It's not a case of what I want to hear. lol... I'm just relaying my experience. What I actually want to hear is "your order was shipped and will be with you tomorrow, and here's a generous discount to say sorry about being a tool." I'm glad that others may be alright... But to be fair, the mark of a company in my mind isn't how they operate when everything is fine, it's how they deal with their own failings... Which in this case, they have royally boned. I've felt the need to take it through PayPal now to try and get a response. Such a useless company.2 points -

I remember that i is a valid way to hold a long gun in CQB situations if you have to go there with it. I can't remember if it was the AK or the M16 (with full stock), but I definitely saw it taught like that to real soldiers. Searching for photos...1 point

. Now thats most likely down to the vest not the lack of MOLLE. As is the case with many rigs, even MOLLE, you need one that suits you and if you don't no amount of MOLLE will help that I have also tended to note that people will usually put the pouches on a MOLLE rig basically in the same place as non-MOLLE rigs but with little change.. for instance I be the location of mag pouches on a low profile chest rig will most likely be the same as they are on my M83 chest rig. Pouches on my MOLLE belt rig are basically in the same places as they would be on PLCE As said thats the point of this thread One point I feel hasn't be pointed out yet is that fact non MOLLE rigs do tend to be lighter and have a lower profile as you don't have the layer of material used the attach items. However, for plate carriers I would probably suggest MOLLE, especially if they're being issued as you don't need to provide different carriers for different roles1 point

Fair enough. only done it once myself (got the gun twotone for a silly price), then had to carefully scrape the twotone off, as it was metal and using chemicals would have removed the paint under it. looks like it's been fairly well used, but I no what so ever intention to sell that particular gun, so I dont mind1 point -
Obsession with MOLLE
Nickona reacted to Mr Monkey Nuts for a topic
No we can't that's the point of the tread, both options are available and both have advantages and disadvantages, you look at your requirements and chose your gear to reflect it, for some a Mini Mav for 3 mags is plenty, for others a 1961 rig is required. Just because one is different doesn't make it any less valid. Molle has the advantage of being modular and can easily and quickly be changed to your personal requirements, the SA vest for example has the advantage of being able to carry a large amount of gear conveniently, comfortably and in the right place when you need it. It really does boil down to your personal choice.1 point -

Help on how to get better accuracy
Samurai reacted to jcheeseright for a topic
try heavier ammo first. don't change anything else, just put 0.25g BBs in it and notice the difference immediately. 0.20g ammo is frankly rubbish and only useful for chrono and extreme CQB where accuracy past 20' doesn't matter.1 point -

Not necessarily If you've found a bit of kit that holds up like something £50 or so more expensive, kudos to you. You've beaten the people who shelled out the extra cash for a product which does the same job as something cheaper, but has a label1 point

Condor are average, they're unlikely to fall apart from airsoft (although stories have surfaced form the US of that happening) but for the price you can get better.. they're probably better than Bulle but not as good as WAS Flyye are probably one of the best clone gear makes out there.. I've had a fair bit and hold up incredibly well. As a testament I was talking to a guy from the SANDF who has just gotten back from the Congo and he said that Flyye is by far the most popular brand for private purchase, even being used by the Recces (SA SF) Out of those two I would easily go with Flyye!1 point

When buying a rebranded Umarex gun, a fair amount of the price is for the H&K trademark. I think OP would be better off buying a G&G CM M4 as It's trusted by many members of the forum- plus they are made of a really sturdy nylon fibre plastic, much better than any Chinese monkey metal1 point -
Good to meet you yesterday Lambster, that ARU loadout looks good Quick hot debrief on the site: As always well run, the safezone is one of the best I have been to, nice big hall with tables and pleanty of space to sort your kit out. The site itself is good a real mix of large and small rooms from wards to small offices, the team have done a great job with the longer corridors placing cover to break them up. The games were well run and marshalling was spot on from what I saw, especially considering this was the opening game. Its a big (really big) site so regen walks can be like playing woodland not that this is an issue at all, and the games we played were all pretty good and ran for a good length of time. I also like that the first game was run so that you found your way around the site. The only problems we had on the day were: 1- the thunderflashes didnt ignite, it wasnt just me everyone had the issue, it was an issue with the strikers, so they could be lit with spare strikers. The guys were really good about this and I believe that Felix is sending the whole batch back so this shouldnt be an issue for any other games. 2- the site can become a bit linear, to get around choke points it can be a very long way around, again not a real problem and we quickly adapted our style to compensate. Imagine playing airsoft at your local hospital - all of it and you will get the feel, oh and I think I only got lost twice lol. The site is certainly well worth a visit and we had a great day, we will certainly be back later this year.1 point

Obsession with MOLLE
Mr Monkey Nuts reacted to jcheeseright for a topic
I can fill a 1961 pretty easily. I don't use high caps so 4-6 midcaps in 2-3 of the front pouches, 2 smokes in the other. Pistol in the right side radio pocket, radio in the left. 2 pea grenades in the grenade pockets, extra pea grenades in the left side utility/battery pouch, snacks and spare ammo in the right side utility. 2 pistol mags up front and a lens cleaning cloth inside one of the small pockets on the front of the magazine pouches. No belt-kit required, bottle of water in a trouser pocket or a 1.5l bladder inside the lining of the rig if it's going to be a hot day. If I'll be out for longer than 3-4 hours I'll attach a pack to the back of it with a 3l bladder and various other bits and bobs to make life more comfortable :-) That'll generally do me for a 3-4 hour game, top stuff up if needed at lunchtime and out for the same again in the afternoon. As for the chimp wearing a chest rig with nothing on it... Some people are just special! I understand entirely that a couple of high caps and a bottle of water will 'do', but that's just not how I roll. I don't fill the pouches for the sake of filling them, everything I carry in a pouch has a use and if I find I'm not using it it gets ditched!1 point -
to get a thread on that specific gun you have to buy a replacement outer barrel. they are available if you search around. you cant put a surpressor on it without im afraid, my daughter has that exact VFC HK UMP1 point

Obsession with MOLLE
JackHG reacted to Mr Monkey Nuts for a topic
This is something I have been debating with myself and the forum, ultimately it boiled down to how much do I need to carry? And in all seriousness how anyone can fill a 1961 webbing for a days normal skirmish is beyond me. I found that 2 hi caps and a midcap is more than enough fire power and that can easily fit in combat / pcs shirt pockets. Obviously they are brilliant if you are loading out with the full 8 low caps for mil sim or for 24+ hour games where you carry your full water and scram supplies, but for the majority of weekend "have a bit of fun" skirishers all they need to carry are a few mags, some water, and a mars bar. Lugging a full webbing is ridiculous for that sort of situation, where a cheep Chinese molle vest does the job very well. I have a SA vest and have had to remove the large side pouches because they will never get used, if I could find something to fill them they get so much in the way I cant shoot, comfortably or get at my pistol, but if I had a three day trek with minimal combat it would be ideal. Tis evolution of design, idealism vs practicality, its the same reason the big boys are not still using flintlocks. I witnessed something the other day that really dented my faith in airsoft and the type of people it attracts, all his gear on a belt kit, (which by itself is fine) but then wearing a condor chest rig with no molle pouches attached and the belt not attached, just wearing it for the sake of wearing it .....1 point -
