Yup. I'll be there to be shot at by the sneaky VC all day. The Firebase has had a lot of work done to it since the last 'Nam game, so I'm looking forward to testing out the upgraded fortifications. @Skullchewer - I'm really glad you enjoyed the game on Saturday. I was there as well on the blue team and had a cracking game. Top marks to the lads on the green team that held the mortar pits all morning. They made our lives so difficult, it was ridiculous - even more so as there were only a few of them hanging on to the timer. We seemed to get our act together by the afternoon and managed to turn it around, but regardless of the result everyone seemed to have lots of fun, which is what makes these events memorable. It's worth saying as well that if you like the filmsim genre Gunman hosts all sorts of games at filmsim.co.uk, including Nam and Cold War, although I have to say the highlight for me this year was the "Outer Rim" game a few weeks ago on May 4th (it's really Star Wars but don't tell Disney 🤫). The effort everyone made by everyone was extraordinary. My SR-25 came back from getting the works over at Negative Airsoft and he was kind enough to sell me this lovely PTS Magpul PRS to go alongside so battery changes aren't as much of a pain in the ass. Fires lovely, the perun clicker is awesome and I just can't wait to use the thing!

Neither. I made it for the event. It's a Fast helmet from eBay with polypropylene stuck around the edge and finished with car trim. The code discs are from eBay as well. It's based on the Imperial helmets from the Andor series.

PME means pre-mature engagement, that is when your ROF approaches about 30, your sector gear will be too fast and will try to engage the piston while it is still travelling forward i.e. the sector will slam into the middle of the piston rack and chewing up gear teeth Since SHS "high torque" is actually a 16 TPA high speed, I think with 11.1 and 13:1 gears it will probably go over 30 RPS, hence the PME risks

Fear Masters airsoft in Yorkshire according to his profile I do hope it's a typo as that's 4.52j or 697fps with a .2 Neither. The limit before a FAC is needed is 16.25j so it's an air rifle.

Got the compression sorted now lads, holding air with thumb over nozzle and pushing piston in. I just put all the o seals over the cylinder to stretch them a bit and all new silicone grease on them. Gearbox back together finally yet to try it out to make sure shimming was all good haha. Is it worth plugging a battery to just the gearbox first before putting back into reciever? To test it runs cleanly. Cheers

yes sorry, that's what I meant. also could have been someone used some non-silicone grease and it's degraded the rubber on the pad, even with no load on the spring will create a nice pretty pattern on the pad 🙂
