The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Sounds to me like someone's just a whinny little bitch who loves to complain and blame their shortcomings on everyone else5 points -
Can I just dip in and say I just fucking love tagging a paintball mask wearing, lycra clad, drum mag toting, hpa pistol kid. It just gives me a boner. Real cap gbbr for the win.3 points

Justbbguns offer 1000 shots or twenty minutes. Whichever comes first. 😂2 points -
I've got one on pre-order. But, I'm a bit of a Silverback slag so they could release a steaming poop and I'd still buy one even if it were a wall hanger. Planning on using mine as a DMR, but we'll see how it feels once it arrives. Biggest issue for me so far is the battery compartment, or rather the lack of one. It's unable to fit a Titan battery in it, which is a bit of a shame given it's a Bullpup, and usually the space above the barrel is used for batteries. First mod will probably be a battery relocation cable!2 points

It's great that you actually got the gun back, but as others have said - name and shame. 10 months not even opening the parcel is a really dick move.2 points -
Entry Level Case/Bag
jonesy17 and one other reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
I use a Guarder gun bag which can hold a rifle, smg and pistol, along with a couple of extra pockets for mags etc. It has straps for carrying like a holdall or on yoyr back like a rucksack. If you're going to be using public transport I'd advise against a hard gun case as I found it attracted more attention, usually from pissed up office workers who thought they were funny asking "what you got in there, a gun?" Although the looks on their face when I snapped back "no, three of them" was often quite amusing2 points -

+eleventy for naming the rogue. As to the gun, maybe spooge some silicone lube up the nozzle and then blow it out, to lube the piston ring. Other than that, get out and play. Bear in mind that a "new" gun could have spent months in warehouses, shipping crates and shelves before getting into your hands.1 point

Help identifying gbb ak magazines

I can't tell you what they are, but I can confirm they are definitely NOT TM mags, since that's the GBBR AK I have and my mags don't look at all like that.1 point -
Airsoft Artisan L85 LEI Rail

Yes, they will from next month apparently and will be for all brands.1 point -
Wow, that's a shit story, please please name the so called tech that's monumentally fucked you about so that nobody else gets suckered by him, maybe you should be thankful that he actually didn't open it, he sounds like a 'tard. As for the rif itself, sounds like you packaged it very very well, good job too, if you've opened it up found no exterior moisture or any signs of oxidation on the alloy parts, then I wouldn't worry too much, it should be fine to use, or at least be in the same condition you sent it off in. Hope that helps1 point

In a freak accident yesterday at a local wedding, a photographer was injured when a huge lump of cheddar landed on him. To be fair, the people who were being photographed did try to warn him.1 point -

You are right, I liked the original better when finished too. Gonna grab another one this year1 point -
No, absolutely not, or I'd have said lower muzzle energy. I mean slower cycling, slide binding, more friction between almost any related component, less gas efficiency etc etc.1 point

It used to happen quite easily, the plastic has gotten better over the years. The 'joy' of not-shiny plastic will usually be quickly lost through the annoyance of lowered performance. Unless you seriously know what you're doing or get very lucky with airsoft tolerances.1 point

After 3 days without eating and sleeping, here is my fully Zenitco-ed GHK AK74 with full steel internals and steel barrel. Eveything upgradable is upgraded. Parts list will be too long. Weighs a ton. Almost like the real thing. Barrel is a pain in the arse to change btw And here's what it used to look like. Wouldn't say it's the same gun1 point -
If you use full face goggles, then both the goggle and spare lenses need to be protected Many ‘premium’ goggles come with their own soft bag, I’ve also made a few microfibre ‘bags’ with large Poundland microfibres. Just fold a large microfibre in half, sew all but one side and add a carry loop. Then I have a soft cover for goggles whether they are in a gear bag or on a car seat, and a handy cloth to wipe off Particularly when I was photographing events having this microfibre bag hanging off my belt ready for a lens wipe (goggle or camera) and when off the field I could also hang my goggles off my belt and in the microfibre bag1 point

What is the freakiest thing that ever happened to you? I was sat at my PC, back in the old days of CRT screens. I'd been working away at the computer that long that I didn't notice that it had gotten dark and that the only light in the room was from the screen. IDK how long I'd been working as I was designing a website set of scripts, happened to look away and the whole room was pitch back and all I could see in large white letters was "INVALID INPUT" , I looked at the screen again as if to check it wasn't on my CRT then looked again to the side in to the darkness of the room, there it was again "INVALID INPUT" . It shook me up a bit, I switched the desk lamp on and carefully checked again over my shoulder, nothing, just the room... IDK WTF happened like was my imagination or because i'd watched the Matrix earlier that evening but it freaked me out a bit.1 point

Rif from 'storage'.
Rogerborg reacted to ghostwalker for a topic
So nearly 10 months ago i sent my KWA ERG off to a tech to be serviced. Fast forward and various stories and scenarios later and i finally have the rif back at home. I sent it away wrapped in bubble wrap, protected with polystyrenne sheets to hold it in place and then wrapped securely in a cardbaord box wrapped in bin bags to help weather proof the box for its journey. Receiving it back today. It's still in exactly the same packaging and hasn't even been opened, not even the plastic bag wrap. So my question is. Is there aything i should be aware of that could have added to te minor issues with the rif (it probably needed a new hop rubber and maybe a gearbox clean down but nothing more). I am going to guess its been stored indoors or at worst in a garage, theres no signs of damp or damage to the original packaging so i am hoping there shouldn't be any other issues. But i am asking before charging a battery and testing it0 points
