  1. I got it for a bit of a bargain price, but yeah, it wouldn't please the Mrs to know how much it cost me. Thankfully, she'll never know :-)

  4. I've got a few bits that might help: First off, the best thing to do is to upgrade your power source (the magazines) here's a few bits: Magazine shims, these'll help with gas efficiency. http://www.leesprecision.com/products/laser-cut-mag-shim-pack-of-4-tokyo-marui-pistols A better quality gas route seal will also help with efficiency, and is easy to install. http://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/573/s/laylax-nineball-magazine-gas-route-seal-aero-packing-2-pcs-for-hi-capa-p226-series/ This tool is essential when replacing o-rings on the gas inlets/outlets incase the magazine happens to leak after a while. http://www.milspecsolutions.co.uk/we-gas-magazine-valve-key-tool.html And we do love o-rings. These are probably better quality than the WE o-rings. http://www.milspecsolutions.co.uk/gas-blowback-parts/Tokyo-Marui-Magazine-Parts.html/Lees-Precision-Tokyo-Marui-Pistol-Magazine-Repair-Kit.html Now, parts for the pistol: The WE bucking is ok, but there are better one's out there, like this one. http://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/570/s/laylax-nineball-wide-use-air-seal-chamber-packing-for-vsr-l96-gbb-series/ Replace the barrel with a tightbore, you'll get a bit of a fps boost and some slightly better range / accuracy, remember to clean it before you put it in your gun. http://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/1479/s/laylax-nineball-6-00mm-power-barrel-97mm-for-g17-g18c-p226-gbb-series/ A stronger recoil and hammer spring will make the gun a lot snappier, if you're not sure about taking your gun apart then avoid this. http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=3660 Hope that helps.

  6. or get it built by a mofo best M4 - wow if there was just one clear winner for price, looks, performance, reliabiliity, sex appeal to women THEN WHY THE HECK DO WE ALL KEEP BUYING ALL SORTS OF GUNS ??? to put it another way - if anybody is happy with their particular gun, then to hell with what others think (reality - us big kids will never be happy & truely content, hence the "ooh that looks nice" problem arises time n time again)

    Best M4 on market?

There is no "best" don't get me wrong g&g are really really good, and for the money there combat machine series is really epic, I have one and recommend them. but like most manufacturers g&g do have lemons (like there gbbr's, avoid them like the plague!!) Overall TM seem to be the most consistent across there entire range (pistols, aeg's gbbr's etc), even if a little lower on fps.

  8. I've been playing airsoft for just over 6 months and now getting to the point of wanting to upgrade my guns. I'd like to start with my pistol which is a WE F226. The infomation is here on the internet but disjointed, is there anywhere were it has been brought together in an Idiots guide?

The fact that it looks like a gun designed by hot wheels. I might perform well but its like shagging an ugly girl. Yes she might try hard and the sex might be great but it definitely better with the light off.

    Jg g36 608

It's just a standard g36 with longer barrel You can achieve the same result by adding a barrel extenstion mate I put a suppressor on mine with a longer barrel & the handguard from a KV Also chopped down the rail so my ampiont & magnifier are it, chopped off the forward rail mount aswell

Nothing official yet on release date. Only thing known for definite is some time in the near future you can buy an aeg of the most stupid looking butt ugly gun ever made. It will probably shoot well being made by Krytac though.

  13. Yeah ok - now try that on our other half's yeah luv, you keep buying shoes, clothes, bags, coz you got no idea about fashion or looking good or the fact you fail to realise you got older and have started to go around the edges a bit so you ain't gonna fit in size 8 no more uhmmm - if you wanna say that to your missus first, then I will follow soon after I have packed my bags For the record I buy all sorts of $hite, not just G&G (that was for my jolly G&G fanboy friend - I still love G&G's btw)

    ICS rail covers

Caballero, Are these for standard 20mm Picatinny / Ris rails? By cover do you mean the curved solid plastic panel type cover, or the ladder syle that fit into the rails? The rail ladders sold by eBay for about £8 for four and solid covers about £10 pack. These below are tan colour: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-x-Rubber-Ladder-Rail-Covers-Handguard-17-slots-to-fit-21mm-rail-Airsoft-UK-/151356377436?var=450523083290&hash=item233d8b095c:m:m2SYBQICiFf4lKq927moAFw http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KNIGHT-RIS-rail-panels-covers-set-of-4-Coyote-Tan-/251810417306?hash=item3aa1120a9a:m:m3QaTm4Ru8vpF6QAnb1JhaQ I always start with eBay, and just need to refine seach, then check Amazon, and airsoft sites.

    Best M4 on market?

My own personal opinion is that the best m4 is an ICS M4, I'm sure people will comment to the likewise, but my reasoning is that the stock hop unit is really good, the turbo 3000 motor many people seem to "upgrade" too, but they come stock in the newer (I believe post 2008, correct me if I'm wrong) guns. And having owned and abused 3 of them (granted I have sold all of them) the gears have shown literally no sign of fatigue, and I don't think I've ever seen a broken gear set. The split gearbox is just the icing on the cake making repairs a total doddle. My 2p

    G&G V2 Gearbox Spec

it's fine as it is, you not have to hit 349.9999fps TM's often are about 300-ish but still bad ass mofo's I'd rather have 300fps accuracy than 349.99999 all over the f*cking place give barrel a little clean may help (dirty barrels lose fps) (if you are not sure just clean 85% of barrel length to avoid dirt/contaminating hop bucking) eventually if/when she drops below 300 or it don't seem so great then start to consider options but for now: deans & clean barrel with help

  21. Dont think proof of employment would cover it otherwise no museum employee who plays airsoft would ever need to get a site membership. You need to get the museum to draft a letter explaining that they are for display/collection purposes then take that along to a shop. If they accept it as a defence then they will probably want to be able to contact the museum to verify and maybe even deliver the items as some sort of proof of where they are going.

  25. PDi W-hold rubber, from Xfire. 4.40 euro. They had free shipping, and mine has begun to wear out and has been damaged(Left the gun in the damp, cold attic, with a little bit of mud, dust and water contamination ) I find it offensive that small cast chunks of rubber cost me 10+ euro,PDi ones are much more lighter on my wallet

  27. Had the pleasure of using a Scar-L at a game recently. Very good performance. Especially at 1J,the Irish legal limit. Shot pretty much better than any other ootb AEG at 1J I've used,2-3 round bursts were hitting pretty much everything in average engagement distances of 30-40 meters, even through foliage. The recoil just makes it a bit more satisfying to use. It's cool to have. While it's nothing near a GBB,has good passable feedback for every shot you make. When firing in small full auto bursts it's much better, single fire it's 'meh'. For me though, the biggest factor is the bolt stop. Yes,you can rig up a system on a bog standard AEG but the Marui system works very well. It's very much the most practical part on these guns aside from the good stock performance. I found it much more fun and much more efficient because of the bolt stop. Now the price- they are overpriced. That's the case with pretty much all marui products. Mags are pricey too and are often out of stock, though if you're lucky you can grab them when japanese and asian online shops have free shipping for good prices I've been told. Personally,if I had the money I would definitely get one,I'd avoid the AKs and the G36 as they lack bolt stop, and the AKs have some external durability issues. If i'm paying high money for a recoil I'd get a model that has both advertised features.
