Holy sh- hey everyone I’ve been reading this thread for way too long time, and now it’s my time to join the MWS family Finally got my hands on one I’m more than ready to run this boi on the field I got the URGI version of the MWS, I don’t remember when it came out, but in France seems like it’s almost impossible to get hands on it Im looking for some advices on what simple things to add on it i already got some parts up for it Got 5 spare mags (the sixth one is for a friend) (also don’t mind the inner barrel, it’s for my SRS) if you have any idea on what I should add, feel free to express yourself, I’ll take any suggestions thank you !

  5. If I wanted to give an airsoft pistol to one of my children - all of whom are middle aged adults by the way - none of whom have ever skirmished, would this be completely legal? I emphasise this would be a gift and not a sale. In the unlikely event that the gun eventually ended up in the hands of somebody unkown to me, who used it irresponsibly eg. showed it in public, would I as the original owner be liable?

  6. Ran the MP5 for the first time yesterday at Tuddenham, really happy with it 😁 The magazines sat really nicely in the Peacekeeper, I did consider sticking an Esstac 9mm Kywi on the rig to hold them more securely but don’t think I’ll need to.

For P-mags, try WGC Shop or JK Army. If the TM handguard has a QD point, just get a decent QD attachment (Magpul, BFG etc), if not, a Magpul M-LOK mount will sort you out. I have a WADSN Ngal clone that's decent enough

  11. F-S has TM Hi-Capa 5.1s for £99 and black SCAR-Ls for £400 (amongst other things); wish I wasn't already fully stocked on TM pistols and NGRS. Amazing pair of skirmishers right there.

  13. This is a different kind of dreamer. I always thought this minigun was nicknamed after the Roman god of fire but whoever put up the listing clearly had something else on their mind. Even the URL shows they're thinking of it a lot. 🤣 https://www.zerooneairsoft.com/products/Classic-Army-AEG-M133-Mini-Vulvan

    Gun picture thread

Spent a good deal of time recently converting my A&K Mk43 Mod 0 into a Mod 1 by installing a new railed top cover, railed front handguard and M60 birdcage flash hider. None of the parts fit without modification so it was quite painful! Still, pleased with how it's looking. It's not quite done yet, I'd quite like to change the finish of the receiver, barrel and gas tube to be a darker grey or black. And an authentic Mod 1 style top cover would be fantastic, if only anyone had ever made an airsoft version!

  20. I'd personally avoid Earmors like the plague - as a group, we've had maybe 6 pairs between us over the last 2-3 years, and all but one pair (mine) have given up. If you're looking for a cheapish setup, I recommended the following to a friend and he's really chuffed with how well they work: Retevis first mic (Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N5A2NHH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00) Howard Leight ear pro (Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Honeywell-Howard-Leight-Foldable-Defender/dp/B001T7QJ9O?th=1) Then you just need a 3.5mm male-male cable to connect the two together. The cost of the Howard Leights' have gone up a bit since he bought them - I guess the conflict in Ukraine - but it's still a good setup for around £80.

    G36 Hop Unit

Hi Aj, I have the Maxx Begadi G36 hop units fitted in several of my G36's and I can say that hands down its the best hop unit for this. As long as you stick with the standard nozzle length, it'll work fine with the maple leaf and Begadi buckings (I can confirm this). No UK supplier as it's a Begadi exclusive so you'd have to order from them in Germany... Ordered from them many times and always been great. Hope this helps. Chris

  22. In my experience which is exclusively sub-£200 budget gnus as that's my budget - I'd say that any of the big names will serve any beginner perfectly well, and most are available under £150. -CYMA - A good safe bet, they just work and seem to last really well. The CM513 is brilliant, mock suppressor and tons of RIS space. Their AKs are legendary and highly recommended. CM048 is next on my want list. Probably the best choice here. -JG - Another safe bet, again they just work. Provides "different" platforms like MP5s, M14s, G3s, G36s etc. -Specna - Their Core series is decent, Edge IMO should be avoided, everyone knows someone who's had an Edge that's had the complicated electronics or notorious Orion gearbox poo itself at an awkward moment and ruining a skirmish day. Would pick a CYMA or LT instead but that's just me. -Double Eagle - The Honey Badger series has gained a real cult following for lots of features often seen on Gnus double their price - I haven't tried one but lots of fans out there, seeing them appear regularly and everyone has nothing but praise. -Lancer Tactical - Controversial opinion, but I'd recommend them for beginners, lots of features for the money and imternals seem decent. The plastic they use for construction feels more sturdy than most other manufacturers at this price point. I have the M933 Gen 2. It's great cheap thrills, a real hoot, best 100 quid I spent in airsoft! -G&G - Have a good rep, excellent quality but their prices seem to have inflated considerably over the past couple of years. Overpriced for what they are IMHO but otherwise a safe bet for something that will just work. Couple of points to make for beginner AEGs:- -Don't get too hung up on metal bodies - yes its "more realistic" but a) it makes it heavier and b) the metal used in many airsoft guns, especially at this price point, tends to be pretty shit. Plus plastic doesn't rust... -Forget "upgrades". Most AEGs are decent out of the box and only require routine maintenance to keep them working nicely. Parts only really need replacing if they get worn out/broken, like hop rubbers, barrels, motors etc. Focus on getting your game good, your aim, your fitness and your tactics and being part of a team. Those are the important things. Fancy high-end pieces or "uPgRaDeD" frankensteins, i.e. the airsoft equivalent of a tarted-up Vauxhall Nova (and just as unreliable, unless done by someone who knows what they are up to), do not make you a better player. -Snipers, DMRs etc. seem "cool" (and they are to an extent), however its a different way of playing and requires a lot of patience, practice and investment to get right - something that most beginners don't have. Learn the basics first. Learn about communication, team tactics, getting fit, learn your site and the different attack points, defensive points, ways to move, bits you can camp in etc. Once you learn the game you can then look at the different roles within a team and look at things like being a marksman etc. The most important point in all of this however is something that many miss - HAVE FUN!
