JG G3 with 3D Printed Wood Furniture
DJsnipe and 5 others reacted to CzechMeOut for a topic
Purchased as a project for £50. I've 3D printed some wood furniture for it and I'm mostly happy with how it turned out. Printed in walnut 30% wood PLA, 1 coat of walnut wood dye and 1 coat of teak wood varnish. Internal upgrades: - Perun V2 - Maple Leaf 70 degree rubber - Tomtac 6.02 barrel. (Brilliant barrels for the cost. Apparently they might be rebranded ZCI?) - ZCI closed cylinder - XT cylidner and piston head - M130 spring FPS is a solid 430fps with semi locked via the Perun. The plastic receiver sucks but I'm on the hunt for a G&G magnesium reciever to replace it with.6 points -

TM 'Old Skool Plastic' or NGRS? Are TM NGRS magazines even available on our shores at the moment? Personally, I would go ICS purely because a) With exception to TM, they have been producing MP5s longer than any other manufacturer in airsoft, B) spare parts are doddle to get from Fire-Support. C) The CES-P has a stamped steel receiver D) it has the SSS V2 electronics (hair trigger) and finally D) it's £200 cheaper than the TM NGRS. I've seen so many cosmetically broken Cymas (Mag releases, cocking handles and stock arms) now, that I would never bother with them. Something aint right with that Cyma one in the classifieds - The plastics have been resprayed at some point. Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.4 points -

The higher temp of the gas at source makes it higher pressure than the cold gas in the tank of the mag. That means it wants to pressurise the mag harder than if both are ambient or similar temp. I Do recall seeing this mentioned on a video before, it was either Bada Bing or Airsoftology IIRC.1 point

The other option is the SRC Mp5 (The more expensive one) These have true stamped steel receivers. Basic internals. But ripe for upgrading. I think it's a more accurate copy of the real thing then the ICS version. They also have the SD flavours. I wouldn't mind the ICS CES-P if it was the MP5SD5 version.1 point -

There is no such thing as 'best MP5'. G&G and VFC made 1:1 replicas so real steel attachments should fit with 0 issue (magpul sl handguard is a notorious one regarding being too tight or not fitting at all because different dimension of XY replica). ICS makes some nice guns with aluminium upper receiver and some model can shoot burst which is nice altough indoor it's just a gimmick you can't use it anyway. 14mm thread is non existent on those guns so putting a tracer on it is either a pain in the ass or nearly impossible because those 3 lug thingies. You can buy pot metal cyma which is heavier than anything else. Weight wise probably the closest one to the real steel or could be even heavier. Classic Army has different lower receiver models. Marui made a NGRS which is extremely expensive, and spare magazines are non-existent for some reason. End of the day it's still an EBB altough I bet it's fun to shoot because you have to reload like the real one and it's responsive regarding not shooting on empty and and bolt cover/ejection port locks back on an empty mag. Old Marui models are quite pricey but they are light at least. Internally I don't think you are gonna find huge differences. (V2 gearbox basic gears, basic motor etc.) GBB has it's own pros and cons I'm not gonna get into that I wrote a novel already.1 point

Are you sure that's the right thing to do? Perhaps you should seek opinions on it.1 point

Best mp5 currently available is the TM one…😬 If you like cyma, have you considered this in the classifieds? It’s not an a5 but easily could be.1 point -
Thanks, it was very! Had to swap out undergarments at lunch despite the low temps. Gorka must be the least breathable suit out there!1 point

Awww Fcuk It, Bit the bullet and bought a TM 416D in tan configuration With a half dozen matching pts mags 😂1 point -
Funny you should say that, a mate of mine, who shall remain nameless, said similar. He bought a KWA Ronin T10 too and actually preferred it over his TM’s. Actually his wife nicked it come to think of it as she said it was lighter than the TMs.1 point

What I meant is that as long as you don’t spam on semi you don’t really need a mosfet. But yes, agreed generally the mosfet helps hands down with many things but it’s really not necessary. I have 3 titans in 3 of my recoils and the other 3 are without mosfet. The 50 shades below does not have a Titan and if I’m being honest I prefer the feel of the original so called mechanical trigger. Although, I do appreciate the hairline trigger on the mosfet when my fingers have frostbite lol1 point -

A monkey is sitting in a tree, smoking a joint, when a lizard walks past. The lizard looks up and says "Hey! what are you doing?" The monkey says "Smoking a joint, come up and join me" So the lizard climbs up and sits next to the monkey and they have another joint. After a while, the lizard says his mouth Is 'dry', and that he's going to get a drink from the river. At the riverbank, the lizard is so stoned that he leans too far over and falls in. A Crocodile sees this and swims over to the stoned lizard, helping him to the side. He then asks the lizard, "What's the matter with you?!" The lizard explains to the crocodile that he was sitting in the tree, smoking a joint with the monkey and his mouth got dry and that he was so wasted that, when he went to get a drink from the river, he fell in! The Inquisitive crocodile says he has to check this out. He walks into the jungle and finds the tree where the monkey is sitting, finishing a joint. He looks up and says "Hey, MONKEY!" The Monkey looks down and says "FUUUUUCK DUUUDE HOW MUCH WATER DID YOU DRINK?!1 point

Yep - made it through the green channel no problem. Was quite entertaining breaking out hte guns in the middle of an airport - had to prove they were empty and what we said they were. Must have messed with a few other passenger's heads LOL. If you're flying back with JAL, they will need you to Fax them the spec sheet of the pew. I just sent them a print out of the web page from KSC and Marui. Felt very archaic - even the father in law had retired his fax machine to a cupboard. SWMBO offered little in the way of translation help too, so the boy and I had to muddle through with the lovely JAL ladies. Top tip with JAL.... Fly with something unusual, as an extra bag, and they'll treat you differently - in a good way as they process the baggage individually. Twice now I've done this and got through check in and boarding ahead of other people. Time before this I had to bring a guitar back. Anyone would have thought I was Ed Sheeran's older, better looking and more talented brother. Shame it didn't land me an upgrade though. Someone asked me about a Derringer two shot, not sure if it was here or at AWA... Pretty good prices too for guns, but the accessories and outfits were more expensive. Bloody early start it was too, but had nice sunrise to say good by to what will soon be my new home. Safe journey!!! I doubt I will be going back until the end of the year, but the boy is going in the summer, all things being equal. Not been to Osaka yet... Guess you'll be chomping on he Okonomiyaki1 point -
