G&G combat machine loadout?
Airsoft_Mr B and one other reacted to Sitting Duck for a topic
Not bothered with any real loadout just yet but I never look good in anything really might buy a really really expensive all black ninja mofo loadout then go play midnight skirmishes so nobody can see my expsensive loadout (that would be black jeans & black sweater/hoodie btw but you'd never know) should get some rig n sling perhaps but I will always have that scruffy messed up "just dragged through a hedge backwards" style whatever I wear I guess2 points -
G&G combat machine loadout?
JamesAirsofterAgent and one other reacted to Qlimax for a topic
I don't think there's a particular load out for a specific weapon. Load outs are more for where your playing or personal preference. If I am playing indoor CQB I'll wear my black load out. Woodland I'll wear my Atacs FG or MTP, maybe my DPM. The choice is yours dude. Some people just wear jeans and a hoodie and crack on I with their day.2 points -

Making a decent loadout/setup
Ian_Gere and one other reacted to Mr Monkey Nuts for a topic
You are best off avoiding any form of vest/webbing/plate carrier until you have things you need to put in it. Wearing a plate carrier for a single spare hi cap makes you look like a twit. A good pair of surplus boots, and a pair of surplus trousers from your local army surplus shop (google it) or Ebay. I got an Olive, Tan and Black fleece from decathlon for £4 each, they go with most loadouts and are not too bulky now the weather is changing. Gear is a cycle, you start with nothing, then you buy everything! loadout with 6 hicaps 3000 bbs, 3litres of water and wonder why your knackered after 2 hours, then you ditch it all and return to running mags in your pockets and then you load up again, each time the circle rotates, the price of the gear gets exponentially more expensive.2 points -
That and for the sake of four pence, I'd rather give my custom to the people who were the cheapest initially because frankly prices promises are a cop out - 'we'll rip off who we can by charging more than most people because no-one will notice, but if you call us on it and we'll give you a discount to shut you up'... It feels to me like its cheating - although I work in an industry where there's an eternal cycle of price promising going on between competitors and it irritates me so I may be misguided.2 points

Drakelow Tunnels
RabidNinja64 and one other reacted to jcheeseright for a topic
the tunnels are huge, the airsoft section is only a small bit of the whole network so there's no worry about bumping into a bunch of ghost hunters... one thing I will advise though is taking a torch because it's FUCKING DARK down there.2 points -
Forget the paintball mask - it will give you problems with fogging. Have a read of this.2 points

I took the plunge and went for a Silverback one with 4 midcaps. Just paid £180 and will pay the remainder of £70 on Tuesday. Not a bad deal for either side. I think if I had pressed harder I could have scalped him, but tbh i'm not suffering from walletitis at the moment so there was no need.2 points

M4 Sights...
team flex and one other reacted to mr-bodycounter for a topic
As far as sights go you have your four main types: Iron Sights - Standard issue and come on most of your weapons. Usually an aperture at the rear sight and a pin at the other end. Cheap, effective, durable and don't need batteries. Reflex Sights - (Often known as red dots from video games) Not to go too sciencey on you but they work on reflecting a form of dot or cross-hair onto a piece of glass or plastic. An advantage of them is that you can comfortably keep both eyes open and see through your sights. Can be cheap or very expensive and run on batteries. Holographic Sights - I know you speak of an eotech replica (it is not a real one most likely as they are very expensive) but that sight is unlikely (99% certain it is not unless it is hundreds of pounds) an actually holographic sight. The reason is holographic sights work on holograms to give a supposedly more accurate sight picture and reduce parallax (the problem of having two eyes in two different places), they are very accurate for real steal fire arms but not that necessary for airsoft as an airsoft gun does not give real accuracy comparable to a real M4. The sight you are viewing is probably a reflex sight as sights are classified by how they work and although it looks like a holographic sight from video games it is just visually the same and is scientifically no different to the standard to another reflex sight. Scopes - These are quite simply for your long range shooting and are good due to their magnification. They will have numbers in the title and this is how they work: for example a 3-9x50E sight means it has magnification levels from 3-9 (A single number means fixed magnification). The 50 refers to the object lens size (in mm) which refers to how much light is let in. Some sights have an E at the end and some do not, the E refers to whether the sight has electric illumination of the cross-hair (which again requires batteries). As far as my recommendation goes I would say for your average M4 your iron sights are more than sufficient, however, if you plan to go for an expensive scope/reflex sight that can break (which is basically everything except iron sights) get a speed BB shield as they will protect your investment (do not get a cheap chinese clone as they will give up after 1-2 shots in cqb). Hope I helped and just remember to zero any sight you get in your garden before you skirmish with it!2 points -

wot - whole ris or ris covers ??? bummer to strip off - ahem dodgy ground painting but if I was paying for 2 tone I want to know exactly what is sprayed or I will go to somebody else where I might be told/discuss what gets painted etc..... eg: ooh sir that is only 49.5% orange/green/blue - yeah well paint the friggin flash hider you leave the receivers alone, paint the sights as well if ya want well I don't know about that sir you having a laugh what you charging me £10, £15, £20 to blow over just a bit of plastic - ok no worries I will maybe go elsewhere or buy another gun from somwhere else instead well it is a lot of messing about.... well move over m8 I'll bloomin' remove them if you can't, you plonk on table, spish spish n refit when dry - not advance nasa rocket science is it ??? all down to if they really want money/business really - yes easier all round to get UKARA but then the retailer has to decide if they want to go extra mile for customer service or allow somebody else to gain that sale - and perhaps repeat business from new player no biggie but like I said different places will paint different areas to get near 51% some peoples 51% is different to others but even if whole ris is sprayed you could just remove and ahem customise it - buyers risk btw1 point -

team flex reacted to Sitting Duck for a topic
not gonna bother getting into a row about this but could find lots of guns with 2 tone ris covers but black black ris my src is one example - remove ris covers = black front end orange pistol grip and crane stock etc... truth is we will never know unless somebody allready bought a CM18 in 2-tone unless you ask and to be fair not all places will paint same stuff it is down to their peception and decision in the end but I did say enquire/ring/txt/message/email etc.....1 point -
Soon as I can go somewhere where I'm allowed to shoot them and take video. Unfortunately the air force brass frowns on folks taking pictures or video on base. Also on popping off airbursting pyrotechnic devices. But yeah, probably going to a skirmish next weekend where I can sort it all out.1 point

Making a decent loadout/setup
team flex reacted to NH Shooter for a topic
It's basically a strap, with pockets... Every straight has a pocket and every pocket has a Carbon Fibre insert to make it rigid... Then it's riveted together. It has 3 sections... The middle one goes behind the molle, the bottom one folds up, in front of the molle and the top one folds over and down... That has all the gubbins on... It stays in that configuration with velcro.1 point -

They do... But that means clips or velcro and noise and messing about... And in a rush you'd struggle to get one quick seeing as they would rattle about in there unless it was full... These are silent and always in the same place...1 point -

almurry reacted to Richie Boyle for a topic
I would rather buy over the counter anyway and in this case it was the cheaper option. I personally wouldn't have asked for a price promise since it means very little and there could be a fault. Over the counter means you could return it and have a replacement within 24 hours. A few pence or pounds isn't much to pay for peace of mind1 point -

GBBR or AEGs? Opinions?

GBBR or AEGs? Opinions?
JamesAirsofterAgent reacted to BBrotherwood for a topic
All going well I should getting a GBBR L85 tomorrow. Having watched a fair few videos showing people fixing faults with them over time I feel I would actually stand a chance of solving issues with one. I still have not got a clue how an AEG works despite trying to work it out. Plus the recoil looks proper1 point -

DX115FALCON reacted to RiflemanAllen for a topic
Didnt have a good time with JustBBguns. Think i got unlucky. Parents ordered a DoubleEagle M4 aeg since i was only 17 so i couldnt have got one myself obviously. We also had to pay £15 extra for the attachments that should come with the gun, which was silly. just for garden shooting with my brother. But it came broke. Couldn't send it back because of certain circumstances. Eventually after a year i just sold it to some guy as a wall decoration. Was a shame.1 point -

G&G or G&P
Sitting Duck reacted to Baz JJ for a topic
The problem with questions of this type is that few people have both rifles so you wont get a fair comparison. If players have G&G, like me, you will get an opinion of the G&G, which in my experience is good. However, I have no experience of the Enforcer, so cant reliably comment.1 point -
I think they have it under control now, even if it does burn out you will have it under warranty. Just a point though, it is £50+ quid more expensive, if you are good with a soldering iron you could do all the upgrades for much cheaper1 point

I might be a little late to this thread but one of my mates (who's a real enthusiast for Soviet kit) has a Silverback PP-19, and it is l-o-v-e-l-y to fire and use. The mags fit in a Chicom style chest rig's pouches and it is indeed very accurate for a stock weapon. It's lasted longer than his Dboys AKS-74U and he's run the PP-19 for about 3 years without problems.1 point

Two tone coming off??
Airsoft-Ed reacted to Longshot for a topic
Why does it matter! There's no law against owning an IF or a RIF. There is a law against manufacturing a RIF, though I doubt anyone could accuse you of slowly rubbing paint off to do this. That said, if you've ever played airsoft then you're basically immune to prosecution even if you just painted the whole thing black on purpose anyway.1 point -
What are you listening to?
JB72510 reacted to Airsoft-Ed for a topic
I've been hooked on Alter Bridge's 3rd album (ABIII, imaginative or what?), and their guitarist's solo album (All I Was) for months. Their 4th album (Fortress) was just released and I'm trying to like it, but I just don't. The only track I'm enjoying is 'Waters Rising', because the guitarist is on lead vocals and it reminds me of his ultra epic solo album stuff. I'm actually starting to prefer him over the actual vocalist. Mark Tremonti is the guitarist btw, Myles Kennedy is the vocalist; he's fairly famous from also being in Creed, and doing quite a lot of work with other musicians, Slash being one to note. Lindsey Stirling's solo album caught my attention a while ago as well, I'm finding that fairly epic. Which is weird considering my music taste is largely hard rock, nu metal and heavy metal type stuff. But I've been thinking of trying to do an airsoft video montage around 'Moon Trance' but I don't understand YouTube's stupid copyright policies well enough to risk it just getting removed.1 point
