My local sites say that if you can't see where it's going to land, don't throw or post it. Knee height is face height if someone is lying down or even just bending over to, say, pick up pyro.2 points -

https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/cyma-cm-515-m4a1-aeg_i57191 Sorry but regardless of having an extra mag, a battery and a speedloader won't make this two-tone worth £10 more than a brand new black version https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/cyma-cm515-m4-keymod-handguard-in-black.html2 points -
I don't know shit about hpa (other than your all cheats😜), but surely your mag capacity isn't the issue, doesn't the hpa cylinder & all the gubbins in between remain connected & continue to feed said mag for as long as there is sufficient pressure on your bottle/tank ?2 points
-
Might have answered my own question...seems this doesn't apply to the NGRS and you in fact just take the pin out that holds the stock on, and fit it in there. Duh.2 points

As they say in the briefing at my local site, if you've brought an impact grenade to a woodland site then you have the wrong tool for the job. Personally I've always stuck with paper pyro anyway because it's more likely to go off and I can yeet the fuck out of it.2 points
-
Give it a go, dud grenades are always good for a laugh. This is truth, impacts are essentially for murderising people on the other side of a doorway. They can be used to great effect that way, but a timed grenade has more flexibility because you can bowl it for a considerable distance along a hard floor.2 points

Under arm and as close as possible, both for safety and the unfortunate event of thieves grabbing it. As for the soft ground, if you flick it end over end, like bottle flipping, and the ground is soft the inertia from the spin to stop can work, though it can be dependant on the type of impact you have.2 points -
See here for a starter FAQ on HPA: As per the above posters, converting an airsoft gun to HPA would generally be: AEG - Designed to operate an electric motor that runs a piston to create a small quantity of compressed air into a chamber to launch your BB Convert an AEG with an HPA engine, which is fed from an air system. The AEGs magazine only contains BBs, which means you can still switch magazines as required Gas - Designed to operate with a small quantity of gas released into the chamber, typically pre-filled in a pressurised compartment of the magazine allowing you to prefill your chosen number of magazines and switch as required Converting these involves replacing the magazine fill valve with an HPA valve nipple then running a feed from an air system while you play. As GBB magazines contain their BBs and gas, which gets replaced by the air feed then you can either just use one magazine (which would be the norm) or need to detach & re-attach the airsource if you change magazine for more BBs Of course you could use a sealed HPA valve and pre fill an amount of compressed air enabling you to fill and swap magazines - but it won’t be capable of holding full HPA pressures and would have limited HPA shot capacity as the stored air decreases pressure with each shot (other typical gases generally go to a liquid state when filled under pressure in the magazine, expanding in their gaseous state as released to the firing chamber Dedicated HPA guns are designed from the start to operate with compressed air, and can have their nipple feed in a ‘convenient’ location These may have integral regulators embedded in the gun allowing for the cylinders standard output to be fed into the nipple, or as seen on most airsoft HPA systems in the classifieds need an inline regulator as well ensuring a lower operating pressure is delivered to the gun2 points

Tokyo Marui Scope on GBBR - Great Idea or Expensive Mistake...?

Is anyone else going to notice it and pay homage to the hens teeth scope? I’d be tempted to field it to show pals, then tuck it away and use something that you can replace if it got damaged1 point -
Posting and dropping into windows (plus doors etc) can be subject to very different interpretations by different people I would interpret the bad thing of ‘posting’ to dropping something into an opening without looking You could of course poke your head in the window to look - but I did that once and don’t recommend it I met a barrel coming the other way Everyone within earshot heard my expletive reaction, and courtesy of a VOX microphone so did the safe zone1 point

General HPA question...
_K4MF_ reacted to gavinkempsell for a topic
I'm not planning on going down the HPA route but I do have a question about it... I see HPA adaptors for sale in the classifieds, can these simply be connected to a GBBR via the magwell (assuming a tank etc is also attached) & have the GBBR work properly? Asking because I'm confused as I see HPA connected via the pistol grip & some via the magwell. TIA.1 point -

Ideally you should fit a 1/2 cylinder.1 point

I'd very suprised if your impact would go off on a regular basis outdoor. The whole concept is that you need a hard surface to make it work. I play indoor only but you have to follow multiple rules because that thing is lethal if you yeet it. 🤣 Under arm, defo below waist height, no yeet, preferably you check xy corner/room/etc. before you post it so you don't injure anyone. It's really limited how you can use it even indoor let alone outdoor when you can have massive distances.1 point

General HPA question...
_K4MF_ reacted to Mad dog 49 for a topic
When you tap a GBBR to run on HPA, you are just replacing the source and type of gas from green gas to compressed air. If you have a magwell adaptor, it goes in the magwell and your free to use a normal hi cap or mid cap mag as the gas is no longer stored in the magazine, it is now fed into the gas parts either by a hose that is part of the adaptor or, by replacing the magazine gas fill valve with an hpa adaptor valve. Of course, if you use a fill valve replacement, you still have the low capacity of a gas mag but you are pumping hpa compressed air through the mag instead of filling it with green gas.1 point -

What would you recommend to do to do it correctly, I don't want to destroy the gearbox. I have no idea on the internals of the gearbox, I found this on the internet about what's inside it: reinforced polymer piston. – aluminum, sealed nozzle – aluminum, double sealed cylinder head – aluminum, double sealed piston head with bearings – a spring guide with bearings – a set of steel gears – 8mm ball bearings I checked the slots on the original and new barrels, the slots matched great. Both barrels with the same bucking fit superb in the same hop unit.1 point

Been spraying kit for a while. Thought id share a few tips ive learnt over time. Halfords camo spray paint is top quality for price, works just as well as higher priced brands like krylon and EC paint. Best way to make stencils is put a laminator sheet through the laminator to get a thin perspex like sheet. Then trace the camo patterns off the back of a shirt and cut with an exacto knife. Gives nice clean lines. Stencils held away from the item you are spraying gives less clean edges which actually work really well for camouflage. Using a light colour spray far away from the finished product to create a light dusting that dulls all the colours youve sprayed. Airfix/ modelling matt sealents work well to protect the items from lots of chipping Dhobi mag/netting works ok as a spray template, but can look bad as a finished product. Using a net with bigger holes works a lot better to break up shapes. Appreciate most people probably already know this stuff but hopefully helps someone.1 point

Really, really, really need to put your stuff through a spell checker if you're going to sell things. The correct answer is no - as a general player you may not use P2 products Category P2 other pyrotechnic articles are pyrotechnic articles, other than fireworks and theatrical pyrotechnic articles, which are intended for handling or use only by persons with specialist knowledge. https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2015/1553/schedules/made#:~:text=Category P2 other pyrotechnic articles,by persons with specialist knowledge. Use as SFX by suitable persons under suitable circumstances can happen - but certainly not generally thrown around at a game A team mate had a ‘faulty’ Mk5 detonate immediately on striking, due to factory contamination * of the fuses & payload Luckily his glove ended up as the only casualty Pyrotechnics are explosives * Small print for those who know who we are - this was not one of our sponsors products1 point
