    Glocks

Airsoft is missing at least two thirds of the middle and 100% of the models in anything over 40S&W calibre as no one has made the wider frames and slides of the 10mm or .45cal glocks . For an overview of most airsoft Glock pistols there is this video

  6. Thought I would check out the forum as I plan on getting back into airsoft, can't believe people are still arguing about joule creep. Nice to see nothing changes, bloody airsofters will argue about anything.

  7. Stock length has a big effect on arm tiredness. Mrs TPH uses an AKS with the stock collapsed. Its all metal, but holding the weight closer to her, she does fine all weekend at milsims/filmsims. She's 4'11" too. I play at Snetterton sometimes. My son uses a VZ Skorpion with a li-po there. Ultra light and with a drum hi-cap you only need the one mag.

    Gun picture thread

Bought the S&T HK416 PDW with the idea of stealing the front end for my TM 416C recoil but sadly the rail doesn't fit. Since that meant I was keeping the S&T in one piece I binned the terrible PDW stock with a HK marked stock I had floating around and stuck on some HK iron sights as well. turns out it's quite a nice budget AEG.

  9. did a couple of things 3D printer related. First up, as I'm an idiot I managed to break the stock catch on my Well PPK20. Well make the part replaceable but currently there aren't any parts available so I designed one and sent it off to be printed in aluminum. I got a few extras for when I'm an idiot again. Next up I printed some of the impact grenades in a luminescent filament I had floating around. and lastly I designed a ammo tin styled box for the impacts for no other reason that I wanted to use my laser cutter.

  10. Ahoy and welcome. Which type of MP5 are you using at the moment? Just trying to get a feel for what you consider heavy or light. If you can find one, the plastic Galaxy MP5K (G5K) is comically light, while still being a surprisingly usable gun in CQB or woodland. if you're playing purely CQB, pistols are indeed usable as primaries. P90s are a decent shout, and p-chan is best chan.

  12. An aeg uses a piston in a chamber that creates... high pressure air behind the BB. You'll be telling us that hpa breaks peoples fingers next. So, it was Air Sniper in disguise all along!

The L85 Cylinder head is non-standard so it's hard to find aftermarket/upgrade ones. Here's a link to, what I believe is, a direct replacement should you ever need it.

  17. This thread is getting ridiculous. Five pages or arguing must be a record. The reality is its his site and he can make whatever rules he wants. If you don't agree then don't go. End of Jeeez ?

  18. The Dunning-Kruger effect is strong in you. You really have done an excellent job of ensuring that nobody here will ever play at your site and, if it comes up in conversation, will warn people off. Good luck with your business empire.

  19. You really are overly sensitive aren't you? I fully understand joule creep; what I do not understand is your bizarre approach of limiting the power output of HPA weapons below that of all others, including GBB. Oh, get over yourself.

  20. Classic appeal to emotion. When people disagree with your "rationale", you portray those with dissenting views as wishing to inflict harm on others, thus making you a victim. To whom? Your echo chamber? You are trying to encourage people to play at your site yet your responses serve to do the opposite. I sincerely do wish your site well though you really could learn about PR and how not to do a Ratner, or hire someone more adept at marketing and promotions.

  21. Are you reading the same posts we're all reading? Nobody is attacking you as a person, only the completely obvious avoidance of answering the question. Pasting something from a website does nothing to explain the arbitrary limits your site enforces, and shows more that you don't really understand what's going on.

  22. @Sneakyduck I suspect that very long post where you alledgely detail your knowledge of joules/fps vs BB weight etc etc, was actually copied & pasted from another source, but I'll take that as a positive in the hope that you've taken the time to source it, you'll hopefully absorb some of the info & put it in to practice within your empire. As for the rest, I'll wait for someone with a decent reputation within the Airsoft community to give the site a try & hopefully review it afterwards. If your doing things right regards to safety, decent Marshalls etc, then I wish you well, all everyone wants is decent well run gamedays that continue to show Airsoft in a positive light.

  24. Imagine coming on an Airsoft forum, and thinking experienced members with years of standing don't know about Joule Creep and using Joules over FPS for chrono.
    1 point
  25. I realise they are the site rules. I merely consider them asinine and arbitrary. The world doesn't owe you understanding. When you accuse people of lacking humility when they have taken the time to express their disagreement, you come across as sanctimonious at best. It's curious that when you said my response is "beyond logic", you said absolutely nothing to address my point about liability insurance. What else did you skip reading?

  26. Do you enjoy making yourself appear foolish? A couple of friends and I carried out experiments on joule creep using AEGs, GBBs and HPAs years ago when we were marshalling at a site and HPA was just becoming a thing. Joule creep exists; however, its potential negative effects can be managed through proper chronoing procedures, random in-game checking and developing a culture where HPA users are required to reset and lock their systems if the temperature changes. It seems that you have chosen not to do that, but have chosen to impose an arbitrary rule on HPA users. Why don't you do the same to GBB users? Their guns are also susceptible to joule creep.
    1 point
  27. Why should people be willing to let go of misinformation being portrayed as fact? Nobody here has said that joule creep is akin to Bigfoot or the Yeti. The majority of us are aware of joule creep it that is more prevalent in GBB and HPA. The limit imposed on it by your site is still arbitrary, regardless of the narrative that it's in the interest of safety. One can argue it sends a message that marshals are either disinclined to or incapable of doing adequate chrono checks so one can question what else there is a reluctance or incapacity to do in the name of ensuring safety. There's no obvious mention of liability insurance on the website either. I've played at games on hot days where the host openly stated it's possible that GBB and HPA players could find their guns running with more energy by midday because of the higher ambient temperature. He didn't tuck his tail between his legs and say HPA and GBB users had to handicap themselves, he had them retest when day time temperatures peaked and had players adjust their guns and retest a second time if they were found to be hot. Nobody bitched about it and they acted honestly. It's quite the contradiction to point out that GBB and HPA are more subject to joule creep than AEG while only applying a greater cap to HPA. I've got no dog in this fight as I don't own any GBBRs or HPA guns though I disagree with the rationale of imposing the caps in place against HPA users compared to AEG and GBB. Might I suggest that when you try to engage with people, you don't dismiss different points of view as "conspiracy theories"? Sometimes you learn more from those with dissenting views than those in an echo chamber.

  28. I am pointing out that your statements do not validate your approach to HPA; that is not being argumentative. There is neither love nor hate in this discussion; if you think there is hate, you probably need to become somewhat less sensitive.

  29. None of which provides a valid reason for restricting HPA users to a lower power output.

  30. You have not provided a rationale for limiting HPA to a lower power than other weapons.

    G&G L85A2 ETU help

M110 will take you over the limit i've found in my L85. I got right on the 340-345 mark using a M105 spring from AK2M4 which leaves some room for a sensitive chrono however, you need to diagnose your problem first. I've had guns shooting at 280fps and still firing BBs the distance of my indoors arena. Diagnose and fix the poor performance first then start boosting performance.

    G&G L85A2 ETU help

What weight BBs are you using? If you are using, for example, 0.25g, being just below 300FPS is not a problem. If you are going to work on a gun, you really need to buy a chrono. What did you lube with silicone oil? Gears should not be lubed with it; you need to use something like Super Lube or gun grease. It is possible that you have got silicone oil on the hop rubber, which could explain the very short range. A new spring is only worth investing in if doing everything listed does not drag the power up to where it should be. If everything is sealing, you should only need an M100 or M105 spring.

What is the current FPS? Clean the barrel, check that the hop rubber is intact, open the gearbox and check that the piston head O ring and cylinder head O ring are sealing; if they are not replace them with parts from https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/. Also check that there is no leak between the nozzle and the cylinder head pipe; if there is, get a new nozzle with an internal O ring, if one is available for the G&G L85. If you want to improve range and accuracy, get an XT barrel, a Maple Leaf Macaron hop rubber and a red Omega nub from https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/.

  35. I'd say the zombie themed games are usually aimed more towards the stag do or birthday party market and from experience those groups tend to make game days worse rather than better. Combined with an inability to answer simple questions quite frankly I'd rather shit in my hands and clap than give them any money

  38. I'm not looking for a reason to moan, I'll be honest & say I have no interest in hpa, feels like a step backwards in airsoft when aeg's can easily achieve the required UK power levels & rate of fire commensurate with the real steel models they're copies of. BUT This forum is well known for not only freedom of speech (within reason), at its core are a lot of members commited to keeping the game going, for decades in some cases. it also pushes for a positive sensible stance to all aspects of Airsoft in all it's varieties, & keeping their availability to those who want to play. While that doesn't necessarily correlate with your weirdly biased stance on hpa, it kinda feels like giving hpa users a lower fps might actually encourage some to try to cheat the system, if for example, they're playing your site but they're playing shite, will they blame it on your lower power requirements, & then fiddle with their kit to match, or even scarily surpass those limits. Personally, if I found myself in your position & mindset, I'd be more inclined to exclude hpa entirely if I felt some couldn't be trusted to adhere to the rules. So while you may have felt this is a personal attack, it's more a criticism of the information provided & how it's provided, if that makes sense.

  39. Well your replies certainly are entertaining I'll give you that. They don't make me want to visit your site though How does restricting one particular power source "level the playing field"?

  40. Nope, all you've done is caress your ego with talk of empires etc. That's fine, you keep stroking yourself, it's likely this thread will be around for all to read & make up their own minds, long after your site has folded. Good luck empire builder?

  42. Tell me you don't understand basic physics without saying you don't understand basic physics, 1.14 joules is 1.14 joules, no matter if the bb is propelled by a motor driven piston, gas or farting down a straw. If you don't like hpa then just say so instead of making shit up

  43. the hwat? it's not magical air, it's all air. I'd take 'not trusting HPA users' as a more serious answer. Site owners/staff not understanding basic air musket function is a bit of a red flag if I'm honest. Though, at the end of the day it's shouldn't be much of an issue for a HPA user, it's just a weird choice.

  46. Unfortunatly I don't think we're going to get a reply as Sneakyduck hasn't been back since posting. This puts me off as it makes me think they either can't or don't want to answer potential customer's questions

  47. I don't understand the limit difference for hpa either, if there is a lock on the reg. then let the run at the same power but keep an eye on trigger use/spam. I still haven't been able to get down and see what it's all about or like, as it only runs 4hr sessions that I haven't been able to get to yet. @Sneakyduck I assume your linked to the site in some way, the post reads like an advert and the website for siege project has sneaky duck written on it.
