Getting ready for my first ever indoor cqb event on Hogmanay Quite looking forward to it

It's an even bet that he and his cronies are watching this forum thread and just stroking themselves raw at the comments about him. I'm one of the people that had been quietly trying to raise awareness of him and his antics for a while, but I became a bit more.... enthusiastic, about trying to bring him down when he doxxed my friends and several others from UKAL on social media. He's an absolute buffoon with a 99% non-airsoft viewer base, as well as strong evidence of using view/comment bots, which entirely invalidates his favourite metric of 1/8th the world seeing his videos. He's banned from 40+ sites in the UK, publicly and who knows how many more who just don't want the hassle of being known as banning him. He regularly outs himself as cheating in his own content, as several other creators have reviewed and highlighted inaccuracies in his narratives as well as his shooting. He's said in interviews that he doesn't see himself as an ambassador for airsoft and all airsoft is, is a way for him to make money. The sooner he's out of the hobby, the better. He's been getting away with literal crimes for too long. Oh and his real name is James Wool, not "Bailey" or "Trouble", so every waiver he ever signed for any site is void, that's a fun one for insurance, eh?

Not that i'm taking his side, but one wonders if calling out his real name (assuming this to be information he hasn't willingly put out himself) isn't doxxing, or at least doxxing adjacent? As for the rest of his antics, well for me it boils down to this; Because wether he's as big an asshole as he plays on camera, or a saint playing the devil, is irrelevant when the issue is that the persona that gets presented to the world outside our hobby casts it in such a negative light. The last damn thing we need is pr like that because the absolute best case scenario is we get a flood of people joining in with the preconceived notion of that being an acceptable way to act. The worst is one can only imagine the fodder his videos would provide for those who can't stand guns (or gun adjacent activities) and would see them out of the hands of anyone who isn't an actor or a video game sprite.

@gavinkempsell I use the Ultrair in my gbbr’s , I used to use Nuprol but the silicon content sure did screw with accuracy, and resulted in a proper , inner barrel and hop removal to get things cleaned and back to normal. Using Ultrair, I only need to do a strip and relube of the bcg etc Im now looking for something similar but higher pressure for Scottish winter playing

Those asg cursed bbs are a good choice but I tend to just buy whatever is for sale on site as any half decent site won't sell crap if they want repeat customers.

The seals yes, but it can play silly buggers with the hop up. Tbh I tend to use whatever is available on site, usually nuprol or vorsk, but I also keep a can of 144a to hand in case the green gas is too hot

For gun room/armory interior design, it seems there are generally two common styles, either you go 1. grid mesh/pegboard/slat wall for a utilitarian look, or 2. fancy cabinets https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2016/03/25/top-100-best-gun-rooms/ You might want to think about coordinating a colour theme for the room (e.g. grey pegboard with grey wall and not just random colours) and designing your lighting for wall displays, i.e. spot light bars on the ceiling (Best lighting are found in museums so you can get some ideas from museum lighting design)

Yeah, no one wants to spend money on expensive BBs, but we do, because it's a bad place to scrimp. Once you've experienced a gun with BBs jammed in the barrel, you'll pay extra not to ever have it happen again. Luckily, in these days, it seems most BBs are good enough, and it's only the very cheapest that are still rubbish. Those ASGs are probably fine...? If you can afford to buy in bulk then Warhead will be good, and you'll be playing very little more per bag. You definitely need to check whether your local site insists on bio's though. You'll not be allowed to play if a diligent marshal finds you're using non-bio where bio have been mandated. Edit: in fact Warhead BBs are the same price for a 1kg bag of non bios, though I didn't compare the postage. It's sometimes worth trying eBay for somewhere with free p&p.

I like Ultrair as it’s a ‘dry’ gas (https://actionsportgames.com/en-gb/productcatalog/ultrair-power-propellent-gas-without-silicone-570-ml). It’s decent in the winter, and not too daft in the summer. The lack of lube means the hop stays pretty consistent

The depth the lore the replayability, the characters, the builds, I could go on. 150hours for the whole game including side quests or 70 for main quests. I know this is an old thread just thought to put my input. I have two 7.24 lipos that have been in storage mode for the past 2-3 years from when I played last using the skyrc charger. Plugged them in recently and still reading 3.81v per cell on both batteries, charged and discharged fine ready for airsoft next year. My understanding storage mode puts the cells to 3.85v No bulging in them either, just stayed within a lipo safe bag.

There's a few that like to fiddle on here, usually while looking at their gun collections😏

I distinctly wear patches which convey my own personal political reservations. I don’t understand how anyone can wear politically motivated patches or historical ones without any idea of the connotations. One of the ones which offends me badly is when people wear Keffiyehs and run around with AKs when they couldn’t even possibly relate to meaning of some of the patterns they’re wearing. They’re the kind of people who’d wear a Palestinian keffiyeh and not understand the message they’re sending regardless of where they stand on the matter. I also can’t stand any offensive Arabic patches which say things like Kafir/Infidel that shit really pisses me off because it’s normally young white CoD playing teenagers with absolutely no idea of the symbolism and struggles associated with the cause they’re imitating. All my patches are clear obvious bright left-wing patches ranging from “Anti-Capitalist Socialist Club” to a Progressive Pride Flag patch. I consciously make an effort to defy and offer some sort of counter to people who wear offensive patches and are harbouring questionable views. But ultimately if you want to wear a Gorka and rock an AK-12 I personally don’t have an issue with it until you go slapping modern Russian military symbolism on it. Much like how someone’s not going to pull up your Mauser unless you engrave a swastika into the handle or something.
