BRITISH AIRSOFT CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT.....
jeffery7466 and 5 others reacted to Qlimax for a topic
So it has been brought to my attention that their are a number of people which believe that I am now a Dishonest member of the airsoft community and UKARA but the steps taken were no different to what an investigative journalist would do. Also a quote has been made to me which I will put to the public and them to make their own minds up. Is it wrong for the police to act as a child on web chats to catch Pedos !!!!!!6 points -
WW1 airsoft 2 trench systems with open ground between them. Set up machineguns behind each, unable to hit opposing machinegun position but with the opposing trench just in range. 2 teams with bolt action rifles.... The game would last 4 years without any real clear winner, but to improve chances of recruiting people to play, we'll tell them it'll be over by Christmas To win the game you just have to blame the Germans at the peace talks afterwards.3 points

Keep calm.... The more relaxed your mind is, you will benefit from: Improved decision making and awareness Improved stamina (red mist zaps energy like you wouldn't believe) Improved understanding and communication But most of all keeping calm makes you look like one hell of a badass! Imagine a situation where you walk round a corner suspecting there are multiple targets. You go into a panicked hysteria and attempt to spray the entire room whilst looking away behind you because you are scared of getting hit in the face. Alternatively (and you can even use a pistol for this as apposed to an aeg) you can step out quickly but calmly. Your brain will automatically process the targets so acquisition is easier and faster. You get 4 targets in 4 rounds and the guys you hit were left looking panicked themselves! They walk away beliving you are a cyborg lol. This is made twice as badass if you use a revolver and you enter the realms of true badass motherfuckery if you do this with a knife! I have with my own eyes seen a friend literally walk through 12 guys with aegs whilst he took them all out with dual pistols. Casual but extremely effective and utterly badass3 points -
BRITISH AIRSOFT CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT.....
Airsoft-Ed and one other reacted to BrightCandle for a topic
Its quite apparent Qlimax that this is entirely their fault, that they are lying about the sorts of checks they do and hence are not sufficiently defending their membership from scrutiny by the government if appropriate checks are done. You know its funny, we have had a lot of organisations blaming the whistleblower recently, seems to me these guys don't get it, when you get caught doing wrong its usually best to fix the darn problem rather than try and deflect at the whistleblower who exposed you. BAC is in the wrong here, it is not checking players sufficiently and no store should accept or sell to BAC members anymore as its impossible to determine if they really are Airsoft players. Its really that simple, its for them to fix it or disappear.2 points -

He only has to prove if the police come knocking and they are only gonna come knocking if he has used it in appropriately. Which by that point it wont matter where he got it. The law doesnt state how many times you have to have been to be a skirmisher. Also the vcra law is to do with the sale, importation and manufacture of rifs & ifs not the purchasing. This is why the ukara was set up to protect retailers. It is not illegal to buy a rif with out ukara or such like. Simply being a skirmisher is proof enough. Just difficult to prove. If an offence is commited they have to prove you commited an offence and that you sold it illegally. As sites recordbwho plays there then thst is enough proof. If his friend knows hes been to a skirmish then there is no offence commited as he has bought it for the intended use of skirmishinģ.2 points

Would love to play a game in an airplane graveyard - especially with access to the planes themselves. Intense CQB with some areas of mid range combat - would be a beast of a map to play.2 points -
Both of the above are wrong. It is illegal to sell a gun not buy one. If your friend knows you which i assume he does as hes your friend and knows you will be playing airsoft then that is good enough defence in terms of the law. Its a thin line but buying and selling between friends who play isnt illegal as the selling party can prove they know them and that they play which is all th defense you need. As long as your mate can prove you play then its legal.2 points

Hi. I just want to point out that its WE not Well. I believe Well make a G36 lpeg (aeg) that is cheap rubbish, so make sure you are searching for a WE G36 and not a Well one As for a review, here is one: ( http://airsoftodyssey.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/we-g999c-review.html ) It applies to the compact model however the internals should be exactly the same, bar the barrel length and cylinder port. Drum mags are available from a few places though they are not always in stock. This site has a few at the moment: ( http://www.justbbguns.co.uk/product/70/Magazines/149/Rifle-Magazines/758/2300-ROUND-SR36 ) It will almost certainly fit, as long as the WE model takes regular G36 aeg mags (which it likely does). As for a scope, look around, there are tons of options. Personally I suggest something relatively cheap as it could get damaged on the field! Hope this helps! Andrew1 point -

Importing Parts From Asia
jeffery7466 reacted to Airsoft_Mr B for a topic
Internals wouldn't be a problem but it could be different for the receiver. I'd want to have a defence to be on the safe side before ordering from abroad. Since they are individual parts I don't think it matters if someone is paying you for them, as far as I know the VCRA concerns complete replicas. I agree it is a loophole, but there are quite a few already. I mean, there's nothing to really stop you buying an IF in the first place, because you could lie about your age. Somebody could just paint an orange gun black if they wanted. I don't think anyone has ever been arrested for illegal possession of one. If the whole idea was to stop violent crime, then all these criminals must be even more stupid than we think, because they can't even get a spray can. If you were a serious criminal you wouldn't rob banks and stuff with an imitation...stupid law but hey it isn't hard for a legitimate airsofter to get a defence so I'm not complaining.1 point -

There needs to be some good African games! Large light woodland area with plenty of vehicles and huts with a large militia group and some civ pop to prevent the SADF from just shooting on sight. Also a proper Rourkes drift would be good. Small number of troops with semi auto and bolt action against a massive force armed with melee weapons1 point -

goggles again
armysurplusandtoys reacted to Adam3088 for a topic
Either fake or a faulty batch maybe? No idea tbh. If you do decide to get some more goggles I cant recommend Revision Bullet Ants enough, got mine for under £20 as surplus (UK army drivers use them) and they've been brilliant, can even supposedly withstand a shotgun blast from 5m. Only two times they've fogged up badly was on a very warm, wet day when sitting in a small bunker, lack of air movement caused problems. If you do get a pair, rip out the foam filters before use, unless you're planning on spending time in a desert they do nothing except block airflow.1 point -

BRITISH AIRSOFT CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT.....
Rapid reacted to fivezerothree for a topic
A few things have come of this realisation; they don't have the facilities to check or verify anything. In fact they rely solely on UKARA defectors and Skirmish Sites to verify their site membership/regular skirmish attendance. So basically the BAC does nothing other than charge you and give you a plastic bloody card as all the work is already done for them. In super short, if you are eligible to become BAC 'verified' – you already have a defense and can save yourself the £8 a year.1 point -
BRITISH AIRSOFT CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT.....
CaptainSwoop reacted to Airsoft-Ed for a topic
They have blocked people for calling them out on data issues like this. Instead of addressing things properly they make up a half arsed, poorly written excuse, with made up statistics, that will tide over the majority of people, and block all the people who won't let it slide. I personally have no issues with selling RIFs to anyone at all. If they act like a dick with it, so what? They'd have only bought it from someone else anyway, or bought a two tone and painted it, or bought an air gun. Then they'll be let off anyway because there's a million and one loop holes they could've obtained a RIF through anyway. It is the principle of a defence that I stand by and that stops me from just becoming an underground black market gun launderer for the non-defence holding masses. The need for a defence is an utter waste of everyone's time and effort. But BAC are shitting on that principle by pretending they have all these things in place to legitimise it, when they clearly do not. If they did, then they wouldn't have had to make up those percentages they stated.1 point -

I'm surprised you didn't get a more emphatic version of this already: DO NOT USE WD40! Keep that stuff well away from any part of your gun. Petroleum-based lubes will degrade the rubber parts of your weapon, as Swoop mentioned. Earlier posters have covered everything, I just wanted to drop a +1 on WD40 thing.1 point -

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to TacMaster for a topic
You'd have to spend bloody ages painting if you want to achieve that effect with a brush/airbrush. If I were you I'd strip the entire gun down and get the pattern hydrographically applied, or maybe go for something more simple you can do with spray paint and stencils. This is what I did with my rifle using a can of brown Krylon, a can of black PlastiKote and a circles stencil: You can achieve a great look without really complex paint jobs and still be able to easily resell your rifle. You could even make your own stencils with card and a craft knife, and then apply it with Krylon spray paint (the best kind for painting stuff that needs to be non-reflective)1 point -

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to jeffery7466 for a topic
lol I remember my first game very well, I was crap, and I blame my made in China XM8 because it had a fake scope so no reference to aim with, and also I was AMAZING at Medal of Honour (the first one) so I must have had AMAZING tactical shooting skillz. But the most memorable thing was my newbie friend shot some pro-wannabe's 'real steel' Surefire torch and broke the front perspex during contact. He threatened us to pay him back or he'll sue or something like that. Also, I was pinned down behind a piece of cover and found some some metal boxes/containers laying nearby. So I proceeded to kick them out a bit to distract the enemy so I could make a run for it (I swear it seemed like a good idea at the time). The meal boxes/containers turned out to be some guy's MP5 mags... He was not happy.1 point -

I met one on Saturday, he was about 14 and he showed two really bad traits. Initially he was fine but as the games went on you could see how frustrated he was getting after failing to hit people. Its bad enough a guy on his first outing is screaming "call your hits" when he likely isn't very good at aiming, its worse as you watch him blind fire with BB's pinging off his shoulder and still he keeps on fighting. I can see why some sites ban young players, some of them lack the mental maturity to be humbled by their fellow players and they end up cheating and ultimately getting banned pretty quickly. Thankfully a vigilant marshal team dealt with him and he was my first know it all/hit nothing/cheating codsofter. His belief in his personal skills was so vast he couldn't see that he was a complete beginner with no skills at all.1 point -
