Read that last paragraph. The one in lighter grey. "Sound moderators on air weapons...not considered to be component parts of firearms"

  4. This is not strictly true. Not having a go cause not only is it really quite confusing but there's lots of information out there which isn't really worded that well! For example - shops selling 'real' supressors will say you need an FAC to buy cause they are technically firearms. This is technically true, sort of- but only when they are attached to a firearm. Shops will ask for proof the suppressor is on the FAC due to 1) target audience 2) arse covering. The definition of a suppressor isn't really that great imo: "any accessory to any such weapon, designed or adapted to diminish the noise or flash caused by firing the weapon" So there's no distinction between a 'real' and a 'replica' - could be a real KAC, could be the TM mk23 one, could be a coke can - the crucial bit is if it diminishes the noise or flash of a weapon and you dont have it on the FAC you are in trouble! For example - its fine for an air rifle (-12ft/lbs KE) or shotgun to have a suppressor. Anecdotally sellers will ask you what you intend to use it for - if you want to put in on a firearm they will ask for the deets of your FAC, if air rifle thats fine. Additionally, some 'real' supressors will be 'proofed' - if your FAC specificies a proof and you wanted to replace it, you would have to ask permission to do so. If your suppressor is unproofed you can replace with another unproofed supressor. The law is messy but it helps to know that it was written with poaching in mind - context is important. In short a supressor in of itself is not illegal but if you also own a firearm i would keep them very, very seperate should it raise eyebrows at an inspection. And i probably wouldn't bother getting a real one - you can still get into legal difficulty without having broken a law. Sorry for going off topic.

Order it all from specshop, asked them about a discount on got one and their free shipping made it a pretty good deal. And just like you mentioned before I saw on the Redwolf site that they mixed the RS SI stuff with Madbull clones without mention. One could see it in the item ids they use for their items on the website. Lots of stuff starting with MB- and i guess that stands for Madbull so I did not dare order from them (not that they had much in stock anyways). This gonna be a really expensive build but looking forward to it, also found the dies and taps required to rethread for a reasonable price. Hopefully the parts will start stumbling in tomorrow and during the next week, longest wait will probably be the taps and dies. For those interested the dry fit of my cqb upper. Just need the tiny screw that holds the hop base in place and an inner barrel now.

Sure thing, can post it here. Starting with the taps and dies. For the muzzle on the barrel 1/2"-28TPI https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-of-2PCS-Alloy-steel-made-UNEF-1-2-28-Die-Threading-Tools-Lathe-Model/32557657280.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 For the upper barrel nut thread 1-1/4" 18TPI (same as 1.250 -18TPI as I understand it and math says its so I guess ) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-1PC-Alloy-steel-made-UNEF-1-1-4-18-manual-die-threading-tool-for/32791107952.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 For the lower buffer thread 1-3/16" - 16TPI https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-1pc-UNC-stardard-UN1-3-16-8-HSS-machine-taps-straight-taps-for-steel/32571486354.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 Tools for holding these taps and dies (double checked with the seller) For the buffer tap (600mm one) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-of-1PC-full-steel-made-400-500-600mm-European-style-tap-wrench-screw-tap/32272099277.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 For the muzzle die https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-of-1PC-38-M12-M16-hand-circular-die-wrench-hand-hinge-Die-Threading-Tools/32669411020.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 For the barrel nut thread https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-of-1PC-65mm-M27-M36-hand-round-die-wrench-hand-hinge-Die-Threading-Tools/32790244037.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 Now I have no 100% guarantee these will work but have scoured the net and checked everywhere I could and I think it should be correct, it is also the same dimensions as the ones sold on Brownells just a lot cheaper. If one would thread a real AR/M4 I would probably go with the brownell stuff but figured for airsoft this hopefully will work just fine. I will ofc let you guys know how it all works out (or does not work out) in this thread as soon as the stuff arrives. Edit: Also when placing the order I missclicked the TPI on the barrel nut and the seller contacted me and asked if it was not supposed to 18TPI, so I guess he or she knew what it was for. For that extra bit of reassuring feeling

  12. Totally agree , you just don’t sell an ‘as new gun’ for a loss just because “it’s not fitting my game style” ? Sorry there’s a ‘real’ reason your selling it so soon . These days unless the seller has a ‘trackable’ Airsoft related on-line footprint (forums/Facebook/etc) I just won’t buy from them unless they say things like “selling cheap as X,Y,Z isn’t working or it’s old and worn out, etc” and basically are up front about poor condition and equally are asking a price to match the condition , then yes I may take the chance if it’s something I really do want . Take the TM recoil G36 I recently bought , was going very cheap on Prefired but the seller was up front with an accurate description of its condition so I was happy to risk taking a hit to get it running tip top .

  13. New is better most of the time, unless you've fired the gun you're looking to buy. It's too much of a gamble a lot of the time. There's always a reason someone is looking to sell something on, some are innocent (I'm always skint for example), or its not working or shooting correctly. Nowadays it's easy to sell it on second hand and let it be "someone else's problem".

  14. Southampton 1912 , Two men walking down the road and they see an old Jewish Gentleman walking down the road towards them , one says to the old man “morning mr Goldberg” The other shouts “Goldberg !” Runs up the road and punches the old man ! Second man says “what you do that for ? mr Goldbergs a lovely old chap !” First man , “he killed my brother !” Second man “your brother was killed when the Titanic sank !” First man “exactly he sank it !” Second man “that was an iceberg !” first man “iceberg Goldberg ? Close enough!” I thank you , try the veal I’m here till Wednesday !😁
