I concur With 13:1 this will get you to just under the PME ceiling which is optimal Btw I was thinking those x ms delays in brushless may be related to the software denouncing method, and there is a way to completely remove this delay if they change the code to "register immediately upon voltage detection and ignore input for the next x ms" rather than the usual "wait x ms for the voltage to stabilise before registering"

From what you're saying you have a MR, that's the recommended bucking and the one I use to test. However your hop chamber might prefer the Macaron version which uses a slightly smaller contact patch, it's all about trying different things. it's worth just trimming the feet of the red nub a little or try the MR bucking with the stock nub. With the inner barrel and hop chamber outside of the gun apply the hop and look down into the barrel and see what the contact patch is doing, should give you an idea

As others have stated: P90 high capacity magazines suck simply because of the way they're designed - you have to remove them from the gun to wind them up. I'd suggest buying what are called 'mid-cap' magazines. These hold less BBs than a high-cap but do not need to be wound-up once loaded with BBs. They will feed BBs until they're (pretty much) empty though the odd few may remain. The only difference with loading these magazines is that you will need a 'speed loader' as mid-caps have no loading window where you pour the BBs in. I've never had an issue with swapping different brand P90 magazines between different brands of P90 AEGs as they're mostly the same design IIRC but i'm sure someone can correct me on this if i'm wrong. I can vouch for the CYMA and King Arms magazines both working well but the quality of the magazines from King Arms is much better in my personal opinion. That is just to differentiate the older macarons (3 stripes) from the newer super macarons (wavy pattern). The main difference is the additional supports next to the contact patch and the patch being slightly wider/longer on the super variant.

I agree with the shop about the 11.1v battery. I assume your model is the Proline, in which case it has a MOSFET so you can run 11.1v batteries without worrying about wearing down the internals more quickly. You may want to look at the VP Racing 1300mAh 11.1v 3-cell stick battery. Much more capacity and while it's a shorter battery, it's a bit more chunky than most stick batteries so it's perfect for the P90.

I think it's just a problem of the sliding AK/MP5 hops being a pain in the ass - I had to shave down my XT nub to stop my MP5 overhopping 0.28s with no hop applied as it was just a little too wide to fit the tract properly and was getting forced in when the arm went back in place [and the one I cut on the game day on a bench outside fixed this, just it was a little pissed so it was shooting to the left 😅], a fresh XT nub same as the one you linked went in fine after some sanding and a little trimming, same ML macaron rubber too - just in a CYMA MP5 instead of an AK [the hops are pretty similar or at least I'm assuming so]

While I don't have the Pew Tactical cummerbund I have both original and rip offs by Pew Tactical of the same item. Martials and construction are like for like and even look the same under IR.

Looks like someone has already done the job for you of swapping out the M4 hand guards that it would have come with for the correct slim style too. I will try my best to overlook the crime that is using a 30rnd mag and suppressor on it though

The hi-cap P90 mag is by far the worst hi-cap I've used on any platform because it feeds so badly and it's so impractical to wind up. My experience is similar getting no more than 30-50 shots before having to be wound again. I've switched to TM and CYMA low-caps so I don't get feeding problems. I do like the "tacticool" dummy rounds inside them as well. Krytac's 50/200 round mag is the unicorn I'm after but what little supply of them there is disappears quickly. When you said the gun doesn't shoot properly with the smaller battery, are you talking about the feeding problems or a separate problem? Make sure your sites consider m4’s with drum mags to be “lmgs”, as my locals don’t consider them to be fit for LMG roles.

ML rubbers with the ML nub tend to overhop and jam if the hop is turned up too much as there is much more "Mound" than on standard hop setups. The fix is just to only adjust it up to the point it doesn't jam or below. It will probably be massively overhopping at that point anyway.

Rubbers will break-in over time, you generally end up applying a little more hop to compensate. Not every hop chamber is the same so it takes a little playing around with. It sounds to me like the nub is perhaps a little too large (tall) for your hop chamber, although impossible for me to tell without it in front of me. You might try trimming a little of material off the top of the nub to reduce some of it's height. Also as a test try a standard nub if you have one there.

Sounds like you did a great job, like you say expectation management is key. Explained to my daughter that you'll get shot dozens if not hundreds of times and for every 99 shots that you barely feel, much less hurt, there will sometimes be 1 that makes your eyes water. I've been spending rediculous sums of money on other equally superflous hobbies!

Before you do anything you should take yours apart and fully examine how it works. Look at what the outer barrel head (the part that fits into the upper receiver) looks like and above all measure the lengths you need. You said you can't measure the outer barrel, even though it's broken? Surely you can just measure the 2 halves?

They're both way too short. You need a standard 14.5" barrel for an M4.
