I'll be honest, I haven't much experience of motors outside of stock ones or the Rocket Green 16/22TPA and the SLD 22TPA. The SLD is good for builds where you are going to short stroke or DMR, it's a bit slow for an aftermarket motor if using with a standard gearset, but it has all the torque you need to pull a heavy spring for short stroking etc. For best performance use with a 9.9v life or 11.1v lipo. The screw down tabs are quite long and I had to dremel out part of a V6 gearbox to be able to set the motor height. It's also a little noisy, so I wouldn't use it for quiet builds. The Rocket green TPA is my favourite motor, it's relatively cheap, very fast and relatively quiet has a good amount of torque for a 16TPA. Cant fault it and it's quite good for both short stroking and standard gear sets. The 22TPA version is incredibly powerful whilst still being fast and should only be used in DMRs and shortstroked builds, even when used on a 7.4 lipo it was over spinning my standard gear set F2000 double shot on semi. My favourite stock motors are the SRC Neo Magnatar series which has a surprising amount of torque and whatever S&T put in their ARX160s (Has the same can as the SLD but less Torque more speed) not sure if its Neo but is a good ferrite if not. One motor that completely surprised me was when I swapped out a Standard JG ferrite in my MP5 is the TM EG1000 ferrite and it goes like absolute stink on a standard gearset and 7.4 lipo, it needs to be heard to be believed. Goes to show that the EG1000 is still a very viable motor for standard builds. So my opinion is to spend a little extra over the tempting SLD and go for the Rocket Green. It's incredible value and according to Sam of KOA fame it's almost as good as an Action Army 40k.2 points

Thing is, there are so many variables that could inevitably end in joint issues etc, for starters have a look around the average safezone & you'll see every body shape, from stick thin to morbidly obese, & it could be argued that most will load up with more kit than they need (or are used to), & when the whistle blows charge off across rough unknown terrain, every step inviting potential life changing injuries, & who's better to run the risk, the stick thin teen with still developing but very limited muscle mass, or the obese porker who while he's unfit, at least his body is attuned to carrying extra mass. its a minefield, so to speak. im not bashing the training plates as such, after all they're only a weight & at least being worn close to the body their prob less detrimental than a loaded backpack that may swing around if not loaded & worn properly. but any weighted training aid needs to be worked up to, your exercise routine needs to have peaked & is maintainable at your current level before you add to it, for many airsofters putting on a pc & loading it with mags & water etc may already far exceed what their used to, especially if the don't have a regular exercise regime, & adding weighted plated because the may have read it's "the thing" at the moment isn't gonna turn them in to athletes overnight. im going the other way with my load-outs, a number of rigs according to what's needed, but for the average skirmish I'm going light as possible, enough water & mags for an hour, top up back in the safe zone, I've nothing to prove & am already carrying enough timber lol.2 points -
Tokyo Marui KSG shotgun

This advert is COMPLETED!

For sale here is my Tokyo Marui KSG shotgun, it is an absolute beast of a shotgun that feels amazing in your hands. It also looks absolutely incredible, and sounds it too thanks to the gas power!!!The gun is boxed in its original box and comes with all the leaflets that are inside, an original TM 30 bb shotgun shell, and 6 Nuprol 30 b shells with a very handy wrist strap for easy loading during a game. There are 2 gas tanks included, however one does not hold gas, unfortunately it was sold to me this way and I do not have the know how to attempt a fix and my local shop stopped “teching”. Have been told it could be an easy fix. But the tank that does hold gas easily lasts a CQB match in my experience. Here is patrolbase’s web page for the gun with all detailshttps://www.patrolbase.co.uk/tokyo-marui-no-04-kel-tec-ksg-gas-shotgun?pv=3047Additional photos/video can be sent. I believe it is in very good condition with very minimal wear if any, used on 3 skirmish evenings, just that shotgunning is not for me. Collection would be preferred, delivery may be considered at buyers cost. Any questions please text or email, UKARA or other defence required please. Thanks for looking£250

Some fast mag pouches (dirt cheap I grey, now resprayed). Dont know why I never got some sooner. Nice quick and easy to use, perhaps fast even. No need for a dump pouch, and no more dumping my mag on the ground instead of fannying around trying to get it back in the osprey pouch.1 point -

Another order from @ak2m4. Part one of two eventual orders to fix various issues with existing and incoming RIFs. 2 x Acetech Mosfets to replace my Pico Gate AB ones in the SL8 and XM8. I cant trigger spam with the gate without locking up. 1 x 5 inch outer barrel extension for my XM8 DMR plan. 1 x Maple Leaf 60 degree VSR bucking. Replacing a 70 degree one to see if I can lift .48s on my troublesome bolty. 1 x ZCI 363mm 6.02 inner barrel. My newer XM8 is mechanically sound and shooting at a healthy 330 FPS, this should take me closer to 350 and tighten up the grouping.1 point

True, but that's the seller's problem. As a buyer, all I care about is that I can get the same toy gun delivered to me brand new, from an actual retailer, with a suppressor and extra mag, for less than this... optimist... is asking for his shagged out Frankengun.1 point -

ASG Red dot from Action Hobbies' boneyard. £12. Been on the lookout for something retro-futuristic for the PDR-C before it goes off for paint. Quite like how slim and blocky it is. Should fit the top of the PDR nicely.1 point -

Or they are just repeating crap they have also learnt from other varying sources and not found out for themselves.... Serving people would obviously get bad knees from the weight, were talking airsoft here where people are hard pushed to wear the gear they own for any longer than 6 or so hours (even milsims I would say the same as people slope off for food, drink etc). Me personally, I have a set and I also have quite bad sciatic pain (again this is me personally) since getting a set and running them in my plate carrier its helped with the issues as my PC actually sits where its supposed to and is more evenly balanced after having a long hard look at where and how I had set up the externals, pouches etc. Yes, training plates aren't for everyone but as @BibbsOnTour mentioned they come in varying weights from 1.6kg upwards (and judging by majority of airsofters who carry way to much unnecessary shit anyway people can hardly talk about carrying to much weight). People actually thinking about their kit and setting things up right would barley notice any difference. hell I had a guy this weekend adamant he was taking three guns out to each game, two of which... guess what... stayed by the spawn the whole time. This ^ Instead of bashing the people that do have them or want to run them in whatever weight they choose why not be productive and ask questions about them and what benefits they have found from using them, again yes armed forces wear plates. They also do a lot of other things that airsofters don't do, like tab for insane amounts of hours in blistering heat not only carrying plates but ammo, weapons systems (that are a lot heavier than airsoft guns in most instances), water, radios, food, med kits.... the list is pretty long, so while I appreciate the weight of plates is adding weight to you i would hazard a pretty fucking big guess its not just the plates that would account for knee issues within the military... happy to be proven wrong if plates are the sole reason for bad knees.1 point -
Oh Shi'... my missus made an off hand comment about how she didn't realise how many rifles I have... I think she worked out that my 9 rifle bags also have an additional rifle in the large front pocket of each one!1 point

It's most of the parts to make a complete gearbox (minus the cylinder and spring that I already have) for the MK12 DMR I'm building. All E&C parts except for the gears which are SLD.1 point

Wolverine MTW - Any one in the UK own one?
BibbsOnTour reacted to CaptainDumbass for a topic
Havent had chance to tune and shoot it yet but first impressions: I have never handled an airsoft weapon of this quality. When they call it a "training weapon" they werent kidding. I am very impressed at how compatible the parts are for these things. Ive chucked a bunch of aftermarket parts on as you can see, which confirmed for me almost everything is compatible with Milspec, AEG, and GBBR parts which is handy for anyone moving over to HPA that previously owned an M4/AR based gun. I am very glad wolverine made their rail system M-LOK over keymod. looks a feels 100 times nicer. I was lost for words at how light this thing was despite it being 90% full metal. I could give this to a young teenager and they would be able to sport this all day without a problem. Definitely lighter than my G&G Scar-L. Aesthetically and Ergonomically I cant find a single fault with the base gun bar two things. The only issues I faced was the split receiver (these things break down exactly like real AR's) was abit wobbly. Fortunately I had a spare G&P magic pin which resolved this issue right away. I havent seen many people speak about this issue on the forum so i could have been unlucky. But either way, if you find the same issues, its less than a tenner to amend. Secondly, my after market stock (AEG) was very wobbly when fitting. This was to be expected as ive heard many people mention this on the Wolverine Owners group on facebook. Easiest solution in the world: couple strips of electrical tape either side & the top of the buffer tube (where it would be hidden under the stock), slid the stock back ona nd no wobble at all. You'd never know the tape was there by sight also. My only suggestion to wolverine would be to have some kind of sling mount added to the stock gun or at least have it as a option in their "gun builder" on their site or high pressure airsoft's site. I had to find a mil spec AR sling mount end plate on ebay so i can use my single point sling.1 point -
