Vintage player is back in the game
Galvatron and 4 others reacted to Mr Dellski for a topic
'Vintage player is back in the game' 1973 Vintage Yep, that is me after around 25 yrs away 😶 Wanted to introduce myself and say hi as it is the way 👋 Airsoft was left behind a long time ago (mid-90s at a guess) as life just kinda took over and other stuff took over as 'hobbies' such as sportsbikes, cars, airguns, clubs, mortgages and girls took over. Missed it though and being a regular down at Crawley Surplus Store for the airgun side pas couple years, couldn't help but notice all the awesome RIFs and just how much they have come along. Enter The Sportsman's Association, as unlike years ago, a defence is now a thing. Subsequestly a Marui HK416 Delta Custom NGRS was soon in the bag 😎 Bug is back in a big way. Only so much fun plinking away at home and causing mayhem with the missus with the little while spherical objects being found "everywhere" 🤣 - so needed to find a local site to me to play properly. The nearest one is Epsom's Incursion CQB (20 mins drive) where I got my UKARA defence sorted a year back. Double defence it is then and have renewed the SA this year as it can only be a good thing. Loving it and over the past year have increased my collection (and serial fiddled with extensively) a Marui Mk18 Mod.1 GBB (all that is left standard are the receivers, outer barrel and buffer tube.) - my favourite. Have also added a Marui MP7A1 GBB which has also been fiddled with, a Marui MP5A5 NGRS and more recently a GBLS DAS GDR-15 CQB (2022 updated version) as it is a bit different - just a Type A buffer added to that, Magpul furniture and a Huey on the top. Pistols I've acquired a few already too, Marui Glock19 G4, Marui HK45, Marui M1911A1, an EMG TTI Pit Viper. And my favourite, a Marui Gold Match. That has had huge fiddlement .. just the frame and grip are original, everything else is LA Capa Customs / Airsoft Masterpiece. Love it. Have quite a lot of spare parts kicking around! So that is where I'm at, all the above is in my insta (https://www.instagram.com/mrde11ski/) , well and truly back in it and having ball. Cheers, Dell5 points -

Are you attempting to sell stuff as an intermediary ?, or wanting advice on kit. Where are you located, if your in the USA it's unlikely anyone will trade with you, too many risks, & are you aware this is an airsoft only site, while some members use some real steel attachments, uses are limited due to importation laws. Please give a better explanation as your post comes across like poorly written spam, in which case your time here will be brief 😏3 points

https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/28438-bulldog-m4pg-ris-airsoft-gun-u I assume this was a JBBG "special" that the OP paid for. https://www.justbbguns.co.uk/bulldog-m4pg-ris-airsoft-gun/ When I could buy the same bundle (non-two tone), brand new for less money, why would I pay for this? Make it make sense please.2 points

As above. If you're trying to sell stuff then I doubt you'll get much luck here. Partly as postage from across the pond will eat up any savings made, but mostly because your post looks like it was written by a dyslexic 4 year old2 points -
You'll most likely need to experiment a little with different springs, however it's worth trying what you have to start with if you just swop out the cylinder. Not all M100 springs are equal (you don't say what brand yours is). The ones you often receive with stock guns are poorer quality, some brands use stronger springs in order to compensate for poor compression/airseals. Perhaps a M110 together with a 1/2 cylinder good place to start. Message me and I'll sort you out.2 points

Thanks Colin, I've spoken to AK2M4 and a couple of xt springs are on the way. Hopefully this is all that is needed to rectify the power loss.1 point -

G&G Warthog upgrades
Egon_247 reacted to Colin Allen for a topic
The springs fitted to new guns are generally not of great quality and can lose power after initial use. From experience, G&G guns tend to have varied springs in them. The XT springs from AK2M4 are very good and very consistent.1 point -
I had a more genuine sniper experience yesterday at Worthing Airsoft than I think I've had in a while. We played a long, multiple objective game in the morning, as they have the past few game days and I've been enjoying this, and I took up a position overwatching a pathway with my KJW m40a5. I lay in position for about 2 hours, watching movements in the distance and not shooting at all as my team pushed up to the checkpoint in front of my position, so I decided to get up and move because I was getting cold lying in the dirt. As soon as I pushed up, everyone on my team in front of me and around me got hit and I decided to go back to my previous position. Last hour of the game I went through all 3 of my mags holding that path, as it then got very busy. Had to pick my shots, because in cold weather the cooldown effect of my gas magazines is amplified and if I shoot too quickly the power will plummet. It's an interesting complication, but I would much rather it get warmer so my rifle performs to its best! I think the only thing that could've made the experience more genuine is if nobody pushed up the path the whole game and also if I pissed myself and had to lie in it, but fortunately that didn't happen 😂 Didn't play in the afternoon. Only had 5 hours sleep the previous night and with my current diet and exercise regime that is about half of what I should be getting, so I was really tired and I wasn't that bothered with dealing with the cooldown challenges of my rifle all day. Once my m14 socom is sorted I'll probably use that until it warms up a little, but most of my collection are gas guns and will have similar issues at the moment.1 point

Spent some time testing the mag catch today as I wont get to play untill next month. 2 full BB loads (about 120 per mag) through it with the box mag and no sign of the gas block popping out , where as before you'd get half a dzen shots before it jumped out. Seems to be sorted by the new mag catch.1 point

no , had to source that from overseas , it’s a clone but absolutely spot on , steel legs , fully adjustable and takes down like the genuine/original LOGA version . Once the kit is complete I shall refoam the case to be a bit more like the original issued set. RS: good read here on the real one , https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/new-to-me-hk-psg1-very-detailed-overview-inside.222325/1 point -
Tokyo Marui Scope on GBBR - Great Idea or Expensive Mistake...?
Nick G reacted to JimFromHorsham for a topic
Someone offered me a TM PSG1 scope for my VFC and whilst it’d look the part I do like to shoot the things too and I don’t think the TM one would last 5 minutes on there , optically it’s shite as well 😂 for not much more money I picked up a Schimdt & Bender 6x42 (£125 vs £175) so not exactly clone correct but you can’t win them all 🤪 , dressed with the classic yellow front cover and a rubber eye cup if you squint it looks the part . if I can find some Stanag ring mounts and lose the Picatinny for a fair price I’ll be a happy boy1 point -
I think that's a wife thing, 20 minutes tinkering with a gun & they get all whiney, but when they've got a project that requires all your waking hours, no issues then lol1 point

Just a few bits for me as I'm hoping to get out a bit more this year having been doing life stuff most of last year, a Crye SPS frag pouch (the inserts mean it can carry everything from pistol mags to 12g shells) and a replica scalar leap aimpoint mount for my MCX(the holy warrior version) and the build quality on that is amazing 👌1 point -
Is this a serious question? "185 dB of sound pressure at 1m" That's instant, permanent, hearing damage and tinnitus, plus traumatic brain injury. Wanting to use one "in airsoft games" is a great argument for why you shouldn't be able to get your hands on one. Frankly, I'm not even happy with Mk5 bangs in game, given the foreseeable risk of one going off right next to someone's head. Mk 7 and above have a 20 metre safe distance, for reasons that should be ear-bleedin' obvious.1 point

I have just been browsing your classified section and the "This advert is COMPLETED!" is a little confusing when browsing - I managed to find another topic asking the obvious question - "Does this mean the item is sold?", with the answer of course being that is does. It is a little ambiguous however especially as the "uncompleted" tag comes with a description saying it just means it hasn't been bumped. So maybe "completed" means it has been bumped?... This along with still being able to message the seller and the items still appearing in the search results (why do they?) all added up to making it difficult to know what it meant. So maybe a similar message at the top of the screen to the uncompleted tag that explains that the item has been sold/traded etc would be useful.1 point

I happen to know some American manufacturers for quality sights, accessories, barrels, lots of stuff but small, in-house manufacturing trying to complete with the likes of holosun trijicon Magpul but I don't know how much air softer are willing to spend...but these are actual work accessories. I wanna know how they operate on the field, QCB, or long distance (as far as is possible)... May I suggest: cyelee calf or wolf series rmr or micro red dot. Features shake awake technology and auto off after 5 min rest. Range from 80 bucks to 250. durable as trijicon rmr. Or any of the at3tactical.com Reddot scopes and sights for Under 300 and for 120 you can get a durable 12 brightness with hogue armor and riser in full or co witness and auto on for under 180...lasers sights and scopes on here too. DaggerDefense is a vet owned optics manufacturer with multiple reticle option on there optics for decent quality and clarity. Many have said the SIG Romero3 on wish is the exact same as the real thing @66usd...but buy at your own risk...other good American manufacturing ideas may be to call Francis Tuttle votech school in OKC,OK and offer a bulk rate proposal for distribution. They do CNC machining, cad, welding and any metal work you could pay for...let me know if any of these sound good or work...also I have an AT3 reddot if anybody is willing to try it on a setup. I'm not really worried about it I wanna upgrade. Just need notes.0 points
