so what you're saying is that if someone draws an anime poster of a character holding a particular type of gun... you'll be more inclined to want to buy it? DO NOT EVER GO TO JAPAN, YOU WILL SPEND ALL THE MONEY YOU HAVE EVER HAD AND EVER WILL HAVE ON RUBBISH.4 points -
i started to wear kneepads after learning the pain of kneeling on bbs on concrete floors.3 points

I always use knee pads, yes you don't need them but you don't need mag pouches, pockets would do the job. It's nice to have the comfort of them.3 points

Another area where it isn't consistent is air guns. You can get a 6ft/lb (8j I think) pistol that fires either pellets or steel BB's and get them in real steel look and feel without any UKARA, the only provision being a face to face sale. Admittedly its not an assault rifle but if you get a considerably less dangerous airsoft pistol (1j and plastic BBs) its got to be two toned. That makes no logical sense at all. But as a responsible adult and airsofter I jump through the governments hoops when it comes to firing and owning firearms. I bring no attention to myself, I don't share the hobby with my family or most of my friends and I just keep it under wraps. Our country has a cultural aversion to guns because some horrible people have done some horrific things with them. For now at least I am happy that I can still get a RIF airsoft gun and go run around and play solder and shoot at least some real steel guns in a rifle club.3 points -

Usually the weak springs that airsoft manufacturers put behind their delta rings which are to fault there. Not sure how to go about getting some decent ones in the UK apart from buying some RS delta ring assemblies from Midway (which is what I ended up doing). You'd also need a barrel nut spanner and some good needle nose pliers to change the thing. If it's movement back and forth try packing out the front edge with some tape, if you keep it to the very front edge it'll be hidden under the front handguard retainer cap. Not exactly a professional gunsmithing technique but the problem is brought about by iffy/variable airsoft manufacturing specs and tolerances so bodge solutions are required on occasion.2 points -
Bulle MOLLE Recon Chest Harness
baz-1988 reacted to jaeproductions for a topic
This MOLLE rig from Bulle is available in Olive as well as tan and I would strongly reccommend it to any beginner to airsofting. In comparison to other vests on the market, the Recon Chest Harness is an excellent choice. Of course made from Cordura, I'm presuming 1000D, you can rest assured this will not break on you, and isn't a cheap China-soft "knock-off". As the title suggests, it's primarily intended for a lightweight reconaissance loadout, as with the idea behind MOLLE you can completely customise your vest to personal preference. Therefore, you can do away with unwanted pouches and only attach the ones you need, making the platform very adaptable. On this particular product, not only is there plenty of webbing all around the rig, but two huge inner pockets. In addition, the flap in which you would usually mount an admin pouch can be tucked into the vest when not in use, and secured by two press studs. Needless to say, consider purchasing some pouches along with your tactical vest / chest rig / harness for your magazines and additional equipment such as grenades or ammunition. I'd reccommend airsoft-club for pouches, as although everything is Chinese-made, it's generally pretty good and a good price. (Remember you've got to pay quite a lot for shipping) Delivery times are long however, some packages will take over two weeks to be delivered, so bear that in mind. Alternatively, you could get a triple STANAG or MP5 magazine pouch (or other obviously) from Flecktarn.co.uk (where I purchased my harness) It's more expensive but their delivery is absolutely great and overall in general you'll receive superb service. I also bought a Bulle Olive Admin Pouch, which I might also do a review of. I'm sorry if this review wasn't great as I've haven't done a lot of writing other reviews or anything recently but as aforementioned I'd like to recommend to anybody, especially beginner airsofters looking for a great value rig for their loadout. Need help deciding on some high end guns
Ian_Gere reacted to Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies for a topic
If a gun was truly high end it would come with heavy gauge wiring,Deans & some sort of basic mosfet to allow you to use non shit discharge lipos. Gearbox wise as long as AOE is corrected than that's even better. Lonex already do AOE correction OOTB and G&P come with deans. Higher tier lonex also comes with solver plated ultra low resistance wiring throughout and some JGs I;ve seen recently came with very thick wiring. So manufacturers are getting close to becoming proper high end but It's just not really there. It;s funny how often lower end guns tend to come with things that higher end guns don;t have. We often pay more for the brand name and good externals. Sadly airsoft manufacturing does not have any set standard, hell, most companies have trouble keeping tolerances proper between batches so that shows the sad little state our industry is in. Hence, lots of DIY stuff about to get the gun coming with stuff it should have in the first place.1 point -
Load-Out / Loadout Picture topic

Just to clear something up, MealZ, that's a GP-7 bag - the GP-5 bag is long and thin. I use a GP-5 bag as a dump pouch and a GP-7 one to carry my ghillie veil. External kneepads are great for kneeling in wet mud etc., much better than built in which cannot but wick up water into the cloth. Not necessary, but wet kecks all day are a bummer if you can't change.1 point -
Fair point! I swapped out the Prometheus barrel for the crappy Element 6.04 and changed the cylinder head and nozzle, re shimmed and re built the gearbox and canged the black shark rubber for the clear and BOOM!1 point

565 Photos some video's on the fb group Oops, i should add my impressions: there are a number of issues with it being a new site / working out which games work etc., adding cover outside, blanking sight lines; but it has the potential to be an amazing place and the team, Justin in particular, are well open to suggestions to make the place better and willing to change things immediately when it appears to be needed; i was far from on form and the reds with whom i was teamed mainly got slaughtered, but i still enjoyed the day; it's well run for the most part1 point

CON reacted to AK47frizzle for a topic
Do a martial art, the training you are forced to do builds up strength pretty well. I do ninjutsu and now i'm stronger than most people in my year at school. If you can't be arsed, then stay at home, squats, do a lot of them, then when your legs are painful, squat down halfway until your legs are perpendicular and hold it. It's extraordinarily painful but try to hold it for 30 secs. Eventually add more time to hold it. You can go hill walking for 8 hours everyday for 2 weeks and your legs will be pumped. I went on a 2 week camp with my school where we did at least 11 hours of hill walking everyday and my muscles on my legs came bulging out afterwards.....1 point -
I actually really like it. I really like stuff like this too.1 point

Personally I've found that kettlebells and some heavy deadlifts have really helped me a lot with airsoft. Kettlebells are great for cardio and strength, and you don't even need a heavy kettlebell or spend ages working out with it. 30 minutes three times a week is plenty to stay in good shape1 point

Yeah Happy, I agree: it's the enemy! I don't think it would be too difficult to armour most of it, but the turret on top lifts up to change the camera angle and the armature is a much more difficult proposition...1 point

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies for a topic
I wouldn't give up on it so soon. Check out some yank forums where a lot of Polarstar techies hide. Some guys like 'SilentObvervant' from reddit are really knowledgeable,as is Bingo from Bingo airsoft works. AirsoftMechanics is also a great place to discuss those kinds of issues. There could be a myriad of issues and might be easy to fix. Could be nozzle alignment issues or it could be that the Fusion engine itself is not releasing the same amount of air all the time due to an issue with the poppet valve or something.1 point -

good guys and bad buys being allowed to wear the same camo pattern is a friendly fire nightmare waiting to happen... even with the MPF having one half as a solid colour you'll have problems. For example, you're fighting in some woods and you see a guy wearing a DPM top but you can't see his legs, what to do? I'd shoot him, but I'm a bit of a dick like that! Brit tac have a good idea with their shemaghs, red force all have to wear a black&white shemagh, looks suitably terroristy without resorting to armbands and allows people to instantly ID the other team.1 point -
