Shortly after after I posted this, the tech was made aware of this and got in touch with me here. He explained as to what has caused him to go quiet and promised to sort my rifle out ASAP. I got it delivered today, finished as wanted and most importantly - working. It's unfortunate that I had to end up posting this here but lessons learned on both sides. Hopefully he can sort out his current issues as I'm satisfied with his work on the rifle itself and his service/approach before any issues mentioned here was great.

Great news - thanks for the update. Fair play to the tech I suppose - if you are a one-man band, you are only one significant life event away from (inadvertently) wrecking your business and pissing off your customers.

Just to be clear I'm not interested in taking money till they're done @TierOne A couple of people have offered, they want to be in my hand and done with an exact quantity. The first lasering actually showed up a couple of errors so the models been redone. However, first run of these (i will be able to do batches) are going to be slightly simplified and targeted at pulse rifle owners, because the market for those is bigger-it means an airsoft shotgun can be fitted AND the RPF is another good place to sell. Also some tooling needs to be made to make a couple of the details with these, for example the rear sight mount area, details which are not needed for a pulse rifle build. It's just taking longer than I thought, but I now have a better understanding of why sometimes we see a company float an idea and it takes sometimes years to appear. From my perspective, people don't tend to want to part with 120 usd for the stock for an airsoft Marui. To kick this off, something which I hope will carry on, I have just decided it makes more sense to go down the pulse rifle route first. I can then adapt from there if there's enough interest. I've got a few bits in the pipeline, a couple of VG volksrifles I really fancy doing a few of. Reproducing some colt NPC grip mounts, I've got access to one and they're rocking horse shit now but would be a very easy thing to replicate with works tooling. I think a JAC AR18 metal reciever is also very possible. Again, I've got one to copy. But baby steps, for now and evidently nothings going to be particularly quick.

Turns out a pair of round-nose pliers was just about perfect for getting the gas tank's main valve off. Ordered em here. Tank went back together lovely [after a few hours soaking the o-rings in abbey silicon oil] and it worked fine on the game day the day after. Or, well - as well as a unmodified gas shotgun "works" out in a woodland field anyway Now, to ward off the devils trying to get me to drop 300 quid on wiitech upgrade-y bits... -on my shitty second-hand GE clone that was less than a hundred quid...

Oh yes indeedy. Bored engineers are dangerous. Yeah, i gave the air line a quick squirt of silicone then rubbed it off, so it didnt migrate and sod it all up. Not sure standard silicone is man enough but hey, it aint a daft idea if it works, right? If you were going to get proper anal about it, i suppose you could block the airline then pressurize it, causing it to swell and apply outward force, sealing it properly.

Nice job. The airline is a good shout, I reckon you want something that applies some positive outwards pressure while the window material is curing. Did you lube it with silicone spray or similar as a release agent? I tried this with sugru and a PTFE-tape-wrapped 6mm drill bit shank, but despite leaving it 24 hours before withdrawing the bit, the sugru then slumped into the barrel to the extent that I was hopped to the moon with no pressure applied. Some folk report success with bog standard silicone sealant, I may give that a try as well. [EDIT] I should stress that this is just for fun, really, since Maple Leaf rubbers and nubs already do a pretty good job.

I think that the market for the actual SPAS 12 would be more lucrative, everyone I know is fed up with lightweight plastic ones. there is a lot of interest in a more realistic weapon, I have seen many SPAS 12's on skirmishes but no once come across anyone with a Pulse rifle, so it a shame that you are going to manufacture for these first. I have bought the foldign stock and hook from Ocatagon and it really sets it off well, just need the metal handgurd and happy days, metal reciever a bonus but not as critical

If you don't mind not having authenticity, its possible to attach a CYMA CM352 stock with a bit of work.

Preach. Once you've accepted that airsoft QC and compatibility means "within about 3mm", you can just go straight to the file, sandpaper and shimming tape.

To be clear, the Edge 2.0 has the Aster. The more basic Edge guns have a for-novelty-purposes-only X-ASR which provides nothing but trigger contact protection, and problems.

Until you have the full kit ready and in your hands, with some fancy pics. And ideally fitted to a TM spas to show it actually fits.. I can’t see anybody sending you money. Whereas once you have, I see lots doing so.

Am I missing something? Wasn't there several comments on many threads how stagnant the rif selection is and here some of you good folks are, drooling over what is essentially an M4 variant....? I guess that is what I am missing, ok so is is a Brit L119 variant so the upper is almost different but it is still the M4/ar silhouette.

I just got my first MWS today! Picked it up a second-hand MWS CQBR M4 with a few mags at a decent price. First thing off the bat, it’s beautiful, and all the mags are leak free. A few strange things I’ve noticed, and I wonder if it’s normal or needs attention. 1. The bolt makes this pinging noise when dropped / shot, almost like a spring inside is moving around. 2. The upper and lower receiver has a gap between the two parts. The gap is large enough to look through and wobble around in the hand. I watched Oil's video on using a hair band to fix it, but is there a more long-term solution?

Yep, is he close enough to visit ?, failing that where is he based ?, maybe another forum member can pop by & politely request their return. What I would recommend you do first is to drop him a message via letter, sent special delivery to ensure signature, stating you would like all your items returned, ideally with any outstanding repairs completed, list all your contact info & explain failure to do so will result in a visit by yourself or an associate, & that this matter may be escalated to a small claims case against him.

Not the most recent purchase, as I bought it at the AI500 in wales. Picked up a Maxtact derringer as a second humiliation gun. (My first is a TM LCPII bought at last years AI500 in Rochdale) Didn't get a chance to use it in game though

So I spotted this on Gumtree and contacted the seller before the listing was deleted (anything gun shaped is forbidden to be sold there) The seller knows nothing about its history, so I gotta start somewhere I believe it’s made by Daisy, and was only in production for almost 1 year before they were forced to cease manufacture - apparently due to it being too realistic 😂 I can hardly find any mention of it online I dunno if it’s metal or plastic, seller is a bit vague other than it’s working. But it’s on its way to me! More a collectors piece than a skirmishable rif I think (not that I’m a collector , but couldn’t resist) Any of our veteran members able to shine a light on this please? these are the only pics I’ve got until it arrives…..
