  1. Finding a pistol which works well in the cold has been the bane of my airsofting experience. Love my Co2 P-09 but when you see the o-ring which keeps it from leaking, it's not wonder they fail after five minutes. Which gas do you use in the HK45 or FNX when it's cold?
  2. I had a pre-2020 SSX23, the jamming and double-feeding was ridiculous. Although I don't think they ever directly accepted responsibility, Novritsch did release feedlips which fixed this.
  3. Actually no, I think they've done it for licencing reasons. They're recently increased their stock of Umarex Glocks and removed all trace of any TM G series products. ...and you hate the gen.3? It's also got the 15mm cylinder, so just as snappy and the externals are of the same quality.
  4. Yeah I've been keeping an eye on it as was planning to pick one up. I've just taken delivery of my "850th" Gen.3 19. Because they're also excellent.
  5. Out of the box the SSX23 blows all the other options away and if you argue that, you're just a "hater" If you want H&K trades and are willing to go through the upgrade route yourself, then the TM would of course be the go-to. The ASG/STTI are just budget versions of the latter. I wouldn't get the SSP1 unless you're just looking for a CO2 pistol. The TM Hi-Capa's are infinitely better on green gas. I love my Gold Match and anything you do to it, isn't really an upgrade. You're just changing the externals. I am also very keen on my AAP-01 with Black Mamba kit but it's more cumbersome to carry than a Hi-capa. How important is full-auto and a folding stock to you? Edit; any excuse to post this little clip 😁 VID_20210808_123131.mp4
  6. Twice in that ad "In perfect condition, apart from...." Also yeah, the Jag version is around £130 in actual perfect condition.
  7. Back on topic. It seems they've gone back to the drawing board with both the gen.4 19 & 17. I saw on their twitter that in December they were offering owners of either the opportunity to apply for a new hammer assembly for either model. Seems some of the measurements were out. Also a few UK retailers have recently received Marui deliveries and neither model seems among the items restocked. So I guess there will be a new batch in which this issue doesn't occur.
  8. To me this would definitely be blind firing, although yes possibly a loop hole in that sense. The phrase they tend to use in safety briefings is "we're not Americans"
  9. I made a cardboard periscope at school. Will have to see if it's up in the loft.
  10. Going back six years or so when I started playing, "Blind Firing" was described as only presenting the weapon. Most typically around a door or over a wall. Rules against this make sense, it's both potentially dangerous and unfair. However the last few sites I've visited, have stated it's when you fire without looking down your sights (e.g. hip firing). This doesn't make sense to me, I mean you wouldn't shoulder a mini gun. One player was chastised for rotating his gun on his shoulder while he angled around a corner, even though in this scenario they were both shouldering it and looking down the iron sights. What say you? Has something changed or is my interpretation incorrect? Obviously site rules vary from place to place, which have you experienced and which do you think it should be?
  11. I had a similar experience after buying a RIF from Asia (border force letter and visit). Not sure on the law regarding knives, I do however know that an import licence is a real thing.
  12. Apart from price, is there any difference between something like this and the ones which are marketed as airsoft specific? (Abbey, Nuprol etc) https://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-and-fluids/lubricating-and-penetrating-oil/halfords-silicone-spray-lubricant-500ml-621277.html
  13. I concur but the long and the short of it is there's not one big airsoft youtuber, who doesn't use clickbait titles and at least a big dollop of manufactured drama.
  14. Yeah, there's like a 95% chance that you get ripped off. Either you're mug enough to want to pay £40 for a battered mag or you're expecting the seller to include the RIF and they don't.
  15. That's the fourth one, actually one of my favs. Airsoft punt gun anyone?
  16. Liked for the Tremors 2 reference. After watching the original as a child, I discovered there were in fact seven films and a TV series. Until now I felt like I was the only person in the world who'd seen past the first!
  17. This is one of my biggest peeves with the hobby, gender inequality.... I mean when a man runs out of BB's or has an issue with their equipment, they have to go back to the safe zone. A 4/10 woman with pink hair, will have a queue of simps longer than the chrono queue at 9am.
  18. From the photo's looks like it's for women only? Not many on here I'm afraid.
  19. It'd be near impossible for anyone to give you an accurate answer. Focus on getting everything where you want it first and chrono afterwards. Spring changes on Evo's can be done almost instantly, so if you don't have a chrono at home, take a slightly weaker spring with you just in case. I will also add I wasn't a fan of the CNC hop unit. It's obviously made by ASG too but for some reason you need to meticulously shim it or lose 100+fps. In my experience (I've owned several Evo's), they all hop 0.28's nice and straight for 50M+ out the box. I can't understand why you'd need more than that from an SMG. I also didn't see an improvement in range from swapping the bucking or barrel. Again IMO, they're ideally suited for the job OOTB.
  20. I've had two of these. One in each of the different box designs. In fact I know that when mine arrived in the yellow box, it had been sent directly from the WE factory.
  21. How many of us have small springs hiding in our homes?
  22. What are you talking about!? Most I've been to make SHOT show look like a flea market.
