Pretty sure I’ll be ruined after 3 or 4 days on the slopes, probably not helped by being a first & last lift kind of guy. But that’s what the apres ski for right? Recovery beers are definitely a thing. Think we’ll fly as there’s not much in it cost wise, four of us would be cheaper to drive but two works out even and flying would be less hassle and I also wouldn’t need to buy snow chains. Did the ski train down to Bourg St Maurice last time I went and while it was easy and cost effective, it was just a regular train that went to snowy places, so half the passengers had board/ski bags as well as a suitcase and nowhere to put them. It was carnage. Hope they’ve got more storage space nowadays. That said it was great to get on a train after work and be in Bourg for breakfast before getting the first lift of the day, maximised piste time that’s for sure.2 points

MOLLE the start of the tacticoolLozart and one other reacted to The Waco Kid for a topic Pouch canteen carrier utility An excellent bit of kit. This pouch occupies the columns by two rows of pals webbing. With the top flap tucked away it will hold a 1 quart canteen, cup, stove stand with room for after maker lid if you don’t want to use foil. With the top flap in place this pouch will hold five Issue M16 magazines. It also has a draw cord to cinch the top in to secure single items. Earlier versions of US Canteen covers were used as magazine carriers so this is a logical development. Kip mat foam can be used to line it as an NOD case and several forms made padded liners for that purpose. The two external pockets are velcro fastened and are big enough to hold a small dressing, folded spork or drink satchets. The AITES system was included an upgraded version with an extract outside pocket and is lined for a bit more protection.2 points

Load-Out / Loadout Picture topicCrackCommandoUnit1972 and one other reacted to The Waco Kid for a topic Operation Just ‘Cos 1992 In 1992 a cartel of confectionary smugglers seized control of a small island off the south coast of England. To restore order and ensure American tourists were not over charged for Mr Whippies the US Army’s 99th infantry division “the Twinkie eaters” were deployed by passenger ferry from Lymington. When the Pentagon realised they had mistakenly reacted to a screen play by Anthony Minghella a truce was negotiated. The cartel would supply 4000 Fab’s in exchange for temporary custody of Heather Locklear.2 points

Show me your abominationsAlimcd reacted to PureSilver for a topic Is it even a real abomination if you don't hack it up a bit? ARMY Armament R45 "V6", customised with "V6" barrel porting and slide cuts, custom-milled mount for ACM Shield RMS, and a Nova trigger. Since these photos were taken it got an ARMY magazine release that's closer to the VB one, and I've flattened the grips. Still needs a new hammer, a dust cover rail, and battleship grey paintjob.1 point

Work in progress, BRT CAR15-SD 300 blk replica. This gun encompasses all the best bits of various guns imo; Its a sub-gun / PDW - my fave size. MP5SD vibes - just love MP5s. Retractable stock - again MP5. AR controls - ergonomics. 20rd mags - easy to shoot when prone. 300 subsonics - cool as F in real steel.1 point
