  1. Just went to my local (TWA Croydon) today. A pretty average day in terms of gameplay but I am happy with my new M4 (Modify XTC with Gate Aster) and the 9.9V life batteries which I think I'll replace all my lipos with. Although I did have an amusing thought. Some airsofters get so excited spending half their monthly salary buying a new gun or "upgrading" one they already have. They'll argue with people endlessly about which is the best make, which is the (only) way to do something or even which BB weight to use. Then an hour in to actually playing and they're moping around at the back, looking almost completely disinterested.
  2. I have two of the flash mag version for my Scorpion evos. They came as separate mag and adaptor (obviously mine came with the Evo adapter), so I assume it's the same or a similar system. I like mine, they're solidly built and feed well.
  3. Using gear like this actually saves you money in the long run. If you just shoot an airsofter, they'll go to respawn and be back in the game a moment later (unless it's after lunch, then it takes much longer). When you have the ability to DESTROY your opponents, they're likely to just give up forever, question the meaning of life and likely spend the rest of their days living as a hermit. After all, unless you're actually reducing the number of people who enjoy playing, are you even really winning?
  4. Seeing as it enables the player to DESTROY other airsofters, it's surely worth thousands.
  5. Every video I see of this leads me to thinking they've made an excellent RIF and training weapon but not an optimal Airsoft gun. - Difficult to load mags. - Painful hop adjustment. - Heavy trigger. - Difficult (shown to be far more-so than the real steel) to disassemble.
  6. Had a stinking cold all weekend and in my boredom watched one of the recent Novritsch videos. Yikes, shooting a kid with 1.8J and 0.46g's from 3 - 4 metres and showing himself doing the definition of blind firing....

Never been a ‘fanboy’ of Novichok but in the beginning his vids where entertaining but now ? He’s gone the same way as every other Airsoft ‘superstar’ , after a period of time they all seem to turn in to wankers once they’ve been treated like a Demi-god by hordes of pimply faced pre-pubescent crotch goblins for long enough .

@GeorgePlaysAirsoft - Thought you may pop up to re-use your favourite picture ?

  7. Just FYI, the dust cover isn't supposed to stay closed on this model.
  8. Are there a significant number of examples of joule creep with standard "battle rifle" AEG's? I feel like this only really comes in to play when you start talking about bolt action and DMR's.
  9. If you look at the classifieds you'll see a member has listed similar guns for around the £500 mark. Those have been up for sale for about two years though. They may eventually sell for that but guess it's a matter of waiting to find the right person, which is your prerogative if you're not in a hurry. I should imagine they're worth about half that at most to 95% of airsofters though.
  10. Who knows what's going on in this photo though. He's wearing safety glasses and the mag isn't in. I can't tell if it's an AEG or GBBR but if it's an AEG then maybe he's confident the chamber has been cleared or maybe there's not even a battery in it. Worst case scenario he pings himself in the face with a BB. Obviously if it's a GBBR, it wouldn't even fire without the mag.
  11. I've never been to an Airsoft site which sells alcohol. Please would you name a few examples? (seeing as you used plurality to imply it's the norm) In regards to smoking weed prior to/while playing, let's just say a large portion of players don't need any help being slower or dopier.
  12. Are the sear bits at the back pushed down?
  13. Just tried to get through to Patrol Base on the phone and quickly hung up after hearing "You are currently caller number eleven in the queue".....

In other news, I'm excited to finally be trying Driver Wood this Sunday!

      They're probably out making TikToks.

  14. In an age when most manufacturers are making it easier to adjust hop, GHK have found a way to make it harder ?
  15. I would assume they're referring to the little box of BB's and dry firing inserts.
  16. @AlphaBear just hadn't had the chance to type "Marui" for 30 seconds and was having withdrawal symptoms.
  17. Am I the only person who doesn't get the "HK slap" obsession? How many AEG's have been broken by this pointless maneuver ?

I wouldn't even do it on a GBBR.

Looks smoother in that gif, than when a ham fisted airsofter wildly smacks his Taiwanese toy.

I feel like the airsoft version is much more 'HK snap' than it is 'HK slap'. Yes I'm aware how shit that 'joke' is, and no, I'm not ashamed.

  18. @Rogerborg - Has Julian Clary hacked your account? ?
  19. I see sniping as essentially playing airsoft on "hard mode".....ie not necessarily to gain an advantage in range etc but to get more satisfaction from every shot that hits, because they are in fact at a fire power disadvantage. Obviously rocking a giant, heavy bright blue thing, which I would assume performs terribly, just puts the user at every possible disadvantage and as is evident leads to extreme frustration. Especially so if they are a young and/or a new player and have Novritsch or KM etc level expectations
  20. A quick Google brings these up for £120. Two tone reduces the price for most and not sure how the seller intends to post the £3.50 smoke. The scope adds very little value. I fear this person rather than being a "dreamer" is another victim of the BBGun.com types.
  21. Classic mate, haha. I picked it up used but still in decent condition and shooting 346fps. Obviously not going to be my go-to skirmish gun but a lovely piece in general.
  22. I haven't settled on a particular weight. I could hop 0.4's without issue but as you say, there doesn't seem much point at the ranges I'll use this. There are 0.3's in that drum because I wanted to use them up. I've found the drum does bump up the FPS, think it's filled with Abbey Predator atm.
  23. FPS aside, I would highly recommend the hop unit. I love that I can have not enough hop, two clicks up too much, one click down perfect.
  24. Just a 150mm maple leaf crazy jet, 50 degree flamingo bucking and the CNC wheel adjustable hop unit.
