    Report Scammers here

Hey All, As most are aware we've got a constant battle on our hands with scammers, in particular they like to target the "Wanted" ads. Case in point a member yesterday posted up looking for a reasonably rare bit of kit, so I warned him to be wary of any offers he receives, sure enough today he confirms a scammer contacts him with said bit of kit, his username was Croshting475, upon checking his profile I see he'd received negative feedback from 4 members approximately 2 weeks ago, which is great, it all helps others. BUT the guy was still here, still trying to con people, as negative feedback on its own doesn't automatically let the admin team (or us minions) know there's a scammer in our midst. So I'd appreciate it if you identify a possible scammer, stick a post on this thread, ideally give his username with the @ symbol in front of it, for example @Tackle, as that makes it easier to go straight to his profile, we'll look at it, maybe pm you for further info, & if needed ban his thieving ass?. Thanks guys, & remember, NEVER paypal friends & family, or bank transfer, no matter what sob story they give you. Cheers Mark

  2. I've always speculated that sites don't want to convert to joule based rules due to logistics, it's easy to tell someone to unload BBs and put in a few 0.2 BBs then look at the glowing box and read the number, but given most chronos are not very user friendly, if you have a long queue of people trying to get through and everyone's using a different weight, it'll take ages if you gotta change the settings after every person, or buy a bunch of chronos for each weight. I never thought it's from ignorance, I was proven wrong by this site owner.

  3. Tbh, joule chrono'ing isn't difficult. Takes about 5 minutes to print out a strip with the raw fps figure that different common bb weights would be at the site limit. Likewise, a few speedloaders with common weights to double check if you want to be real paranoid. Or even if you don't want to bother with that, just keep the method exactly the same but use a heavier weight instead

  4. A combination of that and laziness. Even if you don't want to mess about with changing settings on the chrono it only takes a few seconds to look at a chart like the one posted by ButcherBill

    What have you made?

Actual shotgun barrels that fire shot down them can, comparatively, be notoriously weak when put up against any pistol or rifle barrel; just blasting airsoft grade blanks shouldn't really test any steel that's not just chinese factory floor scrapings mushed together.

  11. Im sure it would be, the base that holds the charges is far more substantially made than the Dynatex loading cap The insert is a steel tube that slips into the stainless base of the SF-DI But as it’d be getting rolled towards someone….. “Safety First” At least it consumed a couple of hours today, a nice distraction ?

  12. Yep 'GEN M3' i.e. Gen 3. PTS did Gen 1 and 2 PMAGs and the EMAG when they had the license from Magpul, but lost said license before the M3 was released, hence the fictional EPM line. There's Gen 3 mag replicas for AEGs out there as you've seen from various airsoft brands under all sorts of funky airsoft names, just gotta click the AEG mag section of a few stores and squint at all the pics. Beta Project offerings were definitely a budget line alongside the proper PTS mags back in the day, I reckon they might've been STAR/ARES OEM. When PTS had the license their Magpul mags were in £15+/ea (or whatever the early 10s price equivalent would be to an EPM now taking in to account COVIDflation) but were fantastic in both plastic construction and feeding/function, whereas it was something like £30-40 for a pack of 6 Beta mags that look 'the same' but they were a cheaper plastic and were all over the place in terms of whether they actually worked or not. I got an 40 rnd style Gen M3 purely for pics, think it's ARES.. maybe CYMA. It is, mediocre, but the plastic is ok at least and it'll probably feed a few rounds.

Exactly, sent it back in the end, don’t know if it’s a common fault on these, I did ask the shop but they just refunded without answering.

  18. Yeah, I will literally be throwing caution to the wind but in a safe controlled manner it’s just a shim in a stainless body, I can’t find the manufacturers one for sale anywhere But point taken, I’ll maybe just use them in the Dynatex which is designed for the 12G’s?

  19. It's also a good idea to pack a hi viz vest in your bag to aid being spotted in emergencies. Plus it's useful to avoid getting twatted if you end up being out longer than expected, and have to trek along tight country roads in the dark.

  20. i also have this on a 1911 except the gun is almost new. all 3 mags do it. any idea?

  21. Spent a couple of hours “crafting” an adapter out of steel scaffold pipe to allow my SF-DI to accept 12g booms as well as the primer charges Shall find out on Sunday if it’s a success ?

  22. Except that a bout of the shits and spewing your ring from drinking contaminated water exacerbates your dehydration. So it had better be an extreme emergency to drink water you know to be contaminated to "survive".

    VFC M249 Thread

Yeah the stanag was tight to get in, but ok. The box mags just popped out after the shortest of bursts. So I ordered the mag port and heat shield. I will try it out this weekend once i work out how im storing mags and the spare box-gas mag.

Cheers, someone on discord also helped. God, that's a little bugger to get on and off without swearing. Anhoo, its done. Amazing how such a small difference changes it from an expensive paperweight to usable.

  31. yeah, I think I got a good deal. it had a torn hop rubber (swapped for a Green G&G) and it would fire on safe but that's a known issue and took about 5 minutes to fix. It also has the Wii Tech hop up fitted so a nice little bonus as well.

You'll only truly know if you own one. They were the formula 1 racing car of the Airsoft world.....when they worked they were amazing compared to everything else on the market at the time. They sounded amazing, could have great range, very fast trigger response, real steal sized receivers and pistol grip etc. true precision engineering. However, they were susceptible to breaking (especially when they got wet), the techs did (and do) charge a fortune for their time, mags were finicky, parts were expensive and they needed regular servicing. They forged the way on a lot of things. The competition has improved massively, the range, rate of fire and trigger response (MOSFETs weren't common, now are) are all much improved on an off the shelf aeg than they were back then, the performance gap is a lot less, but the price difference and now rarity of parts mags etc is still big. That's without considering genuine upgrades. Gbbrs have also improved, so if those real steel, split receiver functions are important to you, they'll probably scratch that itch better and for at lot less cash. There is also now the gbls das, which looks to try to fill that "milsim" gap but with more functionality at a similar price. In the day, people who owned them swore by them.....but I've seen lots transfer over to upgraded tm recoils and gbbrs. There's still a few die hards out there, but my opinion is and has been that it's a dying platform

  37. See, that's the thing. I enjoy the "proper" survival shows too, but seeing Terry from Essex who's done a bit of camping and reckons that living off whatever he can find on a tiny island in the middle of typhoon season would be a "piece of piss", fail miserably and potentially lose a finger while trying to chop firewood just ignites something in me. I believe the Germans call it Schadenfreude.

  38. At least ‘survival’ shows specially select applicants for such skills as sleeping in the sun and making some entertainment Meet David Lakota, ex US special forces* and the joy of his Doomsday preppers appearance. As he lives in Hawaii he has a plan to get to safety in the event of a tsunami, he has skills, he won’t just take the obvious route heading to the high ground ….. * Some people think that the film ‘the men who stare at goats’ was a fictional comedy film. David is from a later generation of the real unit - and due to our team name invited us to join his “New earth army” - we politely declined I did end up eventually blocking him, but I miss our conversations https://ejmas.com/jnc/jncart_channon_0200.htm

    THE TM MWS thread

Getting close to completion on this old skool Delta build now. ? Managed to source a genuine Eotech 551 (a little bit battered and bruised) but it works perfectly and probably has a few stories to tell. Excuse the horrid plastic lens cover, but i really don't want the old girl getting shot out! Sat on a clone Larue ECOS-C riser, I'd love a genuine one but can't find anywhere in the UK to get hold of one. ? Both suit this rifle brilliantly and I'm really pleased with how this project is turning out. Looking forward to the time when I can actually get out there and get some use out of it! ?
