Is that the one that was on the classifieds here a couple of days ago? A perfectly fair price I thought I spotted that, if I’d had the spare coinage I’d have been all over that too! Glad to see it’ll be relatively local to me, when we meet, I’m gonna start working on you to sell it ???2 points -
I think the point that everyone is missing here is that the sling techniques that apply to firearms don't really apply to airsoft. Putting tension on the sling is usually to help with stability and recoil control. Airsoft guns really don't have that problem. Set up the sling however is comfortable for YOU. If you want more tension on it, have more tension on it. If you want room to maneuvre the gun about have less tension on it. If you want both, get an adjustable sling.2 points
-
Fair enough, thanks for the info, but doesn't change the fact that the sellers looked bashed to fuck, that alone makes me question the price in the s/h market. Dynatecs get battered, they're still the OG classic that everyone else has tried to copy, but I don't see anyone trying to sell a banged up one for £100+ lol.2 points

There is no right or wrong The C clamp hold can be with or without sling, it’s about stability and control of the barrel tip Slings can just about carrying to ease the load and to allow you to free your hands - in which case it doesn’t matter how tight or loose it is, just that it holds in a manner that you can get back to it. Slings can also be about another point of contact for stability and therefore need some tension. If you have some tension in the sling then this almost counts as being ‘attached’ in a ‘fixed’ position: The combined tension between the sling pulling back to your body, stock against your shoulder and you forearm pulling away gives three points of ‘contact’ steadying the rifle in the direction that you point If it works for you then it’s right - but with the issue of reloads @Wavey_Gravey has it - release the tension by dropping the stock from your shoulder. Consider how flappy the rifle is when hung from the sling to pop your pistol out - if it’s just an emergency couple of shots then it doesn’t matter too much, but if you switch to pistol and carry on with pistol then a flappy rifle is very annoying What works for you works for you So if there’s a problem effecting you then focus on resolving the problem, if there are others saying that you have it wrong then that’s their problem2 points

I'd avoid buying any PPE that's second hand. You don't know the history of it and could be buying something that'll fail when hit due to previous use, even if it looks ok2 points -
Nerf MA40 to GBB conversion begins. AAP-01 fits after removing some internal supports. . AAP and MA40 hacked up some more and the AAP is bolted to the left shell. Nerf mag hack up and spaced to fit the AAP mag. Long way to go got to figure out a mag release and charging handle, I may put a larger pistol grip in.2 points

Aquagraphix. Cerakote, Hydrodipping and Custom paint applications.
Nick G reacted to Aquagraphix Eve for a topic
Hello there, We are a custom coatings company based in South Wales. We offer almost any wet spraying applications a swell as hydrodipping. We offer Cerakote Ceramic coatings, powdercoat, relaquering, chrome effect, custom paint effects and hydrodipping. We have just started doing Cerakote on air soft parts and it seems popular so im trying to spread the word a little. We have been cerakoting a while now but mainly air rifles and motorbike parts. We (myself and my other half, Dave) have been applying coatings since 2011 when our daughter was born and we decided to go self employed. Prior to that Dave was custom painting cars for many years and then we both ventured into the dental industry as engineers and managers. Oh how times have changed haha. We are a family business who care about our reputation and what we provide to our customers. A bad review is never acceptable and we do everything we can to make sure we keep all our customers happy. Its worked so far! www.aquagraphix.co.uk www.facebook.com/aquagraphixuk If you require a quote on anything please either PM the facebook page or email [email protected] or call 01443836599 Please send photos for a quote. Hope to be helping you pimp your guns very soon. Any questions just ask..... Thanks for reading Eve (The real boss)1 point -

Hello all, this is my first post here and I thought I would share my new AEG turned DMR, the Double Bell SR25 (this one) I haven't really seen any reviews or videos on their SR25 so I thought I would share my thoughts on what I like and don't. First off the build quality. Surprisingly pretty good for how much the gun cost. Everything feels sturdy and well made, no wobble and a comfortable pistol grip. The only thing that felt SUPER cheap and got instantly replaced was the solid stock. It felt way to fragile, one drop or hard knock and it could shatter kind of fragile. Another bad point is the stock motor, I fired the gun 4 times through my chrono for a stock reading and the gearbox locked up. Now this could of been due to the fact that the gun is locked to semi-only by bespoke with the selector plate but it didn't matter as the gearbox was going to be opened anyway. The gun has a quick spring change like the Cyma platinum series. Just removed the stock and twist the spring guide until it pops out, simple! Internally it has a V2.5 SRS gearbox which is a bonus! It has standard ok gears which I replaced, the nozzle was metal with an o-ring and the piston had steel rack teeth with a decent bearing head, the cylinder was ported which I also replaced along with the cylinder head. The air seal however from stock was REALLY good. So far impressed. My piston had the 19 teeth but it was exactly like the picture above. Now some issues, I had to send the gun to a local tech as It was causing a massive head ache, it turns out the stock cylinder is smaller then the replacement non-ported SR25 cylinders. Double Bell SR-25 Cylinder SHS SR25 Non-Ported Cylinder With a bit of modification he got the cylinder in with the gearbox closed. The Front of the gun you have a 420mm brass 6.02 inner barrel (the websites say 500mm, well its not) and a rotary hop up chamber, it felt a bit cheap so I replaced it. New parts inside of the gun. SHS SR25 Gears with perfect shimming. SHS Non-ported Cylinder SHS V2 Cylinder head Perun AB++ mosfet XT 22TA high torque motor XT M130 spring Stock piston Stock nozzle ZCI Rotary hop up chamber Maple Leaf 6.02 410mm inner barrel Maple Leaf MR Hop 70 Maple Leaf Omega nub I'm using a 9.9v LIFE battery. I replaced the cheap feeling hollow stock with a Cyma SR-25 solid stock, it only needed to be slightly shaved on the bottom of the stock to fit. The finished product. I'm using 0.32's and I'm getting 341-343 fps. Perfect for my site! I'm pretty happy with the build, I'll be using it for the first time this Sunday hopefully with no cock ups!1 point

You could argue that it's worth what someone's willing to pay for it, if the sellers asking too much then it's a waiting game until some one sees the add and decides they can't life without it.1 point -
Sling Lenght...?
Hotweeweejef reacted to Badgerlicious for a topic
This is why adjustable slings are king. You can leave it loose for unimpeded movement, then tighten it down if you want to switch to a pistol, or (more realistically) stand around having a chinwag with your mates ?1 point -
Well, if we're going to veer back on topic, I do prefer to run a bit on the bondage rather than the floppy side as I find it helps with holding up our super-heavy plastic toys over the course of a day. C-clamping is mostly pretendy for our purposes, but, well, that's what we're all doing, right? ?♂️1 point

If you're going down the visor route you might want to double check the site is ok with it. Many have a large gap at the bottom so they may insist you wear glasses too, especially if the visor can be rsised1 point -
Looks like US-11549793-B2 which references the ALS TRMR-LE (seemingly only sold in 12ga earburster form) and the elusive TRMR-LR (the cited link for that just redirects to the LE). Citations going back over a century, including a 1916 GB patent. Curiously there are two diagrams, one of which looks like the TRMR that we know, but the bulk of the claim is about one with a safety pin - presumably that's the LR.1 point

I like to think you know that not all impacts are equal, nor are hours/days of exposure to sunlight so giving an actual figure would be arbitrary. Suffice to say, I have replaced eyepro in the past when I recall sustaining multiple impacts and I didn't feel comfortable with it or when I noticed scratches/loosened bonding. As I'm a lot older now and learned from the mistakes of leaving certain items in the sun, sunlight isn't as big a factor for me as I keep my eyepro under wraps until I need it. I don't assume everybody takes the same care as each other.1 point

After how many impacts do you replace your eyepro, or after how many hours or days in sunlight? It's something that we know we should do, but - as with bike lids - it's easy to put it off indefinitely. I replace eyepro when it gets scratched or clouded, although a buff with some sort of polish (e.g. Meguiar's® PlastX™) can sometimes recover it. I don't think I've ever replaced eyepro due to impacts. Bike lids, eh, when I change bikes and a day-glo yellow flip-front bought to match an F800GS would be a sartorial faux-pas on a Royal Enfield Classic.1 point

I get messages along these lines maybe once every 2 months for my old Real Sword Type 97, which I sold some 4 years ago. To be honest, it is indicative of a sub-optimal User Interface/Layout that this keeps happening. A modest redesign or better wording for the advert conditions ("This advert is Completed" isn't exactly foolproof) would rid the aforementioned fools of any ambiguity. Something like a massive red "SOLD" sticker appearing over all the pictures for the advert, maybe a popup warning before you contact the seller, striking-through all of the text in the advert, would do the job.1 point -

A little tension is a good thing, if it’s interfering with reloads then tuck your stock under arm, this will slacken it off. Wouldn’t let the rifle hang on transition either, move it to your off hand or off hand side to rest.1 point -

As other have said I think your best best is mounting something to a helmet so it will keep it off your face. Something like a replica opscore helmet and mandible. Can get the drill out and poke it full of holes and stick a mesh cover on to help with the heat or even install some fans to keep cool air moving over your skin. Good luck mate really hope you solve the issue.1 point -
Ooooh. Aug goodness. ? I bought a boneyard TM one. For the paltry sum of £90. It wasn't well. @Iceni pointed me in the correct direction and after managing to lunch a spur gear (yup, tm cheesium gears) with the addition of a high torque motor, I rebuilt the box, painted it the correct RAL colour (aka "mud"- seriously, that's the Oem name for it!!) And I LOVE IT. I apparently have an oddball one, as mines all silencered up but may be a tm/snow wolf swinging session outcome. 490mm tb barrel, m105, hi torque, metal gears ?, new Oem hop with a maple and I can chuck 0.28's at people all day.1 point

KWA GBBR AUG ? Pics from Shot Show in Las Vegas earlier this year. Its a heavy beastie - about the same as the real Steyr AUG is. Handles nicely and feels quite balanced. Didn't get to shoot it at the show as at the time it was the only one they had and they were uncertain so sure abt it being used/abused. We got told that due to a massive order by a certain country (Down Under)of 2000 units for training purposes, then european release was some way off. Appears that BZ tactical have them though. Now, wheres that damn winning lottery ticket ?1 point -
