  1. Seriously though a lot a cheap sights aren't designed with gas blowback guns in mind so actually the answer isn't as daft as it sounds. Have a look at the higher end ones and maybe at sights listed for airguns/target shooting.

  3. The Warrior RICAS is a repro so we've got some kinda gear clone-ception going on there. Handy when these circumstances crop up though. Remember people, unless you're minted don't have kids - Cuts in to pew-pew-action money.

Metal reciever yes. Metal is rather glossy however feels nice, solid gun. Internals are just as the Double Eagle shotguns and pretty good range however you can't use anything but 0.20g bb's otherwise range is rather short (fixed hop-up). Throws 0.20g bb's a good 35-40 metres though.

  5. Hmm you say that but when guys turn around with an led tourch on their gun nv's would blind you. Is a great site. Defo recomend to anyone. And seperates men from the boys with a full auto anywhere and 350fps limit! Me, my bro and a few other lads took an m249 at about 5/6foot to the back of the calves, stung like mad but was a great mass kill by the m249 gunner! Im new to the sport and may have it wrong but in my experiance with other interests its always seemed that when things dull down and become mundane its genrally the atittude of others that drags you down. Take a break completly, pack all the gear away, wait till you start to itch (which you will) then go some place new and meet a new crowd that inspires you to play.

So I was at a game earlier today and I was told by a lad (with his friends then crowding around and nodding in agreement), that I had "the coolest shotgun in Scotland" Thanked him and his friends for the compliment but what do you guys think?

  9. Get yourself on eBay, when you need small amounts of material supplies like velcro, tape, batteries, zip ties, small tools etc etc it's the easiest way to get hold of stuff. Should be able to find some 3M branded high strength sticky-backed stuff that'll stay put.

  10. Having sold the mk12/18 hybrid last night....i kinda wanted something new...which is when a mate of mine text me to say he had found out his missus was pregnant and he needed to sell off some of his stuff. So I popped round tonight and ended up walking away with Cyma 046 with the tactical set (as well as the wood) and folding foregrip 3 high cap mags 2 batteries Repro warrior ricas compact with fast pistol mag holders And then as i was leaving he threw his broken AA g17 at me and told me to use it incase I needed parts for mine...all for £160 😁

  11. Don't buy airsoft red dots for guns with recoil. Even if it's expensive, it's not built for recoil, it will probably fail after some time. Get a red dot that is for real steel guns. There was a topic about it not long ago and there were links for excellent red dots in airsoft red dot price range. Not only they handle recoil well, the red dot itself is way better than the airsoft ones.

  12. Hey bud If you want to go into a shop, try First & Only retail shop in Swinton. It's only down the Lancs for you, and you can have a look at some decent gear (rather than pretty pics on internet). Also, they can give you the advice you need on building a defence for owning a RIF.

  14. welcome sir.... http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/12854-new-player-guides-info/ check ian's guide as you don't need to spend mega money perhaps hire or consider a decent starter from a decent shop avoid ANY site with " BB " in its name - the stuff they sell is often low power plinkers that don't last or perform well if used at a skirmish site on average a decent new gun will be £120 to £150 anything less is not gonna be what we might call decent starter gun trust me - myself and numerous others bought lower end stuff from BB places and regretted it read up a bit and ask away - welcome to the grown up toy gun club

    Moving to Sheffield

Sadly, can't recommend an area of Sheffield to live in... As for airsoft sites, the only ones I really have any experience of are the ones run by Skirmish Airsoft, namely The Stan (Sheffield City Centre), Wentworth CQB (about 30 mins drive into Rotheham) or Skirmish Woodland (about 30 mins drive into Worksop). The Stan: Very large former Stanley Tools factory set across several levels. Good mix of CQB and a little bit of range, some areas well lit, some almost pitch black. Skirmishing is almost wholly indoors, as weapons can't be fired outside due to access from other people who rent other parts of the site (not too much of an issue to be honest). Some choke points can be fun or really frustrating, depending on your mood, but generally a really good site. Single shot only throughout the venue. Wentworth CQB: Game days are once a month and numbers are strictly limited. Run across 5 small former accommodation blocks this really is CQB, with engagement distances measured in single digits due to the nature of the buildings. The outside areas are also in play, so there is a great mix of both really close-up and ranged skirmishing. Not really for the faint hearted. As The Stan, single shot only throughout the site. Skirmish Woodland: Typical established woodland environment shared between paintball and airsoft, with several different 'themed' areas, such as a village, a compound, barricades and a fort. Huge site, which does involved some walking and everything is covered in paint residue from the paintballers. Nice variation in games which are always well paced. There are several common themes to Skirmish - they employ Marshals that are professional and who actually receive training for their role. They are all friendly and will have a chat with you and are sociable. I have never really seen a marshal go over the top when dealing with a potential issue; problems are dealt with as soon as practicable and without resorting to shouting; I have never seen a marshal attempt to humiliate a player. The players who attend are normally very sociable as well. Woodland have hire players who sometimes take a whilst to 'come out of their shell' but The Stan and Wentworth don't have hires, and the people who play here are really are sociable - whenever I go skirmishing on my own I always end up chatting with somebody and having a laugh. This can be quite dangerous though, as I have often had to rush to get ready for the next game as I have spent too long talking There are other sites around Sheffield or fairly nearby, but as I haven't played at these sites it would be unfair to comment about them, but I am sure there are others on here who could recommend other places.

  17. Krytac has put together an amazing well made gun, inside and out. From what I have seen you wont be disappointed but its still too early for me to be reviewing it or really praising it too much. Once I have pumped 10k rounds at least through it I will have a better idea of if they really did make the ideal gun for £300 or not.

  18. I think you should try a new site. Drive right down south and play at ucap bunker. Scares the shit out of you playing in near darkness and at some games total darkness. If that doesnt make you buzz you defo know you have made a right choice to stop.

  19. ^^ This It would most probably burn down the car. However it is perfectly fine to link the charger to the car battery and charge the lipo from it. It will light up green when finished.

  20. Right, you've misunderstood - the battery charger is powered by the car battery, you don't try and charge the LiPo directly from the car battery.

  21. Hi See here for Wires, you need to search for PTFE or Teflon or Silver Wires when searching ebay, they are harder to find than crappy Silicon Wires which i find are too thick for V2 Gearboxes, its a little stiffer and therefore harder to route but once bent in place it stays there. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Hollow-State-Electronics/cable-wire-/_i.html?_fsub=1754266013&_sid=22307073&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322 That's where i get my wires for Airsoft from. Specifically this one for black wires: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-19-0-3-PTFE-teflon-silver-plated-copper-wire-/381194589922?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item58c0f7d6e2 And this one for red: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Red-19-0-3-PTFE-teflon-silver-plated-copper-wire-/171688283142?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27f96b4c06 as for the air nozzle i think it definitely is a normal M4 one, cant be 100% sure as i dont own the SCAR AEG (such as the one seen in the video, its actually my mates).

  24. The CBA happens. I dropped out of airsoft around 2004 for lots of reasons... massive sh*t storm over the proposed VCRA, retailers ripping people off, lots of backstabbing and general nastiness online (I used to run a large airsoft forum, and got fed up with all the emails threatening to sue me over comments made) and the general lack of decent sportsmanship. I got back into airsoft last year when I found a small CQB site near me. Professionally operated with good players. I don't take airsoft too seriously. I have my Boomstick to make me smile, and if I feel like messing about I will use a pistol (got myself a nice, almost ridiculous WE 7 inch Dragon...). Mix it up a bit... do what you want. Try a new site, meet new people; you'll be surprised how much that helps as well
