS chicom. Hop rubber is also knackered, so I've got a Flamingo bucking on the way and figured I'd stick a Maple Leaf Crazy Jet barrel in it as well while I'm in there, so those are on the way.

As per a recent related thread, I signed up to Just-Cos to get the true cover information. A member of the forum recently signed up to Just-Cos to obtain their ‘defence’ to purchase a RIF. In their actual transaction they were required to submit the insurance certificate and a photo of them playing. (Below I will show the certificate that you get upon joining Just-Cos which does not insure you, but the group/society) The ‘defence’ provided and used by the retailer was therefore the playing photo which rendered JustCos membership redundant to the transaction …. The Guns Airsoft guns are full size 1:1 scale replicas of real world firearms. They shoot small plastic balls, 6mm in diameter with approximately 1 Joule of energy. This energy level is very low when compared to most other shooting genres and is a safe energy for use with both paper and human targets. These replicas are commonly made entirely from plastic with only a few metal parts inside to increase the reliability and durability of moving parts. Construction quality varies wildly from model to model, as does the use of materials. Airsoft guns can be powered by electricity (from a battery pack inside the gun), by spring (the user manually compresses the spring before each shot) or using an expanding gas (refrigerant gas is commonly used from a reservoir either inside or outside the gun). The only thing airsoft replicas have in common with real firearms is their external size and shape. Inside, these models have totally different workings to the internal mechanism of a firearm, and the materials used for construction could not possibly withstand the explosive forces of a bullet that real weapons are designed to take. The Game Similar in essence to paintball, two or more teams are pitched against each other in different scenarios. Originally designed to simulate a war zone with more realism than can be achieved with paintball, these games are played on privately owned and insured sites dotted around the country. Normal Airsoft replicas are used and strict safety limits are imposed in order to make sure that everyone has fun and no one gets injured. A days play will usually cost you about £15 to £25, or possibly more if you choose to hire a weapon. This normally includes all games during the day and hire of eye & face protection. Some sites will even provide lunch. Airsoft Skirmishing is generally far cheaper than paintball. Airsoft games can have many scenarios and there are plenty of favourites. "Capture the flag", "hostage rescue" and "last man standing" are popular paintball games that have been adapted for airsoft. To play airsoft, you must be wearing the correct protective clothing. As with many other sports you're only safe if you are properly dressed. After all, you wouldn't expect to see Lewis Hamilton getting in to his racing car wearing his favourite t-shirt and no helmet! An Airsoft BB hit on bare skin will leave a small mark on the surface of the skin that will look and feel like a bee-sting. The more powerful the airsoft gun, the more it will hurt if you get hit, but with site energy limits in the UK being largely 1 Joule, there is no possibility of a BB causing a penetrative injury. With this in mind, airsofters wear eye & face protection, sturdy boots and tough clothing. For extra protection gloves and a scarf can be worn to give cover for your hands, neck and ears.
