  1. The only good metal 1911's are CO2. Which you obviously wouldn't want to use on a TM base gun.
  2. Especially if you are working on a bolty, access to a chrono will make your life a lot easier. As mentioned above, spring power varies from manufacturer to manufacturer and even from spring to spring (by the same manufacturer) in some cases. For one of my AEG's I was getting 325fps on a M115, so an M120 should have given me 340fps. However buying a Nuprol M120 put me over 400.
  3. I'll just add, I love my CO2 pistols for winter use. I have 2 x ASG P-09's with upgraded inner barrels and buckings. They will shoot 5 x mags worth on one bulb at around 325fps and will hop anything I need to them to far and straight. However the mags themselves are super unreliable, I'm currently at 4 or 5 which are unusable due to leaks. At £30 a mag, that's definitely an issue. Also in 20C ambient temps, they shoot somewhere around the 370fps mark - making them too powerful for use in a skirmish during the warmer months. Any of the newer TM's should serve you well for most environments when using the right gas. If we're talking 100% stock, my favourite out of all the pistols I've ever owned is my TM Hi-Capa Gold Match. I left a mag outside in 4C for about three hours and it was able to rapidly shoot 30 rounds in a row with zero venting.
  4. Just in case it wasn't obvious why they're called "Hi-capa's"......

  5. Is it too wide or too long?
  6. I regret selling my Marushin Super Redhawk. Only six shots as it was a proper shell one but 300fps and adjustable hop.
  7. Then they should really do away with the "Licensed product of" markings.
  8. At the other end of the spectrum, I sometimes call hits only to realise a moment later it was likely some debris falling from the trees.
  9. They're an interesting shop. I got a pistol from them and it came straight from the WE factory, slide in one shipment and frame in the other.
  10. Good luck with that. They stopped making them some time ago.
  11. Why isn't there a Hi-Point airsoft replica ?

I'd totally have a springer one.

At $179 for a CF-380, could it be the first airsoft replica to cost more than the real-plastic?

Of course, everybody would want a Yeet Cannon.

      Sort of do want.

@Rogerborg - Even more of a case for it being spring powered!

Surely some of these Glocks are approaching RS price or higher. Especially like if with the GHK one, the mags are £40+.

  12. Oh airsofters never change. Some gems from yesterday: "Push forward!" - Screamed by the same few people who always seemed to be at the back of the crowd ? "I upgraded my gun to a 11.1 lipo" "I felt a hit from the side but took a look and there wasn't anyone there, so didn't call it. Then I got shot again and noticed there was someone hiding in a bush" Player: "Guys, I've just been hit by a sniper" Marshal: "Dead men don't talk" Player: "That doesn't count because I didn't say where he is"
  13. I don't see the issue here. Have you never been shot in the forehead, bloody hurts!
  14. I can't imagine truly trusting a retailers review of a product they stock. The same goes for most channels which have had the product sent to them for free and not even properly tested/used it, yet can't stop gushing over how amazing it "Phenomenal accuracy from this Raven Hi Capa. Here's me firing five shots, indoors and from three metres away."
  15. I've currently got two DMR's on Negative Airsofts waiting list. Ones a G&G MBR 556 and the other this. Gonna be tough to decide which to keep ?
  16. Is it illegal if they can show they've already sold it to an international customer?
  17. It'd still be nice for it to not fire when you inserted the mag. Although we shouldn't even be relying on not "flagging" people. If you don't want to shoot someone who isn't wearing eye pro, make sure mags are out and chambers are clear. If you want to at least make a concentrated effort not to shoot a team mate, trigger discipline n' all that... Also confusingly the pic is of a Gen.3 ?
  18. It's taken me a long time to realise but as the great @Rogerborgonce said, all Airsoft guns do the same thing. Some a bit more reliably, some a bit quicker or a bit further but most just fine.

Come on who doesn’t get Jesus with a short chambered Martini-Henry in .45 caliber ! ?

  19. Yep, change the stock parts on the off chance that they would have failed at some point within the next three years....sell the gun two months later! Only then are you a proper airsofter.
  20. The other issue is how many people say "just a shim and grease please" There's a lot of FOMO in airsoft - people who've never even used their guns asking how to get max range, accuracy and even ROF from them. So there's a lot of "make my gun the best it can be" which means new gears, piston, mosfet, a barrel etc and even paintjobs!
  21. Only put it through one skirmish (which is one skirmish more than most youtube reviewers!) but so far very pleased with my XTC-G1 MS Aster. Not cheap or easy to find but solidly built, quiet/sounds perfectly shimmed out of the box, as well being jam packed with quality parts - including my favourite mosfet!

  22. Let's face it, many things we do as airsofters are not because they're essential. A lot of people change parts before they break, just in case those parts break and need changing....which of course in itself is somewhat illogical. If you have a trusted tech and you're happy paying extra plus possibly waiting a good while longer (many reputable techs have long lists), then why not eh. I'm also guilty of this but do think in general we do spend far more time worrying about tweaking our toys than just getting stuck in on a game day.
  23. Age is (kinda) just a number, it's a cliche but it can definitely be true. Being young often helps but is no guarantee of good health. So really depends how the individual feels. Although saying that and perhaps this is slightly dark but I can just imagine someone having a heart attack and there's a neurotic little twerp screaming "take your hits!" at them.
  24. I actually think they should double the minimum age. No under 25's, at least a three day induction course, six months of banks statements and a permission slip signed by your wife/partner. If you're not married/living with your partner, you can't play. Save the space for those of us who have a legitimate reason to leave the house at 6am on a weekend.
