Lambda Defence with SD kit, Marayama and Archwick GBB's. On Vorsk 6 gas and using .2g BB's we get 340 FPS on the Lambda, 320 on the Archwick and 315 on the Marayama. The Lambda is the softest shooting and could do with some beefier bolt return springs and it's a bit underwhelming to fire. If you are after quality and performance then get the Archwick as it's outstanding. I tried it with 0.3g's and it had no issues lifting them and the hop still had more life in it and I think it probably could do 0.36g BB's out the box. If the straight mag version is what you want, but on a budget, them Marayama are (or already have) releasing a straight mag version with the spare mags around £25 overseas which is about 1/2 the price of the Archwick mags but sadly I doubt they will be compatible between GBB's. Oh and the Lambda magwell is annoying as VFC and Raven mags can move forwards and backwards, sometimes releasing a little gas, which is a bit annoying. Some sticky backed foam inside the magwell will sort it.6 points -

I don’t think it identifies as a carbine any more 😂 Probably the most problematic build I’ve had, but it’s finally done! Umarex G36C with a custom barrel extension (It’s about .4” too long 😬) Kurz style gas block, Ultima H-Key rail, SOTAC (I believe) EOTech and magnifier and a LLM when it arrives. Stock needs drilling to fit as the Umarex one isn’t correct for the impression, hence it just “resting” and the fire selector markings need removing and replaced with the “SEF” Reference attached, Luftlandeaufklärungskompanie 2603 points

Good to bump into @Asomodaiat Driver Wood on Saturday. Being on opposite teams, meant we each traded a few eliminations - including a memorable pistol duel between us due to being inside our our MEDs (I lost that one!). Cracking morning in the good weather, and an opportunity to try out the HPA SR15 pieced together from various parts - which was performing pleasingly. Ended up running it on 80PSI (its' got a mancraft PDIK inside it) in order to get it below the DMR limits of 1.88J - which didn't seem to make the engine struggle at all, despite the Mancraft website stating that minimum PSI for their engines was 100....2 points -

This user a little over a week ago tried offering me his "GE M4A1" worth "£350" for my marked as sold WE PDW but I explained I not only had sold and marked as such the PDW I didnt want a GE. Now 10 days later he has messaged me again on the same advert marked as sold offering me a "WE M4A1" worth "£450". So just be careful I have reported this but I get a feeling he is just casting lines hoping to get a catch. And then today...1 point -
All of the foams do the same basic job of providing padding. Simple basic foam, uncut will happily compress to hold and protect your equipment. You can put pretty much anything in the case, in any position and unless it’s too thick preventing you from forcing shut and as long as you don’t put in too much equipment in too close then it will hold and protect. The items may slip around a bit bumping into each other depending on how close and how tight the fit is vs how hefty the items are. You can cut in to standard foam to make pockets to avoid your equipment sliding and to make shutting easier Standard foam can be cut with a knife with good or bad looking results being dependant on how carefully you cut - or use a laser cut A single piece/layer of foam can be more difficult to cut neatly into the right depths for various different items Pick and pluck is typically used in two pieces/layers - one layer as standard foam, and the other piece/layer as a precut grid with small points uncut. You plan your layout then ‘pick and pluck’ ripping out the squares that you want to place your equipment in. This results in a pixelated style, or you can cut some of the grid with a knife (or laser cut - but if you’re laser cutting then you’ve defeated the object of using pick & pluck) Shadow foam is a brand, which comes in multiple colours, eg standard grey on the top layer and a bright colour in the lower layer(s)*. Therefore when cut to fit your equipment an empty slot is obvious as you can see a coloured ‘shadow’ Shadow foam is inspired by the wall mounted shadow boards traditionally used in workshops, schools and prisons to make it obvious when a tool is missing * Note that I have referred to ‘pieces’ and ‘layers’. These are not technical terms, but just me referring to how many blocks of foam you put into the case. Normally you could think of it as a top and bottom for the lid and base. But the bottom / base could be two pieces of foam such as with pick & pluck - one whole block approx half the depth of the base of your case and a second on top that you cut/pluck apart to form the gaps that you insert your equipment in A single piece of ShadowFoam is made of a number of layers. When you cut the shape you then peel out a layer of foam. A thin piece of equipment can be accommodated with one layer peeled out a thicker piece of equipment needs more than one layer peeled out to give greater depth. I struggled with the laundry basket until I finally dropped it. Newly laundered clothes went everywhere. My wife did nothing to help. She just watched it all unfold.1 point -
Same here on the Gate preference, I only went Perun because the G&G one would only work on an 11.1 and wasn't programmable. Of course, fitting a mosfet that can only be programmed using the fire selector on a gun that cannot physically be set to auto is...challenging.1 point

My 308's a G2, I've not had the gearbox apart so can't comment on gears. It is however, ridiculously easy to make use of the fact it's already got an electronic trigger and fit a Perun ETU++, which is what I've done. If it gives me a reason to open the box up then maybe I'll think about something else, until then it's fine as it is.1 point

Thats a CGS (Cyma Gas System) which is just T8 Shit renamed. It wont work with your MWS (not well atleast). Avoid any and everything T8 / CGS. Its stupid that they're still trying to market T8 stuff as MWS compatible.1 point

Saturday we had a full day private party booking, a video gaming community that has grown up around a youtube review channel, and get together to play airsoft once a year. They are online acquaintances, some of whom had never met in real life before. Some had their own kit some rented. I have to say, they were brilliant to marshal for. The mood all day was fantastic, there was not one single complaint about hit calling, in fact quite the opposite: In the last minute of one game a player grabbed the objective and made an heroic sprint. Afterwards i overheard an opfor player say: "I'm pretty sure I saw my shots bouncing off you" And I thought, uh oh, here we go. But he followed up with: "But sometimes when you're running like that you just don't feel it". Why aren't all airsofters like him these days? Sunday I managed to play, instead of marshaling for a change. One of my closest friends has been out of the game for months, and came back yesterday, so I was glad to be out there with him, and we had a great time. Ran my TM MWS for a few games, and my Secutor (well, the exterior is) DMR for a few. We got absolutely SPANKED by the red team, but had fun in the process. A couple of the MWS mags were gassing out on the first round, so I'll need to sort that out, but overall a great day. Photo title: "Oooh, shoots you sir!"1 point -

God saw that Adam was lonely and He said to him, “Do not be downcast. My work is not yet finished. I shall make for you a companion, and she shall have the gentle voice of an angel, the beauty of a summer sunrise, a kind heart that is sensitive to your every need before you even know you have it, and a glorious body that will be a delight to hold; and I shall call this Woman.” “That sounds wonderful!” breathes Adam. “Yes,” says God, “but it’s going to cost you an arm, a leg, an eye, an ear, and your right testicle.” Adam digests this in silence and says, “Hypothetically, Lord… what could I get for just a rib?”1 point -
Of all the places I could've got them, Hong Kong was not a place I was expecting to find trousers in my size. Picked up the last pair they had on WGCShop anywhere near my size (only had Large-Long, didn't have any larger sizes in Long length unfortunately), but they're a bit tight around my fat waist at the moment. Good thing is they fit around my unreasonably sized legs and they're long enough, so all I have to do is lose weight and they'll be great. Finding desert marpat stuff is a nightmare already without me being 6'5 and chonky, so I'm glad I picked these up.1 point

It has a higher Silicone content so not optimal to use. The Silicone ends up on the hop rubber and negates the back spin.1 point -
A smear of silicon grease can do wonders there. 1.3J from an M100 and a stock (but stretched-and-greased) CYMA gearbox and nozzle. Yes, quivering on the edge of a Section 5. The difference between nearly sealed and really sealed is remarkable.1 point
