  1. Do you mean the hole which accommodates the screw through the top of the hammer assembly? In a sense, this is actually a weak point on Glock frames. However I've only had an issue with a Co2 VFC Glock 17. I really can't see it being a problem when you're only using a plastic slide an 144a gas.
  2. Being somewhat limited in ammo capacity does make you pick your shots, which adds something to the game. I just found myself wishing everyone else was doing it! However that said, I don't think it makes sense to say 30 rounds is "realistic" 1) BB's are of course nowhere near as accurate (or travel as far etc) as real steel rounds. 2) In most real firefights, you're not shooting at anywhere near the amount of targets or so close.
  3. Does seem strange to have a 300fps limit on pistols. Was it that one kid at chrono saying that or is it officially stated? However I would say rules are rules. Let's not let any of this "I'll use a half-empty bulb for chrono, I'll put my hop right up then drop it down" mentality creep in. I'm hearing it more and more recently.
  4. It's better to do it that way around than spend £1000 on a gun and £5 on eyepro.
  5. Looks are always going to be subjective but as a rule you'd struggle to find better performing pistols (in airsoft), than Hi-Capa's. On the rare occasion most people need to use their sidearm, they don't take a moment to appreciate it's beauty. It's the whole "I like TM's but would never buy one as they have plastic slides" stance - personally I'd rather know it's less likely to crap-out when I need it. ....but yeah, as it stands the colour is waaayyy off.
  6. It's the same gun, so certainly should. KJW make both versions, regardless of which acronym is on the box.
  7. It was only the other week I saw a video of Taran Butler showing off their latest 2011 offering. So AA haven't wasted any time in putting together this "testing sample" I guess once you have the basic plans for a Hi-Capa, you can make the relevant aesthetic changes fairly quickly. I picked up an AA STI Executive (be wary when Googling that!) recently. The finish leaves something to be desired but completely stock it shoots consistently around 320fps on a 0.20g and will hop a 0.25g. It's also snappy, wobble free and seemingly has decent gas efficiency. So I would definitely pick up one of these over Raven, Vorsk or even a WE.
  8. Did somebody accidentally include a dick in an ad again?
  9. I was always dismissive when I heard people talking about using heavy ammo in their pistols but these videos using my stock TM V10 prove they are right! 0.55J on a 0.20g 0.70J with a 0.43g That's just science, sorry Bros! IMO shops should only sell 0.43's moving forward. VID_20220722100128.mp4 VID_20220722100529.mp4

oh where'd you get that? Stopped looking for a while

  11. BTW, I've since changed my mind about them and will avoid at all costs going forward.
  12. I do but yet to skirmish it. My experience is that they don't take WE/TM style mags. The mags and internals are VFC. I'm really in two minds about this RIF. On one hand I really like the shape and texture of the frame but it's made from fairly thin plastic, which flexes. The magwell definitely improves grip and reloads but it wobbles. The tuneable flat trigger allows you to rapidly follow-up on shots but the initial break is stiff (as seems to be the case with VFC Glocks). Gas efficiency and cool weather performance are above average IMO. I have managed to get lock backs after four mags worth of BB's on a single charge of gas. Overall I'm happy with it but I've got quite a few other pistols and tend to favour my TM Gold Match if I know it's actually going to get some use (ie CQB). However Glockwise, I wouldn't recommend this to a friend, over one of TM's offerings (which will take your WE mags). Especially when you consider range of aftermarket parts available for each.
  13. @Rogerborg Apologies for the amateurness of recording a TV but this scene, seemed topical.... VID_20220304_132659_02.mp4
  14. Actually speaking of MED's too..... I really want to see what happens if you run up to a sniper/DMR player who doesn't have a sidearm. I like to think they'd start frantically backpedalling, trying to get 30M away but it's airsoft, so they'd probably shoot you regardless.
  15. @Impulse - Pistol Calibre DMR's!?...haha, shhh let's not give anyone ideas. But yeah, the more I get sprayed through a bush by someone who definitely couldn't see me and was just shooting in a general direction, the more I go off drum mags.
  16. I run a G&G MBR556 as a DMR. I'm not going to die on this hill as don't have enough knowledge of "real world situations" (although as an airsofter I have to shoehorn in that I have shot RS in 7.62 and .308) but my understanding is that DMR's are often chambered in the same calibre as the main squad rife, just tuned for long range precision. As such modern DMR's are also found in 5.56 I will add that I have electronic "sniper delay" setup and only use 90 round mags. Combine that with some sites requiring as low as 400fps for their DMR players, I don't see how people could take issue with what I do, just because I don't have a SR25 style stock on my RIF.

Picked this up quite recently but decided not to follow through with this project. Would make a great kit for anyone wanting to improve the external realism and quality of their TM Glock 17 Gen.4. Some marks possible as it was on a pistol briefly. For which I modified the rails on the pistol, leaving this kit unmodified. As such I can take no responsibility for individual fitment, sometimes things do need tweaking and this takes technical ability. Parts included: Guarder CNC Aluminium Slide - £111 Guarder Steel Dummy Ejector - £11 Guarder Steel Outer Barrel - £56 Guarder Nylon Fibre Frame (US Markings) - £36 Guarder Nylon Fibre Mag Release - £8 Guarder Steel Recoil Spring - £29 Guarder Nylon Fibre Trigger - £12 Guarder Steel Trigger Lever - £19 Guarder Mag Base (extension) - £11 - No longer included. Total = £282 Stated price includes PayPal fees and postage.

  18. You had a sniper rifle that shot under 350fps but you wanted to "fix it", by which I assume you meant make it shoot closer to 500. Now you're asking for recommendations for sniper rifles that shoot below 350fps.
  19. If that "spare body" could talk..the horrors it's seen.
  20. Although it is a somewhat confusing question, considering earlier this year the OP asked: Posted February 13 New to the site, I did get a Ares Amoeba AS-02 Knee Capper Striker Sniper Rifle last year, and I'm finding that it comes in at 320 fps, is this normal? and if not how do I fix it?
  21. If you're looking to use your AEG with no MED by not exceeding 1.14J/350 on a 0.20 then just don't switch to full-auto. Unless you're specifically referring to a bolt action rifle? In which case you'll want to first speak to the site/s you intend to play at. Some I've been to don't let bolt action rifles engage at less than thirty metres, no matter how low powered they are.
  22. When it's 30c and the Ladsofter rocks up with a Co2 Das Wesson Revolver....
