My first question would be why are you running an SP150 spring in an MP5?3 points

Purchased the Samoon Co2 Kit for the GHK Glock, while they include a few steel parts that aren’t steel in the pistol originally which seem of reasonable quality, the Co2 mag is awful and the Co2 ( Supposedly ) nozzle broke after 3 capsules. To be fair it was great shooting it with Co2 for the very limited time I could, but for what is a very expensive kit, especially with posting and charges, my advice, DON’T.1 point

A dry(ing) piston seal will cause cycling faults for sure. It should be lubed with TechT before each game day. Not at all, I like the Parker Hale gun oil, real steel stuff, smells amazing too.1 point

Not sue if these are the best, but a combination of these is what I use: Tech T Gun Sav lube Abbey Rifle and Gun Oil Abbey Silicon Spray Gun oil on the metal parts, Tech T (the pink tub AlphaBear mentions) for the piston seal and a bit of silicon on flannelette pulled-through for the barrel - one wet, two dry. Standing by to be told I'm talking out my hoop 😆1 point

I’m gonna stick UltraAir into three mags and Abbey pred (red bottle) in the other three. And then see if there’s any difference. I’ll run 0.3 G&G’s as the ammo as I’ve accumulated quite a horde of them. The 0.4’s I’ll leave to the TM 417.1 point

Amen. I've never used Nuprol BBs but have your words ringing in my ears everytime I see a bottle of them! Open Blasters and Geoffs Bio BBs are all I get now.1 point

Yes lad!!! Gun day is fun day. Fairly comprehensive list there pal. Only thing I did after not using mine for around three months, was run each mag through the gun to make sure there's nothing sinister going on. Which gas you going to run? UltraAir or Abbey Predator? Those are your go-to gases IIRC.1 point

Gonna be dusting off my MWS after it’s been in storage for over 8 months. I know shocking. Me of all people should know better. Luckily it was greased up and the mags had abbey maintenance gas shoved into them. So cleaning regime. 1. Check mags for leaks. 2. Check mag rubber dingy dong gas router to make sure all is well. 3 Check the piston rubber for cracks and dryness. FYI gents if you don’t lube it, it’s gonna dry up and crack. Have a pink tub of lube which I keep forgetting what it’s called. 4. Barrel clean 5. Gun oil all metal friction on friction parts. 6. Check the hop rubber. Should be fine. But still I’ll have a look. Have I missed anything?1 point

One word of cautionary advice. Don’t use shitty Nuprol bbs in your MWS. You all know my views on their quality and what they did to my MWS.1 point

Do you know the old o-ring stretch trick? Your airseal would have to be freaking horrendous to lose 200 FPS at the piston head/cylinder junction. For reference, I’ve done some work on certain Lancer Craptical guns that didn’t even have airseal between the head and cylinder, and still got over 300 FPS (supposed to shoot 375). I’m not kidding here. When your nozzle is too long it can lose you FPS consistency, accuracy, feeding… usually not more than 10-12 FPS at max though. My best bet is that you’re getting drag on your tappet plate/nozzle, if your tappet timing is off because of drag, it can easily cause that much FPS loss. Check for any friction between the GB shell and the tappet and the nozzle and the nozzle tube. Make sure you check with the GB screwed together tightly. Oh, and also check and make your nozzle is at the right angle—if it’s angled it can do that. Mag issues are a decent guess, methinks, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen mags do that—I’ve had feeding issues (darn you Lancer midcaps), and sometimes this causes FPS drop as well, but I’ve never seen 200.1 point

All this said, I'm probably going to get myself one of these at some point too. I like my AEP one for winter months, but I really love my KWA mp9 GBBR and I love the mp7. Plus, from what I can see the TM mp7 uses VSR rubbers which encourages me to do silly things 🙄1 point

Sounds to me like either the o-ring on the piston head is too small for the cylinder or the vents are clogged up stopping the oring from being pushed out.1 point

Loss of about 200fps

So, when I installed the replacement gearbox shell, I rebuilt the whole thing. It should have been just as good as it was before the replacement. However, I've just taken it apart again to check compression, and my piston head is NOT making a good seal. I hold a finger over the nozzle and compress the piston, and I can hear air escaping past the piston head. Iring looks ok, it VERY well lubricated. I have no idea why it's doing this. Anyone got any ideas??1 point -

Table Top skirmish game for Kids?

I'll have you know that I was victorious! - Gonk's SnotHunters defeated the evil forces of the Black Assassins when Snotgrass the Green (notice a theme here?) caused catastrophic damage with his longbow whilst Gonk and his cohorts rushed in to the fray with their melee weapons. Seriously though - my son loved it. Being able to create characters and a simple, but scalable, set of rules meant that the games were fast and more importantly - fun. It might not suit more advanced players, but for kids and their (non gamer) parents it's a pretty good place to start, especially with the YT videos that the author posted. I've ordered a rolled Terrain mat and my son has started scribbling ideas for scenery. He's been watching loads of YT vids on making various ruined buildings and rocks etc. As someone that does a bit of model making (of the static but mostly the RC Plane kind) I've got a few XPS foam sheets to hack up, roll tin foil over, texture/seal and then paint.1 point -

Loss of about 200fps
Rogerborg reacted to LazzurusMan for a topic
This is probably the culprit, and the other bucking I used to test is an old knackered guarder black, that everytime I tried to install would slide further up the barrel meaning the lips wouldn't meet the nozzle. Im going to do armaments today so I'll put it all back together, bring the rifle and my chroni and pick up a fresh bucking. That's if anyone else thinks I could lose 200 fps just from the nozzle not reaching the bucking?0 points
