    Hi everyone.

Hi, I'm new to these forums but have been shooting pellets, bb's, and a while ago S&M model 19 with 38 special ammo at Wisley. I am now physically challenged so can no longer carry on so I have a couple of guns in the classifieds but I also have a couple of plate carriers, ammo of various weights, scrim and all kinds......so if anyone needs that sort of stuff a donation of some money to the Dorset Air Ambulance and the RNLI that would secure it for you. PM me for exact details as I won't split it apart from the plate carriers. I'm truly gutted I can't play in mud, trees and bushes and snipe ? An aviation/military historian by brain and a Rush n Thin Lizzy styled guitarist and can talk the above until I'm horse ? Be well, be lucky and most of all be happy ?

  6. So last night I took a trip down to Future Survival in Gravesend for some mid week CQB. On arrival I got signed in and found a free spot in the quite small safezone to sort out my kit. There was around 15 players there and while I didn't find myself struggling for space, it did feel a bit crowded. After kitting up it was off to chrono. This was done quickly and without fuss. Interestingly I did notice on their site rules the limits are slightly different depending on bb weight used, 340fps (1.07j) for .2g bbs or 310fps (1.12j) for .25g bbs. Tbh though the difference is that small that it doesn't really make any difference Games played were a mixture of types including deathmatch and king of the hill and the turn around between games was nice and quick but didn't feel rushed. One rule I did fall foul of was when it comes to grenades. Their rules state "no pyro or flash bang grenades" which I took to mean disposable paper pyros, but actually includes BFGs. Something which I only found out after tossing one into a room. The marshal did say he'd forgotten to mention it in the briefing though. The only other negative was some of the other players. Quite a few (on both teams) seemed to have a difficulty understanding what dead men don't talk means, fortunately though they could easily be ignored. TL,DR: It's a well run site and I'd say the game zone is quite well laid out and IMO only needs a couple of tweaks to improve it. A solid 3.5 out of 5 overall

  14. You're right, there is a limited number of OEMs but much like the screen analogy used earlier, the difference lies in what goes around the basic guts of the motor. Be that the quality of the bearings/magnets/copper or the firmware in the ESC there will be a difference based on the market cost of the items. Do I think that Warhead motors are overpriced? A bit. But they were the first to market with a well made product and responsiveness to customer feedback. They went down well with the early adopter crowd and what we are seeing here is the upshot of the market reacting to that. The OEMs knocking out cheaper versions of the same basic components just with varying levels of sophistication added on by the "brand".

  16. Let's see of this will work now.... Some pics of my loot... Two posters, which I then got autographed and authenticated. Now I just need to get them framed... Almost everyone signed in black, but had a laugh with David Hewlett who asked what colour I would like his autograph done in, and I said I would leave it up to him to choose... so he went with gold and joked that it was in character for Rodney. Some screen-used props with certificates of authenticity... Group photo from Saturday with all the cast and me in SG1 gear (and my Tokyo Marui P90, then solo photo with Joe Flanigan from Sunday when I was in my "what if" cosplay And finally some pics of me posing in front of the stargate props on Sunday in my "what if" outfit. Unfortunately I didn't gey a chance to pose on Saturday in my SG1 outfit due to crowds and the significant delays with the autograph lines, which I'm pretty annoyed about, but oh well.... Ah, we did meet briefly on the Friday, and I did look at the collector cards, and I was tempted. It's very possible I was the guy you thought... I was wearing a Sabaton t-shirt and was weighed down with several bags containing mead I had bought that day as I was heading back to the car. Lol. Luck you XD Yep... =P

  20. Also dressed up as SG1 on Saturday, but then because the Atlantis costume i ordered got stuck in customs, on the sunday i did an alt universe "what if?" Cosplay to represent what it could look like if the stargate was never sent to the US, and SG1 were British Commandos instead. Both outfits were complimented by some of my airsoft RIFs.... and before anyone makes a fuss, they were all disarmed and unloaded, I checked with the head of security and 2 of the con supervisors on the Friday, who all gave the OK after i explained exactly what i wanted to do and use them for, then checked in with security saturday and sunday to demonstrate they were safe and unloaded, and then made a concious effort to stay inside the venue and away from any window or door that faced outside of the hotel where the con was held. Unfortunately the same could not be said of a couple of other cosplayers, who aparrantly decided to leave the lobby of the hotel with their cosplay weapons on them and walk up the entrance road to a little compound containing a bunch of vendors in marquees... and got spotted by Joe public who phoned police and resulted in an armed unit arriving at the con, and said cosplayers being asked to leave by security after the armed response was stood down.... but as I stayed well out of sight I only heard about this through second-hand information and did not witness it directly. Also got complimented by head of security at the end of Sunday for being concious enough to check in with them each day, and thanked for being sensible where others had not been. But back to the con itself... Friday was pretty quiet, with not much going on, so I was able to mooch around the vendors in all areas (dressed in t-shirt and jeans) to get my spending out the way early. I bought a few screen used props, including a "one line schedule" for the very first episode that was signed by the late Don S Davies (General Hammond). Saturday turned into quite a shitshow in the autograph area. Queues were initially separated into day pass holders, who had to line up through a barrier maze like at airport security, while accessibility and VIP pass holders (like myself) lined up around the outside of them to get priority access... but then more day pass holders were let through ahead of VIP passes, people opened up barriers in the zig-zag to jump the line, and then there was a traffic jam where no one moved for almost an hour... byvwhichbtime some of the stars had to leave for other scheduled events such as photo ops and meet-and-greets, so many, many people were getting very angry at missing out.. and even some of the stars were getting pretty annoyed (in particular, i overheard David Hewlett aka Rodney McKay getting rather annoyed). Somehow I managed to get all but 4 autographs on my stargate posters on Saturday, but missed out on one of the stargate stage panel Q&A sessions. Have to take my hat off to Richard Dean Anderson though, he was signing late in the day, and made it clear to staff he was not leaving until everyone in the line waiting had got his autograph.... I heard he was still signing at 10pm... and then he did the same again on Sunday as they were beginning to dismantle the convention around him (other stars did similar things, but RDA went above and beyond in my view) At the end of the evening I hung around the after party, which included a set DJ'ed by Kristian Nairn who was also one of thebguests for "Our Flag Maens Death", another group that was being hosted by the convention. Other bonus points from Saturday.. 1. I sat down for the "ultimate stargate photo" with all the stars, sat between RDA and Jason Momoa... and both complimented me on my costume. And when I pointed out it was a last minute purchase as the original I had ordered got stained when I spilled bleach on it by accident, RDA said he still loved it. 2. I got a hug off Amanda Tapping (Samantha Carter).... a brief one, but a hug none the less 3. Due to the traffic jam in the autograph line, I got to have a brief and nerdy chat with Joe Flanigan (Col. John Sheppard) about WW2 fighter aircraft. He had initially mis-spoke and called the P90 I was carrying a P40, but then corrected and wondered aloud why he was thinking of the P40... and so our little chat began, but only for a couple of minutes before the line moved on 4. Brad wright (The shows creator) saw my TM P90 and joked how intimidating I looked, and how realistic it looked. After I told him it was an airsoft replica, I passed it to him to look at, and he fiddled with it for a moment and held it in the aim before handing it back to me and saying "very nice". By that point my brain was too fried from the heat, and I seriously regret not asking for a pic of him holding it... but such is life Sunday ran a whole lot better, as the staff had Rearranged the queuing barriers in the signing area so people had to line up for each table, split into two lines for day pass and VIPs at each table, and a staff member on each line controlling the flow, rather than Saturdays effort of "everyone starts with one star and then moves down the row of tables one by one..." but with onlyvone person trying to manage all the crowd at once. Managed to get the last few autographs, and also a photo op with Joe Flanigan and a meet-and-greet with David Nykl (Doctor Zelenka), before catching the massive stargate panel tonwrap up the day. Over the course of the event, I had many people asking me about the costume, particularly my airsoft weapons, and so I was happy to answer their questions and talk about airsoft, and I even had 3 people say they had never heard of airsoft before, but would be looking into trying it out if they had a local field. i also had several people ask for a picture and I even had one person doing a university PHD study want to interview me for part of his thesis about how roleplay in Cosplay and LARP can be "commodified or assist in exercising political awareness in fan spaces" and they had not considered airsoft, so would like to get my take on it from an airsoft, rather than a cosplay perspective. All in all, the positives outweighed the negatives, but I will be cautious about attending the basingstoke comic-con next year, especially if they get as many huge stars in one place at the same time, as it made for an extremely busy and sometimes chaotic event. Having trouble uploading photos at the moment... will try uploading again tomorrow after I finish night shift and am back at my computer...

  25. I decided to bite the bb and paid them a visit last night. I've put a post on the 'how did your airsoft day go' thread so I'll keep it short here. A nice little site which is well run. The only negatives were that they don't allow bangs and some of the dead players giving people's positions away. I'd definitely visit again but I don't know how often they change the layout as it could get a little boring if they don't

  26. I live in Basingstoke and bloody missed it!. I did try going Saturday afternoon. Saw the crowds and thought "sod this". I've been to other comic ons and crowds aren't usually an issue. But there just seemed no control or order to it. Shame as stargate is my favourite sci-fi and would have relished a chance to meet them. Specially in my back yard!... Once in a lifetime time opportunity wasted coz I couldn't face the crowd. Lesson learnt really.

  30. It's not so much the length of the motor that's a problem, more that the space between the bearing point and the back of the motor shell is less on a brushless motor. If the motor was shorter but still the same sort of profile then you'll get the same problem.

  33. Yep, and makes sense due to the high tooling costs. A few years ago I wanted a Chinese motor factory to make me a motor similar to the Taiwanese / ASG versions that were out. This required all new tooling etc and I was quoted around $100,000. In regards to the Paragon motor, I didn't even think about startup speed or parallel winding (again whatever that may be). I did however think about the motor shaft thickness and CNC pinion gear (samples are on their way now) For EZO bearings these I decided against as it would have added an extra £10 onto the price and the ones I use are high grade and seem fine so far. One thing Michael from Paragon did pick up on was that the T238 was quite a bit shorter and did say it caused some issues on some builds, hence why there's is longer.

  38. Something interesting is that bargain basement Chinese motor manufacturer Chaoli is also now selling brushless motors. Maybe this is one for @ak2m4 but I'm assuming, like a lot of electronics, there may only be a few genuine manufacturers of brushless motors and a lot of what we see is from the same sources with different branding applied? (the products from many vendors look identical, just with different colour anodising / logo's applied).

    What have you made?

Just finished my new sub-£100 ghillie setup and I'm quite pleased with the results. Wanted a boonie + cloak setup to be lightweight, breathable, easy to move in, easy to crawl without picking up the entire forest floor and not getting caught on everything. I'll be using it with m81 woodland BDUs underneath, a pair of OD fingerless gloves and camo paint for my face to keep good airflow around my head to prevent eyepro fogging and keep general sweating to a minimum. The webtex vest I just cable tied directly onto, but the boonie hat I poked a bunch of holes in with an awl and then used the holes to cable tie material onto it. I hate the rather prevalent over-engineered all-over bush suits, so a boonie + cloak setup is far better for me! Also, the webtex vest has elastic veggie loops, so if I'm at a larger or more serious event I can put natural foliage all over it as well. It's totaled up as such: - Webtex Concealment Vest ~ £40 (but I already had this buried in my airsoft stuff) - Novritsch screen camo set ~ £28 - Novritsch raffia ~ £13 - Teesar boonie w/ neck flap - £16 Total ~ £97

  41. I've had mixed experiences with them, some to my benefit & some to piss me off, not enough to stop me buying from them if they have what I want but enough for me to kick myself when I place an order before I remember the bad experiences. The bad/worst... they sent me an L85A3 that was obviously a return with damage. They never replied to my emails about the damage. The good... they sent my the wrong thing which I sold for a nice profit.

  42. Hoping this will help locals give this site consideration for a visit, sorry for the wall of text. Armageddon Airsoft: The Woodland - £20 walk on. First time at this site depsite being on my doorstep and I have nothing negative to say about anything within the sites control. The site had a raffle for a CYMA Deagle AEP on the day at £2.50 per ticket. Staff were super friendly and chatted with all players all day (incuding the owner) even getting involved in the games later on. No issues with hit taking or similar. Everyone attending was there to have fun. Three dogs mooching around the safe area at all times is always appreciated. Longer break between game modes due to the warmer weather we've been having. We started out with a 'capture the objective' game mode where teams had to activate/de-activate lights on an objective box between the two team spawns. Our team were second to the objective but handily dispatched the other team and defended thee objective as the enemy team declined to use the better sight lines afforded from their side of the field. Great comms across all players. Second game was an attack/defend scenario further back in the site. Defenders with 3 lives, attackers with unlimited. The defenders who last the longest win. We attacked first getting bogged down (quite literally) in some places due to stubborn defenders who were eventually relieved. Again, no issues with hit taking or similar. Switching sides meant we were defending and we had elected to not reload our mags leading to a overly long delay into the attack as the attackers filled up. We outlasted the attackers despite some minor confusion over how much of the site was playable (given it's literally a block of woodland). Regardless, we held out and won. By lunchtime, it was 2-0. Sadly, players left during lunch but that can't be helped. Teams shuffled randomly to assist balance. After lunch was capture the flag. The flag was in a very exposed middle area between the two spawns. I'm pretty sure the bolt action players could reach each other spawn. The field was super wide but narrow if that makes sense. Mostly my focus was on the right flank as it had some heavy shrubs/bracken offering concealment and limited structures for cover. After fumbing a pyro throw and being killed by a likewise reply I went left from spawn and moved through the pyramid style barricades and log walls that had been constructed. After 4 or 5 clean semi-auto kills the action on my flank died down and game end was called with the enemy team getting the win. 2-1. It was during this game that half my charging handle decided to drop off. Amazing. The final game I played was 'duo kill confirmed' where everyone had one armband which was your 'life'. If you got hit, you counted to 10. If, within that 10 seconds, anyone came to claim your armband (and you were left without one) you were out. If you counted to 10 and no one claimed it, you were back in. The spicy rule to this game; if you killed someone and took their band, it's a extra life. In theory, you could have as many lives as players on the field if you killed them all and took their bands. If the enemy you killed had multiple bands, you can only take one while they count down from 10. For this game mode, myself and the player I was teamed with purposely backed ourselves into the corner of the play area so that we only had two angles to watch. We were engaged in a lengthy trade off with another duo resulting in nothing but wasting ammo and the enemy duo retreating as well as discovering strange hop issues arising from both our rifles. Fuck. After a few minutes of fuckery, we managed to get our rifles settled in time for TWO separate teams joining forces against us, pushing from both sides. This was our Alamo and my excuse to break out all of the pyro I had brought. One of the enemy split away and pushed to our left who I 'killed' several times but was never close enough for me risking running to take his band. My partner was in a slightly elevated tower watching the mid and right, delaying the other three enemies as much as physically possible. Eventually the enemy on my left got close enough I could just throw pyro at him to get the kill and delay his attack but still not close enough to take his band. Then it happened so quick, my partner was hit, I killed his killer, I was killed, partner was back in - killing my killer allowing me back in, rinse and repeat. The enemy pushed closer all the time this was going on and eventually ended with myself and my partner being out and we watched the final two teams constantly trade fire two feet away from each other while laughing before calling it a draw realising it was fruitless. Negative: In small areas it was boggy, almost lost a boot at one point Also, nettles suck which I knelt in a few times plus thorns. Nothing new to woodlands players. Positive: What a great day, will definitely be going back here. Owners, site, level of play, game modes and players were fantastic. Can't recommend enough.

    Forum Rules

Anyone not cohering with these rules will face a suspension, ban or deletion of their account, this includes all posts and topics. The Guidelines • Search There is a search feature on this forum that will help you to find information that may have already been posted up. Often people experience very similar problems so the chances are that your question has already been answered is highly likely. Regulars to the forums will usually be aware if your question has already been answered several times before, so some may become annoyed you didn't use the search feature. There is a three character minimum length for searching, i.e. MP5, hpa, fps. Try using different search terms to get more results. • Giving advice Give solid advice only if you are sure what you are talking about. Don't mislead people as at best you are risking their money, and at worst, you are risking their safety. It's much better to say your only guessing and let others add to your answer than to lead the person into doing something wrong, and coming back and pointing the finger at you. • Post in the appropriate sub-forums If you want to chat about the latest Airsoft releases, do it in "Latest News". If you are new to the forums and want to ask a question, it might be best in the "Advice & Technical Help" forum. If you want to sell something, the "Classifieds" forums are the place to announce it. Basically, have a look at all the categories and post where you think your topic will be best suited. • Use descriptive titles for new topics Posting a topic with the title "Look here!", or "Please help", will not attract the attention of the users. If you use titles like "JG G36C gearbox problem", or "New gun from ICS!", more people will view your post and will know what they are about look at. Do not post titles in ALL CAPS, do not post misleading titles ("clickbait"). • Use good English and check your spelling! "1337-Speak" should also not be used on these boards. Nor should "text speak", use your word processing software to check for basic spelling and grammar errors, we aren't looking for the best English, but it is a lot easier to read a checked post, than another like, "hi, wel i av a prob wiv me gun u c nd i dnt no wot 2 do". Adding punctuation, full stops and commas make it easier to read. • Use Personal Mail (PM) Instead of posting in a Sales / Swaps topic which will cause it to 'bump' that topic just use your PM to communicate asking and answering questions. Sellers should be aware that any post, for whatever reason (especially answering questions or making a comment), that are before the 7 days is considered a bump. If you cannot receive PM then try deleting some old ones to free up space. • Caps lock Do not post in all Caps lock as it looks like you are shouting at somebody and is also very annoying to read. Topic and advert titles are to be in normal sentence case, not in all CAPITALS. • Don't post duplicate topics Multiple topics started about the same thing may be deleted, merged or moved at the moderators' or my discretion. If you intend on using the Classifieds forum you must read and follow the rules • Use "Smileys" effectively "Smileys" can be used in your forum posts. If you are joking about something, use them to help indicate that your statement was made humorously. They can be used to indicate your mood and show that something was not meant to be taken seriously. If you don't use them, people will assume you are being serious. Arguments have broken out before because of a misunderstood joke. • No Arguing Don't argue, if you feel offended by the comments of another user or believe a post is offensive, report it to the moderators, and they or I will be deal with it. Starting a fight may result in sanctions for all those involved. Our first decision is our final one! • Be nice to other forum users Treat others as you would like to be treated to yourself. There is absolutely no need to be abusive on these forums. If you are then your posts / topics will be edited or deleted, you may be given a warning, you may get your account suspended, and persistent offenders will be banned. • Post Spam Don't post just to raise your post count, there is no bonus in it, and moderators will become frustrated with the spam. Continued post spamming will result in a suitable sanction. • Be Constructive If you don't have something constructive to add to a thread then don't post at all. This applies especially in the "Classifieds" section, if you have something to say, PM it to the seller. Comments like "good luck with the sale" or "nice gun" are also not appreciated. Repeatedly ignoring these guidelines when you post, may lead to your posts or account being moderated/edited. If you intend on using the Classifieds forum you must read and follow the rules Forum Rules The following are rules that must be adhered to. Failure to follow these rules will attract the attention of the forum moderators. All moderators are friendly people and follow the rules laid out to them, they are there to enforce the forums rules, if you have a problem with a particular moderator please PM me "proffrink" personally. • Thread bashing/trolling There will be some posts or threads in the forum that you may not like. If you dislike somebody's thread or some of the people participating in the discussion simply don't bother reading or replying to it. Posting/trolling in it with the sole purpose of having it closed (bashing) will not be tolerated. • Off topic Try to stay close to the original topic of a certain thread as much as you can. If you wish to talk about something else make a new topic, do not use an existing one. Remember to use the search function as there may already be a topic for what you wish to talk about. • Spam Adding posts that contribute nothing to the conversation (spam) will be deleted or merged with a previous post. Do not "bump" your threads by posting irrelevant information or just "bump". It is spam and will be deleted. Continuous spamming will result in warning points being added to your account, a suspension, or a ban from the forums. • Advertising No one is to use their account to place advertisements in their signature, avatar or any posts. Anyone caught will have their account, including all posts and topics deleted. They may also be banned by IP depending on the seriousness of the offence. Retailers / shops are not to place any adverts in the Classifieds. A shop can create one topic in the Places to Buy section, using the shop name as a title, with a link to your website. • Duplicate Accounts Each user is only allowed one account. Duplicate accounts take up valuable system resources and annoy other forum users. It is very easy to spot duplicate accounts created or used by the same person, and any duplicate accounts found will be removed. Breaking the following rules will result in an immediate IP ban, deletion of account and removal of all posts and topics. • Absolutely NO References glorifying or inciting drug-misuse References glorifying or inciting criminal behaviour or violence Images or videos of graphic violence Images or videos of an adult or graphically sexual nature Images or videos that show drug misuse • Racial, Sexual and Religious Equality This site makes no discrimination between people of different race, sex, or religion. The Law Your sale must be in compliance with Great British law, especially relevant; the VCRA, which has laid down various restrictions on the trade of Imitation Firearms (IF) and Realistic Imitation Firearms (RIF). Remember, the seller is responsible for checking and verifying the legality of a sale. Please see the UK Law section of the forums if you need any guidance on this and open a topic if you're unsure. None of the below is legal advice. In short: As a seller you are liable for who you're selling to. No airsoft gun can be sold to someone under the age of 18 irrespective of whether it's 2-tone or a RIF (i.e. black/realistically coloured) As a seller you must take precautions to satisfy yourself that who you're selling to has a valid defence against prosecution for owning an airsoft gun - for the majority of cases this means the person you're selling to should be an airsoft skirmisher. Some things you can check are: Skirmishing site membership UKARA database membership Photographic proof that a member is a skirmisher (i.e. pictures of them playing) In the interests of protecting the right to play airsoft in the UK, please be diligent when coordinating your sale, ensuring you adhere to the points above. Be responsible and reasonable in your requests for information on another player - do not ask for more information than you require or would be happy to give yourself, but do satisfy yourself that who you're selling to is a legitimate player. Forum Specific Rules (action will be taken against your account for disregarding these) Failure to comply with the rules will result in you receiving a ‘Forum Warning’. Warnings start with the verbal kind and steadily increase in respect of seriousness/repeat offences right through to a ban and deletion of all posts and topics along with your user account. Find out more about ‘Forum Warnings’. All sales / trades must take place between two adults (i.e. over 18 years of age). All sales and swaps must use the sales template. Add additional information to let buyers know your trade preferences or location for collection. This will help sell your gun or gear as listing without pictures rarely sell. All sales must have an asking price. The price must be in UK Sterling £. All sales and swaps advertisements must have a picture, all pictures must be taken by the seller. Do not use a retailers pictures - take your own. There must be at least one photo with a piece of paper showing your AFUK forum name and date next to the item(s) for sale/swap (this updated rule is effective from 01/12/2024). Do not use Photoshop or other editing software to include your username and date, this is what scammers do and will result in adverts being deleted from the Classifieds. Using photos with different usernames from other forums, and links to other forum photos, is no longer acceptable. The Username must be clearly visible in the photo otherwise Mods will not see it and issue a warning. You must have access to the item that you're selling. You cannot be selling items that you do not own, are not able to post immediately or being sold on the behalf of someone else. You must include a picture of every item that you are selling. It is not acceptable to just show a box or use a stock images. Pictures must be visible in the listing (placing a link instead of a picture is not permitted). Do not list the same item twice simultaneously. I.e. don't 'double list' an item. You cannot have an advert in both Sales and Swaps section for the same item, just select "For sale or swap" for advert type. Once your item(s) is/are definitely sold/you've found the item you're looking for (even if the sale happened elsewhere), please mark the advertisement as 'complete' by visiting the listing and clicking 'Set as Complete'. Second hand airsoft-relevant items only. No selling/swapping of any other items, this includes offering items such as consoles for trade. There are no exceptions to this rule. No sales of knives, real guns, airguns, or any item of any description that readily fires metal munitions, metal munitions themselves, or any other weapon of any type, aside from IFs and RIFs within the legal limits. The following limits are on all sales with no exceptions: <370ft/s for full auto systems with a .20g BB (1.3J is the legal maximum) <520ft/s for semi auto systems .20g BB (2.5J is the legal maximum) <520ft/s for single fire systems .20g BB (2.5J is the legal maximum) The Classifieds are not for retailers / shops. Any advert that appears to be from a retailer will be removed. You must communicate with your buyer/seller once a transaction is initiated (i.e. ignoring their PMs or topics asking what's going on with a sale/purchase). If you complete a trade/sale of any kind via the forums, please leave feedback for the seller/buyer, this allows us to see who we can trust or who we need to keep an eye on. You may leave feedback by going here. Any suspicions about the item(s) or seller should be sent via PM to a Moderator. Use the "Report this advert" link at the bottom of the listing and include a message (this will flag an issue for Moderators to look at). Transaction Advice (action will not be taken against your account for disregarding these) When buying or trading, we recommend that you take down the following details of the other party: full name, address, telephone number, email, alternate telephone number (work or mobile). It is wise to check the address is legitimate and that the telephone number is answered by the person you are dealing with. We also recommend that you request a photo of the items with a piece of paper next to it with the sellers username and contact details written on. We recommend PayPal for online transactions due to their excellent buyer and seller protection. Bear in mind that methods such as cheque, postal order, bank transfer or other may not be protected and as a result of using them you may not be able to retrieve your losses should anything go wrong. If you are paying for goods via PayPal, please make sure your payment is labelled for goods/services. Sellers may ask you to label your payment as a gift to avoid PayPal fees. However, this will prevent you from being able to access any of the PayPal buyer protection services (i.e. if something goes wrong, your money cannot be refunded). Should sellers ask you to do this, it may be better to offer to pay the fees out of your own pocket instead. Parcelforce 48 will post RIFs if you declare the contents as an airsoft gun. We recommend them as a courier. Disputes Given the nature of trades on these forums, it's impossible for a Moderator to mediate a trade effectively without reading your personal messages (something they cannot do and will never be able to), but if you build up a reputation for being an unscrupulous buyer/seller and are non-communicative you may receive actions against your account.
