    What have you made?

Machined/TiG welded a buffer extension, for battery and some cheek weld. Shortened outer barrel, modified silencer & machined out the rail.

  4. Indeed. And just to add more comedic value, the precise moment the video stopped playing, the postman stuffed envelopes through my letterbox. Yeah, you guessed it... the credit card bills
    3 points
  5. It's funny, because it's true. Side note - when I was younger and I got my first credit card, I managed to rack up £27k of credit card debt. You know you have a problem when the letters from the CC company stop being "you've gone a bit over your limit, so we raised it", to "you've gone over your credit limit, GIVE US BACK OUR MONEY!!!!". Fun times.

    JG G3 overspinnininning

Those motor towers were a sod to get made, should be some slightly thicker ones coming with the option of EZO bearings for those who want to rpm over 40,000, although the normal bearings will probably be fine. The reason I mentioned about AB is that every so often I hear a brushed motor failure story from a customer, not just the motors I sell but other brands also. 99% of the time it seems the culprit is Gate's Adaptive AB setting. I've not really looked into the issue though but good to keep in mind.

Tbh I never got in with the "in" crowd at school, seemed like too much hassle. In fact, it still does. ? Although some of the cooler kids (and one grumpy one) appear to have some super awesome motor towers....?? Um, er, no, noooo, noooooaaarrrghhh.. Oh wait, I have an Alfa Romeo, so I need something in the glove box to keep me awake waiting for the AA .?? Oh wait. ...??

  10. thinking a bit more about this. the jg's i've worked on are exclusively ak's, but one thing i did notice was that in stock form they do seem to naturally halt at what would otherwise be considered a good precocked position. one wonders if jg boxes align the col to intentionally cause this (basically mechanically timing the box for precocking bu disengaging the contacts later in the cycle), which means they'd be prime candidates for the niche case of a mosfet (without ab) allowing more current flow to cause a tad of overspin. that said, i ran such a jg on 11.1v with a non ab mosfet for years with zero issues, the only reason it got upgraded to add controlled precocking is i happened to have a gate warfet sitting looking for a home. one of those mysteries like how they seem to run so much smoother than the notionally "better" boxes you'd find in an lct or e&l.

  12. Aw, cheers bud. It's the mc51 version. With a ps90 barrel extension on it. I wanted the full size one so I could put the bipod on it but this came up cheap so I got it. It was on my list of "pews to have that aren't an m4". ? It's vinyl wrap. It's a bit light but it seems to look the part. Bit fiddly with compound curves though ? As with all my hobbies, I don't keep much standard, hence the fiddling. @ak2m4 I feel your pain bud. I wish I had all the tools in my workshop to make things like I did in my apprenticeship but alas, one day it'll happen! The box is here at work with me so I'll play when the boss goes home but I think you're right with the AB. cool kids toys actually work....??

  13. As a bit of an aside - apologies - that's a lovely looking gat. Do you mind me asking what particular model is it (looks somewhat different proportions to my hastily googled 'JG G3' hits!), and is that real wood or some form of wood effect wrap/plastic?

  18. How many pictures have you got uploaded to your account? Perhaps you have hit the limit of your storage - I had to have a clear out the other week. I also make sure I run any pics through a compressor first so they are no bigger than they have to be.

  22. I got the Flecktarn Field Gear about a month ago, ordered up some G3 mag pouches & some more G3 mags which were delivered today (god knows when I'll ever need 8 Hi-caps in a game tho). All I need is a P38 to pop in the holster & I'm finished... or maybe a couple of spare mags for it too... & a mag pouch or 2 for the pistol mags... & a flecktarn bergen... & a M1960 helmet... Oh, bugger... More inportantly tho... I spent a whopping £7 getting the local alteration shop to move the belt attachments so I can wear this webbing comfortably.

  23. Hey bud. No, I bought mine a while ago. To be fair, they're the best of the bunch, and when you're moving, they're pretty good. As soon as I stop though it's like being in Jack the Ripper's London, hence the trial with the AFU. I did have an issue with the Bloc's where, after a BB strike on the lens at the bridge of the nose, a crack appeared. I contacted them on Insta and their customer service was great. They asked for the lens to be sent back so they could investigate, and replaced it FOC. This is what happens when cousins like each other too much!

  24. Mk23 from Action Hobbies boneyard for £17 - just have to remove the franken-jobbed mp5 stock. And a set of 3d print furniture for a Mk23 bought on ebay for £31. So gives me something else for an opfor loadout for not a lot of money (once I scrape the glue and stock off)

  25. Hi bud. Did you get your bloc eyepro at the n.a.e? I bought a pair from their stand but on the understanding that if they fogged they would have them back and I would have my £50 refunded. I'm like you and sweat worse than a nun in a cucumber field. However they worked and although I played hard they didn't fog? Regards

    Tell Us a Gag. Please!

A man tells his friend that he has been sleeping around. The friend advises him to go and confess in church. So they go together and the man enters the confession box. Man: Father, I have sinned. Priest: What have you done, my son? Man: I have been sleeping around with married women in your congregation. Priest: Which one my son? Mary Charles? Man: No, father Priest: Patricia Jones? Man: No father Priest: Jeana Lee? Man: No, father Priest: Ok, put 5 pounds in the donation box and I shall pray to God to forgive you. The man comes out, puts five pounds in the box and walks out with his friend. Friend: So what happened? What did you get? Man: Three good leads

  29. I'm thinking an oldskool M16A1 would look great with the plastic furniture clad in that wrap as well.... In actual fact i spotted what looked like an A1 with wooden furniture in an episode of 'The Continental' on amazon a week or so back (cracking viewing if you haven't seen it yet).

    What have you made?

I picked up a red dot sight, off here, and decided to design and 3d print a protector. 1st prototype looks cool enough but cutting the acrylic sheet round and then fitting it into the holder was too much. So . . Prototype mk2 Happy with that one. Printed quickly in PLA so I'll get some better fillament, maybe ABS, and print it properly. Designed in Tinkercad, sliced in Prusaslicer, printed on an Anycubic Kobra.

Well between my local site closing and a new local just strating up have only been twice this yeah. Work doesnt help where I work 2 out of 4 weekends. Also sorting our house out after a major water leak has taken much of my time this year. Hopefully by Christmas it will be alsorted ready for a new year of airsoft to come.

The boys gone mad for his. He's got a g&g toptek air recoil type thing. He loves it. I found a cheapy front grip off an mp5k and modded an led torch into the front of it. Just for a laugh ?

  43. I make a point of watching it once a year; Deliverance is usually seen as the classic film in this rather narrow “hunted by marginalised Americans” genre, but I think Southern Comfort is the better film.

  46. Working on making a hk21 machinegun out of an old jg g3. The handguard is nearly done but I still need to make the outer barrel and barrel swap handle. Then its onto makeing an adapter to make the magwell look like its belt fed. Planning to make a snap in piece that I can attach a modified cmag to with a box around it. Should be able to just pull the adaptor and switch to using normal mags just fine if I need. not going for 100% accurate. Im going for the overall look with a few quality of life things like picatinny for a foregrip and bipod.

    What are you driving?

I'm on my third Alfa Romeo. Wife had a 159, I had a 147ts and now I have a giulietta qv. It's very silly. I liken it to being married to a super model. 80% of the time it's awesome. 10 % of the time it's trying to bankrupt you 10% of the time it's trying to kill you... ???
